How to STOP this KILLER Golf Swing Move
VloĆŸit

- Extension too early in the downswing restricts the rest of the motion and throws the low-point out of the golf swing way behind the ball! Here we went through a few drills and exercises with Liam to get his sequencing working more functionally - lowering the spin on his ball flight, bringing the low-point forward and increasing the control he had over his irons.
As always a huge thanks to Liam for letting us share his ZEN Golf Mechanics experience with you guys!

Haha maybe one day đ for now we're grateful for anyone who spends the time watching and we hope it helps! Cheers, James!
Couldnât agree more. This entire channel and all of the Zen instructors are fantastic. Itâs the best instruction on CZcams, bar none. Cheers
Couldn't agree more, it's mind boggling!
People donât believe it because it goes agains everything else you see on the internet. The industry doesnât make money by fixing the problems. It makes money by having you come back for more.
@@roxter299roxter7 unfortunate, but true.
The ball roll swing change is huge, from positional thinking to dynamic action and the body responding. Light bulb moment for the student, well done Marcus.
Hi, I think some of Your videos and specially this one is one of the best videos ever explaining the golfswing. Im a scratchgolfer but have always struggling with the lowpoint. One video of 20 min + 1 hour in the range were all I needed.
10 years of focus to get the hands in front without loosing speed solved in one lesson
GREAT coaching!!!
Excellent lesson. Hints from David Lee but with use of the training aids. Wish you had some online instruction.
That was amazing.
This guy has gone from being unable to walk and chew gum at the same time, to striping it like a single handicapper.
Marcus has the most incredible communication skills and adapts his coaching to suit the individual, unlike the common, one size fits all approach , adopted by too many golf instructors.
Haha very kind words, both Nigel and Liam had a adept skillset when they walked through the door, we just helped to provide and environment to showcase their skills a little more elaborately đ
@@GRFGolf Marcus my Qs is that when you have gone down in the backswing and land on your left with left tilt you were suggesting the player to stand up. Wouldnt that cause extension?
Guys, this stuff is so simple but transformatory đđŒ - will you be posting the driver video ?
Iâve watched every single one of these videos(honestly) and this is one of my favourites... I think itâs because of the realisation of his âkillerâ move and the joy he gets from finding the push! It reminds me so much of my lesson with Sam(I had a terrible hip slideđ) Iâm going to have another watch of my video and tomorrow the board is coming out the bag... about time I had a refresher at the range! đđŒđ
That was brilliant to watch. As a fellow early release swayer, it has taken a lot of hard work to get rid of that feeling. Had my lesson with Sam in December, and it's all coming together nicely. Great work, guys đ
Great to hear Ritchie and thanks for taking the time to visit!
Outstanding sir! I just came across this today. A lightbulb moment for me on what loading the lead side really looks like and what to do once it is loaded. I look forward to putting this into practice. Hitting into the net at home following this has relieved my mind of so many swing thoughts.
Great video. Love to see the reactions. The sound of him hitting it thin at the start to compressing the snot out of it at the end is ridiculous. Thanks for the video. đ
Best sound in the world đ€
Superb explanation!!!
I've been at the range practicing my weightshift with my body to give me a better ball strike. I'm still a little inconsistent but improving. I think it's finally just clicked that the key move is to drop the left shoulder to allow extention as you pop. I cant wait to try this as I think this is key to bottoming out after the ball!!! Well explained again đ đ đ
Thanks Scott, let us know how you get on đ
Wow... how you transformed that swing. Just WOW.
Really amazing session. With truly excellent coaching to find a way of getting Liam to experience the drop
What I would give to be able to get a lesson from Marcus, but I live in Hawaii and heâs half way around the world , so these videos are huge for those of us that canât get a personal lesson.
Thank you Marcus đ
Coming to Cali this month đ
@@GRFGolf what days ? I might be able to make it there depending on the days your there.
Like the music mix George!
đ pleased to hear!
What a difference!!
Beautiful effortless golf swing once he incorporated those changes.
Great lesson! One feeling or idea that I found that works is to feel like Iâm keeping my back to the target.
Incredibly interesting video. Thanks, gents.
Glad to hear and thank you as per usual!
Probably your best video yet! Well done Marcus.
Cheers Michael đ
This is a game changer, thank you đ
Cheers, Tom!
It would be nice to see you guys have a session on the east coast of the states. Great content.
Hopefully near New York this year đ
Absolutely amazing.
This is the bye far the best explanation of the golf swing I have ever heard. One day I will manage to get over to England and have a day with you guys, cheers đ
Got there in the end brilliant
đđđ
Well done Liam, nearly there, I have a dream !! đ
đđ
What a transformation! Great stuff! Do you worry about where the arms go in the backswing? Like right elbow getting too "deep" or arms too far behind them? Or as long as the result is okay then don't overthink it :) Speaking of overthinking it what is acceptable range of the in-to-out Club Path angle (not face) on something like Trackman? Love watching these lessons. Cheers!
