2 years ago I saw this beautiful cover and decided "why not"? here I am today, sobbing over these characters. here's a little (actually my longest so far) video of me re-reading the first two books of "The Last Hours" to prepare. feel free to you this as a reminder of the plot if you need one, since there are too many spoilers in this one :)

Ria do you know if one can read this trilogy without having read all the "main" shadowhunter books before? Because the amount of books this world has is inmense 😅
so, yes, you definitely can read these books as they are: they are it’s own story! Chain of Gold was my first shadowhunters book as well 🥹
but there’s The Infernal Devices trilogy, basically it’s the one you should read before The Last Hours. it’s about the parents of all of the main characters of The Last Hours and you’ll spoil everything to yourself if you’ll skip (but for me it was okay)!
i honestly recommend reading The Infernal Devices before The Last Hours, it’s an amazing series (some prefer it over The Last Hours), and it’s not very long. I haven’t read any other books by Cassandra Clare, but i did my research, so you can skip all of the others for now 😅
