  • Traditional Chuheli wrestling competitions are held every year in the Esferayin district of Bocnurd, the central city of Iran's North Khorasan province. It is stated that wrestling, whose Kurdish name is Ba Çuhe, takes its name from the garment called Çuhe that athletes wear on their backs during the competition. Broadcloth is a cardigan-shaped garment without buttons, sewn from sheep wool, and is tied with blue and red belts. In the competition held on clay, athletes try to bring down their opponents' backs. Spectators showed interest in the competitions.