New years resolution is to get up there myself for a lesson
I like seeing a lesson where this didn't come so easy to someone. I feel like most of the videos are of instant results. Good to see a little struggle every once in a while lol.
Every lesson experiences plenty of struggle as that's when the real learning takes place đ
Great video!
Cheers, Iain!
This is me. Your breakdown and buildup was brilliant.
When is your membership coming around !?
Thanks, won't be long đ
Sooo good!
Thanks, was a great session with Liam and Nigel đ
Awesome!!
Cheers, Lee đ
Marcus knows just how to communicate it when the student couldn't get it
Adjust the constraints of the task and the body will always respond đ
at 12 min mark is exactly what I do. Cannot get my weight onto left side while keeping left shoulder low. Mike Jacobs asked me when is the left shoulder lowest in the swing-i said at the top of backswing. He said no-it's at onset of downswing-this makes it very visible. My issue is the rear tilting of the spine from the 'death move". How do you get the lower body to get out of the way while left shoulder stays low at start of downswing!. Wish I could fly to you tomorrow!!!
I feel your pain, brother. I have all the same issues you have. Funny thing is that I didnât use toâŠI got worse, way worse. Harder I tried, the worse it got.
This video seems to be an eye opener tho. I got here through one of your comments on another video , so thanks for that (especially if it helps. I canât keep my left shoulder down to save my life at the moment lol. Iâd jump on that plane to see these guys and get sorted out in a heartbeat if I could!
Hmm...this action is looking more and more stacked. Like the concept of extension through standing up on left leg. Don't agree that if you stand up 'too early' you run out of extension. Well, yes, sure if you do it the wrong way. But if you fire upwards through vertical left forces while throwing club downwards and THEN once you've reached the end of left leg extension, you continue through chest pivot up into finish.
You can make anything work to a degree - but extending too early throws out the low point and you're likely to struggle optimising that transfer of kinetic energy through to the golf club. If you try and extend really soon when throwing a ball this demonstrates it quite well đ appreciate the input!
As a right handed golfer, is it ok to move slightly right during the backswing? Or sway as itâs called. Normally the sway is considered a bad thing. But I find adding pressure onto the left leg way easier by âswayingâ to the right leg and then moving forward into the left. It adds flow I feel.
Every single good player does, but they do it early, some before the club has even moved away from the ball.
@@sirtogii5216 well answered đ
Man you earned your corn on this one
Gents please come to thailand
Such a breath of fresh air a different way of showing a pupil on how to swing a club rather than positions 123 and so on, great videos keep them coming. đđ
The drop seems to put the head in front of the golf ball?
Kids got a great swing
Absolutely đ
This was like watching a trainer breaking a race horse
This student's strength is that he can laugh at his failures and difficulties. I don't have that ability.
Shift & TurnâŠshift & turn. Very similar body motions to Dr Kwon
Hi, om trying to contact you about booking a lesson but havenât getting any respons: where should i contact you?
You can book via the online booking system. The link is in the video description đ
@@GRFGolf Is it possible to borrow/rent clubs? Iâm flying by so canât bring my clubs.
@@anton8240 Yes we can sort you some clubs to borrow but I'd always recommend bringing your own if possible.
Great lesson but jeez that English weatherđ±
Counting down the days 'til summer đ
I hope no clubs were hurt in the making of this video
Can confirm that no clubs were hurt đ
Fuck me, was this an episode of youâve been framed, lf not, you earned your bastard moneyđ„Ž
The biggest killer of a nice swing is the ball.
I thought the killer move was the 400 quid you pay after the lesson đ
People have âlessons after lessonsâ over years and years and spend a lot more than ÂŁ400 yet they never get any better long term.
This was worth every penny.
You are not paying just for the lesson, you are paying for the knowledge that Marcus has gained over years of studying and also the qualifications he has gained.
@@DogsHealthShop so youâre saying this lesson is all you need? Man I need to find the equivalent guitar teacher . Slow down the guys swing and you see heâs still has a lot do work on , letâs hope he doesnât need many more lessons eh? đ btw I buy into the guys swing philosophy, other guys like Dr kwon and milo lines have been doing this stuff for years .
@@TopblokeGolf I was the other guy in the video and yes this is the only lesson I will have due to the ânaturalâ way you hit the ball.
Liam plays off 5 and I would expect this to fall over the coming months.
I am a little long in the tooth to get to that level and also have significant back problems but the natural movements Marcus showed me may well allow me to continue playing for many years to come.
Oh and it was ÂŁ600 for both of us and worth every pennyâŠ.
The lesson was 4 hours long so majority is not shown in these videos.
I have never seen anyone who has had a zen lesson give negative feedback đ
@@DogsHealthShop righty ho
â@@DogsHealthShop once again it was a pleasure having you both! And the feedback is very much appreciated đ
