      What is the temperature of the room that the incubator is in? If the room is warm then it seems the heating element is not working, it the room is cold, you may need to warm it up.

    I have 2 wires for my 220v AC motor but here I have to connect 3 wires. Turn left, turn right and Com. So I have to connect one wire to Com and one wire with a bridge to turn right and turn left?

    • @The10AcreWoods
      @The10AcreWoods  Před 3 lety +2

      Not sure about the 220v, you should have 3 connections into the motor that includes your power and control. I'm not sure if you can bridge the two turn connections, I would check with the manufacturer on that.

    Thanks for the video, very detailed!
    im starting to built an incubator from an old refrigerator and i was thinking about to use a simple thermostat, but now im thinking that it would be better if i get this controller(or maybe the older version of yours, the XM-18).
    the question is, i have 2 egg trays + one fan, each one works with 12V power. can i connect them on the controller as your video or i need to give them a different source of power? (does the controller trimm down the voltage for the fans and the eggtray motors)

    • @The10AcreWoods
      @The10AcreWoods  Před 6 lety

      Greetings, The main fan is 120V and is wired directly to the main breaker switch as the heating element can come on when the main power is turned on and you want to make sure the fan is moving air so you don't burn out the heater. The tray turn fan is 12VDC. This unit has been modified to work on North American power of 120V and may be differently wired depending on the equipment you have available and may need to use a relay to control some of the equipment. Hope this helps, Thanks for watching!

Some models may have a "fan" switch but I am unaware of what fan it controls.

      Hi Dragonladyx, To adjust your trays from tilting too much you can adjust the limit switches that I talk about around 13:15 by bending the tin that the switch is mounted on down slightly. To manually move the rack for unloading, press the "Up Arrow" button once, then again after a slight pause and hold, once your rack is in the position you want, release the button. Hope this works out, let me know if you have any other questions.

I have an issues with my board, no voltage going out to the main heater. Corona Virus has got supply lines all crazy and new parts are a month and a half out... So I am doing a rip and replace with a raspberry pi and making my own controller. If you happen to know, or could possibly check for me, the main heater coil and humidity heater are both 120VAC.?? I have to assume so.. but have also paid dearly in life for doing so... on enough occasions that I would rather try to find out before just wiring it up!! Thanks again for the info... • @The10AcreWoods
      @The10AcreWoods  Před 6 lety

      Make sure the humidity outside the incubator is below 60%. If your incubator has a fan, you should see it running until the inside air humidity is at or below the setpoint of 60%. There are times when people built their own incubator and the fan is not large enough for the size of the incubator. It often takes a few hours of operation for the temperature and humidity to reach the desired settings. I hope this helps.

    • @The10AcreWoods
      @The10AcreWoods  Před 6 lety

      Pictures will not be useful to me, you should check and make sure the fan is connected to the controller, if it is you should disconnect it ant test the fan with a power supply to make sure the fan works, if not, replace the fan. If it does work, try connecting it back up and trying again. If you are still having the same problem there is likely a problem with the controller, you can further test to see if the connection from the controller is putting out 12v but it likely is not if the fan will not operate.
