Sotetsu Grand Frésa TOKYO-BAY ARIAKE - Hotel near TOKYO BIG SIGHT

This hotel is a 3-minute walk from Kokusai-Tenjijo Station on the Rinkai Line and Tokyo Big Sight Station on the Yurikamome Line. It is a 5-minute walk to Tokyo Big Sight and within walking distance to Odaiba, making it a convenient location for business and leisure travelers. The hotel is a Good Neighbor Hotel of Tokyo Disney Resort, and the Good Neighbor Hotel Shuttle Bus runs round-trip as a complimentary service for guests only. Shuttle buses to Haneda Airport and Narita Airport are also available (for a fee). The hotel has a restaurant and café, as well as a 24-hour convenience store.

Tokyo Big Sight is the largest international exhibition center in Japan. The room I stayed in was a standard suite, but it was like an apartment with a small kitchen, washer/dryer, and microwave oven. The night view of Ariake from the balcony was wonderful.
The name of the show was changed from the previous Tokyo Motor Show to the Japan Mobility Show. 2021 was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the show was held for the first time in four years. This year's show went from being an exhibition of automobiles only to an exhibition of a wide range of mobility. However, I felt it was not much different from past motor shows. It was unfortunate that not many foreign automakers participated, but the venue was gorgeous, and I enjoyed myself from past 11:00 until the end of the show at 19:00, when I was exhausted.
In the evening, I went to the Umami Burger Ariake Garden store, about 15 minutes walk from the hotel, and bought a truffle burger to go I had it for the first time since its entry into Japan in 2017. It was delicious and went well with red wine.
The hotel was inexpensive and the night view was beautiful. The gorgeous afterglow of the Japan Mobility Show 2023 lingered in my mind and I didn't want to check out.
