Dark and Swirly - Tulipwood bowl - Wood turning

7'' x 2'' (177mm x 52mm) Tulipwood Bowl.
This piece has beautiful creamy yellow grain from the sapwood of the tree with the contrast of the green heartwood, combined with some very dark water marking. I am a big fan of tulipwood, as it is fairly hard and relatively inexpensive, plus it cuts like butter!

It's beautiful wood well turned, tulip tree is an American poplar and different to our uk poplar but we do get tulip tree growing it's not uncommon to see a large tulip tree in a garden or park.👍🏻
