As an English person, I enjoyed all the tea talk 😂 For the record, you can't beat a good cup of Tetley tea (black tea) with milk and a little sugar. If anyone ever finds themselves in Yorkshire, Betty's in York is a tea shop that'll give you that old fashioned experience, without breaking the bank. London is SO expensive!

I don't have any way to reach out and ask Cassie directly so I'm asking here. I bought those 1 story bane chronicles books and really want the other stories in these single story forms too. No,I'm not asking someone to make them. I actually want to make them on my own. I just wanted to ask if it would be wrong to do so or am I allowed to make my own version of the bane chronicles books. Can you read chain of gold and chain or iron without reading the rest of the shadow hunter series
You should definitely read The Infernal Devices first, but TMI and TDA aren’t necessary to understand this series

I really want to read this series but I'm not sure where to start....can someone help be figure it out??? Thank you if you can!!
you can either go by release date which has the mortal instruments first, or in chronological order which is the infernal devices first. Ive only ever read them in order of release date so I don't know which is best, but The mortal instruments is her longest series so if you want a slower start into the shadowhunters chronicles start with the infernal devices, but I'm not sure how the world building is in that series because it was not the first one I read.

I wouldn't start with Chain of Gold as I think the world building felt kinda flat in this one. I'd suggest reading the first three TMI books (skip the last three if it's too much of a commitment for you to read all six books in a row. Or come back later If you fancy it haha- but the first three work as a trilogy just fine) and then continue with TID :) Enjoy!! xx
