how does this man not have 1,000 subs? this production quality is amazing!
Haha thank you! Hopefully 1k subs soon!
Bruh agreed
Agree
Correction, 100,000 subs
1k only?!
sounds so good! this review single-handedly convinced me to get this board haha, thanks so much for such a great vid :)
Thanks glad you enjoyed!
The intro from Spy Family🙌
This is the best keyboard reviewer ive seen with such low subs. this man deserves more!
Thank you so much!
I have this board, and all I can say is that the stock included stabs are not bad, not bad at all, especially if you lube it, I lube mine with kryotox 205g0 its so good.
Yup! I can't afford to use krytox for all of my stabs but the included ones were pretty darn good
Sounds amazing!
Thanks!
this channel will grow like heck that vibe so smoooth
Tysm!
That typing sounds tickles my ears! Love it! Im planning to buy akko keyboard soon.. but i wish i have skills to mod it too. Im that person who cant put back disassembled things lol
Tysm! Hope your build goes well 😁
Great job mate!
Thanks!
Great board indeed: I only did tempest mod & put on CS Jelly Black (stock) & ASA low-profile switch. I didn't even bother with lubing switches or stock stabs (yet) and it has already sounded very creamily good.
Yeah this board is really good for the money
didn't expect it to sound that good, wow
Fr it surprised me too
amazing content dude i've already subscribed :)
Thanks!
the stabs after being fixed up sound amazing omg, i wont even need to buy new ones
Fr the included stabs are kinda goated
amazing vid very well made
Ty!
Underrated creator
Thanks!
This guy is goated at tennis❤
Yoooo ty Conner
This was such an amazing video, it was put together super well and I never lost interest throughout the video. I loved the b-roll and the script, overall it was fantastic.
Side note, did akko reach out to you asking you to review their products or did you reach out to them?
Yo thank you for the kind words! I actually reached out to them first
@@SimulatorTech They were definitely deserved, there's multiple things I could take notes on. How would you start an email reaching out to them without just sounding like you're begging for free stuff?
@@Azerith Well, on their website under the contact tab, there's a sample review request form you can fill out where you insert your email and stuff. You don't necessarily need to sound like you're begging for free stuff (although that's kind of what you're doing), but you can explain why you'd be a good candidate for them to send you samples.
Edit: dunno how i just realized that you're a keyboard youtuber as well lol. At your channel size I would definitely recommend reaching out to them since I was sent a sample at only like 200 subs
@@SimulatorTech Oh, I didn't know they had a form. I'll make sure to check it out later, thanks for all the help! And keep up the amazing videos!
Tysm! You too!
After getting accustomed to using a volume knob, they've become a must have for me when choosing a keyboard. This kit will probably be my next build. I was wondering with the volume knob, does it click down for mute/unmute? If so, can that click be binded to play/pause?
It does click down but I'm not sure what it's for. Unfortunately it's not remappable
As far as I know it's clickable, but instead of muting you get to lower or increase the brightness of the RGB lights. I feel it's a missed opportunity for muting, because you can otherwise do it using the FN key.
I like how it sound and i will build it :) but with diffrent keycaps
Your stop motion > Hipyo’s any day.
Awesome build.
Yooo thank you bro ❤
This is like the quality of a 100k youtuber, remember me when you hit 100k? 🥺
Fr fr
How tf do you only have 800 subs your content is amazing
Yo tysm!
Nice vid mate
Thanks!
If you had to pick between this and the gas67 for a thocky experience, what would it be ?
It depends on what's most important to you in a board. For example they're both different for factors one being a 75% while the other is a 65%. The akko board has better material quality while the gas67 has imo a better custom experience and a better sound profile. Personally I would go with the gas67 because I prefer a smaller board and don't care about the build quality as much but I could really go either way. Hope this helps 👍
does the diy kit include any keycaps, switch and/or keycap pullers? amazing and great video btw!
Thanks! The kit doesn't include switches or keycaps but I'm 90% sure I includes a keycap/switch puller
thanks a ton!
@@SimulatorTech
damn the spy family music! im glad i subbed
Yessir Spy x Family music goes hard
First of all: really good video, especially considering you only had 300 subs at the time! I got an Akko 5075B Plus a while back and the case was bent and the pcb did some weird stuff (keys not registering etc.), did you encounter any of these issues as well since the 5075S is pretty similar afaik, or did I just receive a faulty one?
