If you add a contrast paints over that like apothecary white I wonder if it would tie it all together

Apothecary white has a blue hue so won't work - it will make the recesses look milky. You can using much thinner layers to achieve a smoother transition if that's what you're qfter

Why do you spray white below/black abive? Is it some form of reverse zenithal? Im genuinley curious

Hi George - actually this was white over black in a normal zenithal - then when I went to make the tutorial it didn't look right so I painted over the zenithal
You can use it the other way round to simulate a character standing above a light source 👍🏻

You could try aggaros dunes or skeleton horde over wraithbone - try it on a spare part to see which one you like
