    Windows user. Thanks for that tutorial. Much appreciated. Last time I did cutouts I dicked around for ages at a pixel level trying to get the edges nicer.

    Hi Colin. Nice idea. Love your tutorials. But, isn't it easier to do this through Select and Mask? Btw, I'm a Mac user.

      Actually I often do this AFTER select and mask :)

      @@photoshopcafe This can be very useful if something is missed after Select & Mask. I develop a multi stage process through S&M after which nothing is missed. But if it is, your technique is salvation. :)

    when im using the brush to smooth out the edge of my subject I end up getting a black line brushed in. Why might that be?

    This is the first time I have found your website. I am a PC user. Do you have a video on how to blur the edges of an image and then be able to place it onto another background or photo without the hard line around the edge of the photo (but just the blurred edge) - I am desperate to do this!     This is great... Thank you! I wonder why Adobe doest do masking better right in the first place! Lightroom masks hair great, but then distorts and makes grainy, noisy skin edges. Photoshop creates a cleaner skin mask edge, but can't do hair... Thank you for being here!