Weird, I didn't have any of those issues. If the 5075B has a battery in it then I would check to make sure that's not what's causing the case bending since that's kinda dangerous. You could contact Akko and see if they're willing to send you a replacement too
@@SimulatorTech Already sent it back to Amazon (noticed kinda late so only a few days left to send it back and I didn't want to risk anything), but honestly I don't think the battery was the issue, it looked completely fine. Good to know you didn't encounter such an issue though, overall a great board!
Also, I was thinking about maybe starting a keyboard youtube channel as well but I'm kinda hesitant since I can't just buy keyboards to review... Can you get review units with very few or even no subscribers? I figured you might know that
It might take a bit to start getting review units, but I was able to get one from akko at around 200 subs. I would recommend making videos about keyboards you already have until you can get review units
Would you recommend getting this as a first keyboard? Also does the knob come with the keyboard?
I think this would be a great first keyboard! And yeah the knob is included 👍
hi, do you know if the knob on this board is switchable? planning to build my first kb soon >.
You can remove it but idk if it's compatible with other knobs
Wish I saw your video earlier before getting my ik75 yesterday...but oh well
Ik75 is still a solid board so you don't have to feel bad lol
lovely content! also, just a question. did they send u it for freee?
Thanks! They did send it to me for free for review but it was not sponsored or anything like that 👍
this man has quality equal to someone that has like 10,000 subs
Thank you!
The GMMK Pro hehemm really sent me bahahaha
Ur cam is insane
Lol ty! In this video I used my phone (samsung s20) as the camera 😅
Underated
Ty bro
What song did you use for your intro? Sounds so nice
It's Comedy by Gen Hoshino which is the opening song for spy x family
can you synchronize the side rgb with that of the keyboard? I would like to illuminate the whole keyboard with a fixed white for example
Yes you can
do you plan on selling any of your modded keyboards I have been following you for a while and you are insane. I really want to buy a keyboard but have no experience at modding at all.
I haven't yet but I'm getting a couple new boards in soon so I'll likely try to sell a couple 😁
Thanks for the reply really happy to hear that looking forward to buy my first mechanical keyboard from you!
Do these switches have 5 pins or do they have 3? or can 3 switches be used?
They are 3 pin switches. I don't know if this is what you meant but the board supports both 3 and 5 pin switches
Question: Can I use AKKO CS MECHANICAL SWITCH matcha for this keyboard? Thanks!
Yep, any mechanical switch should work with this board
Hey, What is the diffrence between akko 5075b plus vs 5075s ? I know that the b plus has bluetooth but is there another point?
ngl I've never used the 5075b so I can't say, but they seem relatively similar. I do think bluetooth is one of the main differences along with the nicer keycaps that come with the b
oh yea quick question, if you lube the wire of the stabs with krytox and not dielectric grease, will it still be good sound?
Depends if the stabs are good then yeah but if not then no. Fir example you don't lube tx stabs with dielectric grease, you use krytox and visa versa
@@SimulatorTech ty, is it ok to lube these stabs with krytox because you said they are good?
I think they would be better with dielectric grease but if you use a good amount of krytox it will sound alright as well
@@SimulatorTech tyy
Nice content, I'd like to start product reviewing would you mind tellling me how do you get companies to send you products to review
You can email most companies by finding their email on the website but for akko there's a product review sample request under the contact tab in their website
@@SimulatorTech oh thanks for the info
Nice
*noice
I found out that they upgraded the PCB and now it's south, can you confirm?
Hi super good content"!!!!!
Thanks!
If I want to buy this keb then how much it will cost, I mean this keyboard only in video with the mods you have done.
Check the video description ty!
Do yk if it would sound any different with a qmk67?
I haven't tried that board so I can't say
Hello, can you turn off the side rgb strip individually ? Like keep the board lights on but turn the sides ? Thank you
I haven't tried but I'm sure it's possible with the akko software
@@SimulatorTechwould it be too much to ask you to give it a try ? It is literally the only thing keeping me from buying this board and i cant find the answer anywhere.
Unfortunately, I gave the board to a friend, so I can't really test it out. Sorry I can't help
@@SimulatorTech udnerstood, thanks a lot anyway :)
What keyboard do you recommend same layout with akko 5075s without the need of modding it?
