One little feature about that fairing that the new ones don’t have are the compartments that open into the housing of the fairing, I used to be able to put all my clothes for a vacation in the fairing leaving the saddlebags and tour Pak for the wife, much more room than new ones

What’s up Ken I’m a mailman in Iowa-- you remind me of my dad and a couple customers on my route. Take care!

1982 was the first year of upgraded switches. Huge improvement!
If I remember correctly, it has oil bath fully enclosed final drive chain. Tour Glide was the first 5 speed rubber mounted engine.

That would be correct, it was enclosed oil bath chain driven until 1985. Oddly enough there were other belt driven bikes before then yet Harley Davidson didn't incorporate it into everything across the board which never made sense to me.

My Brother has one of the rarest Harley Davidson ever produced which just so happens to be a FLT Tour Glide. Do a search of 1986 Liberty Tour Glide and you'll see it. Sorry if its not the best video but it's all I had at the time. Its number 124 of 160 made, read the comments within the videos to see the full history behind the Liberty bikes.

Unrestored....? Lots of after market stuff on it. That eagle on the front fender is terrible. Someone mustah stole the OEM fender decal. Not original bag latches. Cool scoot prob a sixty five hundred dollar bike ish. I own it's cousin in tan/cream. I've never seen the paint job like that. It's the Sturgis scheme. Get the rims painted with a red stripe boom. Mice love the fairing. After market horn too. Retro fitted later model FL horn.

I’m with ya, an 82 would have an eagle for the year. That color isn’t listed on the parts diagram for the year. It’s definitely far from an original. The windscreen is :) lol

Why not just buy a tractor? Hardly driveables are a waste of a good pump motor. Mind you how else would you advertise the fact you're an amphetamine dealer?
