It is a middle Eastern tradition and it is mostly like an arranged marriage where you are going to ask someone to marry his daughter and show him your son who wants to marry her, the usually the girl brings you something to drink and then the others leaves you alone and the girl then let you see her face and you suppose to get to know each other more, after that they will engaged and they will get married after a while, maybe in a year or more
Mostly happen between religious families and between families that know each other or trust each other

The weird detective character from the first movie I'm like 90% sure is supposed to be a cheetah? Apparently there are actual cheetahs in Iran so that's probably why they added a cheetah character, although considering the rest of the characters in the movie (even in the setting of Tehran) are fish/other sea creatures it still lowkey makes like no sense.

Mr krab sends spongebob on a one way tour to iran after hearing how dangerous iran is by donald trump to get rid of SpongeBob because he's making a lot of costumers leave by being too annoying .
while on the plane they read about how terrible iran is so throwout most of the movie they are scared shitless that "Chris" might wanna hurt them.
The rest of the movie is just a bunch of random nonesense, Chris finds a job for them in one if his relatives restaurants, i mean iranian Mr krab, and then Patrick falls in love with that girl and decides to loose weight using medicine that was being advertised on the tv but they obviously don't work and he couldn't even get a refund,
But eventually iranian mr krabs suggests Patrick to go on a "khastegari" for the girl , which is an Iranian tradition where the parrents of the man meet the parrents of the woman he's in love with to ask them if they allow them to marry her, and some other stuff like "mehrieh" so they are not mob bosses they are the girls parrents, which are actually rich , but not mob bosses,
The end wasn't Patrick banging the girl it was Patrick rejecting her after seeing that her nose was too big lol.