THANK YOU
For $100 you could get an epomaker ep75 which sounds pretty great out of the box. It's the same layout, but it doesn't have a knob. The ep75 doesn't really need mods, but the 5075s still has a better potential for good sound
@@SimulatorTech What about the Akko pc75b plus? or should i go with feker ik75pro
I have no experience with either of those two but the pc75b plus looks like a good deal. I tried the pc98b plus which is the bigger brother to the 75, and that was a really solid board out of the box
@@SimulatorTech THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Np 🙃
I put in an Akko request to try and get this Keeb to review I know Ill be turned down but why not try and get a Keeeb to review havent done it in a while but hopefully I can get a keeb and for free :)
Lol I hope they accept
@@SimulatorTech fr
So with this long pole cs pom switch , then we can use cherry keycap right?
Yes
@@SimulatorTech great to hear that or else I have to spend money again🥲
not even 1K subs? here some subs
Ty 😁
is the akko 5075s or the ciy gas67 better?
It depends what you want to prioritize. The 5075s has better build quality and is a 75% with a knob. The gas67 has better sound quality and feel and is a 65% board. Personally I prefer the gas67 but each has pros and cons. Hope this helps!
spacebaaarrr
SPACEBARRRRR
i can put white rgb? Or all time rainbow?
You can make it all white or all rgb
sheeesh
do you think this would sound good with ktt seasalt lemons?
I'm not sure, never tried them before
@@SimulatorTech have you by chance tried any of the ktt switches? they are really cheap and i just want to know if they can pop on this board
I really like ktt kang Whites since they're very deep sounding, but I haven't tried any others as far as I can remember
@@SimulatorTech ok thanks
Almost sounds like when your character builds something in a Lego game.
Kind of lol
I might pull the trigger on this one, does the banana splits have interference on this one or can it be solved by buying different keycaps?
I believe banana splits do not have long pole stems so they will interfere with cherry profile keycaps, but as long as you use keycaps that aren't cherry profile you'll be good.
@@SimulatorTech thanks for the heads up i will keep that in mind thank you for the wonderful review
No problem!
Mine is still being delivered. I heard a lot of things about this keyboard not being mod friendly like taking off the top plate is very hard and taking it off might damage the side RGBs and I'm planning to mod mine. Is there an easy way to take off the top plate by not damaging the side RGBs?
I believe the side led issue was mostly for the prebuilt version and I didn't have any trouble with it since mine was the kit. I could be wrong but by just unclipping the top case using my nails, I had no problems. Good luck with your build!
@@SimulatorTech damn. I bought the pre built. Cause I thought I would save more money if I bought the pre build one. Buying the Switches and Keycaps will go up to my budget☹️
Ah that's alright. I would ask someone who has modded the prebuilt version just to see if they have any tips
@@SimulatorTech thank you for the help♥️
Np glad to help 😁
Really torn if I should get this (not wireless) or the Rakk Pirah (wireless but no f1 keys).
Hmm I guess it depends on what you prefer. I've never tried the pakk pirah but from what I can see online, it'll probably sound worse (though that is subjective), but it does have wireless. In the end its up to what you prioritize
@@SimulatorTech Thank you! How's the Akko 5075 for you so far??? It will be my first hotswappable since the first mechanical keeb I bought wasn't and I'm tired of my blue switches :(
Honestly I really like it and it's one of my top recommendations for a first keyboard. It sounds really good and it's quite affordable
@@SimulatorTech thank you so much! One of my options tbh, planning to pair it up with Akko pink switches. Thank you again!!!
No problem I hope you enjoy your build!
♥♥♥
🥰🥰🥰
It sounds like mr crabs walking lmao
Fr
Can you turn off the side RGB with their software?
Yup!
@@SimulatorTech Thanks.
Soo, jelly black or pom silver?
I haven't used jelly blacks before so I can't say but I really enjoyed the pom silvers
what kind o profile keycaps i can use? maybe i will use with silver v3 pro
They're asa profile
@@SimulatorTech akko 5075s or gmk87? which one has the best quality
I believe the gmk87 has an alu case so I'd opt for that one
This or the Yunzii 75?
This
I know i comment so much... Idk if this is a good thing or bad thing but can you later make a video about a cheap keyboard tutorial like CHRAP 50 dollars maybe 60 you know... Love your channel hope you reach 1k sone
Soon not sone i just cant type
I actually have a video on the ltc nimbleback nb something from a while back which only costs like 45 bucks rn czcams.com/video/b3qMNNw8IcY/video.html
@@SimulatorTech THAT IS IT AHHH THANKS SO MUCH IT SOUND SO GOOD
Np :)
ODD TAXI
Akko series really impresses all around
Fr
@@SimulatorTech Do you know what is the difference between the models? I want to buy a good one because I can only get it once. Akko 5075B plus
Akko 5075s shine
Akko MOD 007 PC
I don't have any experience with the 5075B plus but I would definitely recommend the mod007pc. It's simply amazing for a stock board and it's not too much more than the other options
can you make the rgb only white?
