this guy certainly sets the bar up high,a one off in its own right,the detail and painstaking sheer graft and ingenuity are mindblowing,this is no kit car,this is a true labour of love,makes me think my own project,(diablo roadster,with a 5.4 v12) is a walk in the park,total respect to this guy.awe inspiring,and like he says,if you put your mind to something and want it enough.............you know the rest.

The frame looks like overkill but when I saw the weight of the car I was amazed he was able to keep the weight so low! It looks like it's built like a tank!
Wow, man blir nästan tårögd av hans entusiasm, engagemang och genuina intresse. Önska han hade någon sida/swishkonto eller liknande så man kan sponsra honom i arbetet eller om någon vill vidta med hjälp.. iof är han ju själv en mega expert.. men inland kan det vara vettigt att skå ihop två eller flera idéer.. lycka till.

Wow! The F40 to me is the ultimate unicorn car. And though this one is not the real deal, it's VERY impressive. I don't mind the Audi motor and all the other stuff he ripped from different cars. I find it interesting that he managed to get so colse to the original weight figure, even though the frame and body are all metal.
Anyone who might be bashing on him for having a fake F40, shut up and try to build a better car!

WOW. I'm not a fan of replicas. I do how ever like some kit cars like Factory Five. His F40 is a work of art. That is some AMAZING craftsmanship!

I bet it's a better quality vehicle then the real f40
If you look at Jeremy Clarkson's F40 it was awful. Glue clearly exposed between each joint. Paint so thin it was translucent. And you can tell carbon fiber techniques weren't as advanced as it is now so panels never really lined up. Also the way turbos worked in it is laughable like you had zero boost till you rev the darn thing. And the brakes don't work when it's cold.
Älskar denna killes entusiasm! Även faktumet att han vill ha en pålitlig bil (inte direkt Ferraris starka sida). Är man snuskigt rik kan man köpa en äkta, köra några mil om året och spendera en Svensson-årslön på service konstant, men ytterst få skulle bygga sin egen från grunden, oavsett ekonomi!
Äger du en Ferrari iom att du skriver att de inte är pålitliga?

The F40 is my favorite Ferrari of all time and this really looks good and that Audi engine should push out over 400-BHP so it won't be slow that's for sure. I will look forward to seeing it on the road this spring.

Helt fantastiskt snyggt gjort! Och jag håller med honom, man kan inte bygga en sån här bil 100% original. Det är HELT ok att plocka ihop från andra bilar. Och kul också. Det är faktiskt en större konst att få ihop och anpassa en sån här kärra och se så bra ut från helt olika bilar och helt egna lösningar, än att bara sätta ihop originaldelar. Jag gillade det här! Snyggt jobbat!!!

Enzo was kind of a dick and probably would have sued him.
Back in the Miami Vice days, the fake Daytona Spyder got so much attention that Enzo offered the show a new Testarossa and demanded the fake be removed. Another car is the F40 LM Barchetta. Ferrari made the owner remove the badges and refuses to accept it as a real Ferrari for not authorizing the modifications. Though Enzo might be impressed by the work here (which is amazing btw)....he probably would’ve sued the builder for calling it a Ferrari. 😜

This is like the story of the man who built a Lamborghini Countach from scratch in Wisconsin.
He used NO kit. Built the frame himself and hand formed the bodywork from metal as well (aluminum sheet I believe)
Both of these men have built their dream cars to very high quality standards. I personally love the F40 rather than the Lamborghini but the build quality is amazing in both projects.
I'm certain this runs better than a real Ferrari as well.

People have built kit cars before and most of them have looked like crap but the amount of work that has gone into this one is staggering as is the end result which is near perfection. The guy did a great job on this, though I am a bit concerned about the structural integrity of the car. A 4.2 TT V8 with a sheet metal body, it isn't going to be a pretty picture is it crashes somewhere. But the guy did say he was not interested in performance and that he just wants this for weekend drives so hopefully nothing bad will likely happen.

@@fillerf By TT he mean twin turbo, the largest engine available in an audi TT is a vr6 as far as i know. Also this car has a tubular chassis, it's not built up on an existing pre-made chassis man.