Yup. Akko has their own software that you can use to adjust the rgb
please if i try to download the software it says no keyboard detected@@SimulatorTech
Try unplugging and replacing when the software is open
What's the difference between this and MOD 007
The mod007 is significantly more expensive and has a better build quality
@@SimulatorTech that's weird, where I live the shop is selling them for the same price, I guess I'll go the 007 then!
What??? Yeah go for the mod007 100% 🙃
is this keyboard bluetooth?
I don't think so
This or keychron v1??
I have no experience with the v1 but the general consensus online is that if you want a better typing experience go for the 5075s but if you want qmk and via support go for the v1
@@SimulatorTech akko sounds better based on reviews ive seen
not the v1
Starry night version has been out of stock for like a month 😢
Yeah I requested that one but they sent me white instead lmao
@@SimulatorTech I might just get blue ash at this point, I just don't know how it's gonna look with the blue samurai keycaps I got.
Dang blue samurai would definitely look good on Starry Night but I don't think it would look bad on the blue ash either
3:52 THE FINGER???
Lmao not me and my weak fingers 😭
Is it a secure page?
Wat?
@@SimulatorTech akko page web
Ohhh yeah it's safe as far as I know
I want to get this prebuilt one(wine red) but as I am a coder ⌨ + casul gamer was thinking of wine white.
In the same time, I want to make it thock.(so linear)
Later, I will sell the stock switch upgrade to something better like oil king (🤞). Maybe keycaps later if possible..
As a newb 🙃 and not into modding(lubing switch, stabs, foam, tape), isit possible to achieve more towards thock with this one??
It has gascket Mount with all those layers.
P.S: This is more of expensive board I can afford in my country & Need 7️⃣5️⃣ layout.
-RGB/KNOB has lowest Priority
Actually thock is a sound signature that can be achieved using both linear and tactile switches. If you're not planning to mod this keyboard don't go for it since it's very high pitched stock.
@@SimulatorTech
The best things I can do is replace the Aluminum plate.
Change the switch or keycaps later on.
Any other board suggestion on in the range of 90-100$??
I have looked at 3080B, PC75B(stocked out due to popularity)
Epomaker TH80.
I don't have a lot of experience with this price range and form factor so I would suggest looking online more to see.
@@SimulatorTech Thanks!
bro 154 dollar is budget????
but sill good lol
btw a new sub:))
Haha thanks for the sub! 154 is a lot of money but in the keyboard hobby it's reasonably cheap
@@SimulatorTech btw how to make sure the new keyboard sounds not too bad?I bought a keyboard and custom it but the shift button sounds bad:(
Well, if it sounds bad due to rattle then you could look up how to lube keyboard stabilizers. If it sounds scratchy then maybe try different switches. Beyond that it could just be the acoustics of your board. Hope this help 👍
Did u sign up to be a reviewer? Wherw
I did request this from akko. If you're interested in recieving free review samples just go to their website and there's a form you can fill out in the contact section.
have you actually tried removing the top case? That part is crazy difficult. This review would be incomplete without showing that, in my view.
Oh I didn't show it because nowadays every other budget keyboard uses a clip on top case so this is kind of standard at this point. Also this one wasnt very difficult either. I'll def show it in the future tho
@@SimulatorTech oh i see. Apreciate the reply! Thanks!!
yoooooo

I don’t know personally I think that the packaging on the Keycaps are a waste, with the extra plastics. Although I will say it’s nice stays in place.
It is true it's wasteful, but I'm not throwing it away since I can use it for storage.
@@SimulatorTech good on you then, I usually have a cardboard box from other packages and plastic bags labeled.
heyyy
Heyyyyyy
i have over 500 subs and i dont understand how u got sent a keyboard from akko with 300 subs(i mean this in a good way btw😂)
Haha thanks! My best guess is my content revolves primarily around keyboards, but your channel has a conglomeration of different topics. Just a guess tho lol
Changed my mind it is too expensive 😂
Bruh
cherry profile keycaps are ugly and dont sound good anyways
