The last part just made me cry. Two beautiful souls meet and despite the physical difference, you both connect and she offers you some kind of a home for a few hours, and you offer your presence. This is so beautiful. Keep your journey going.
I got a little teary eyed when you were invited to that lady's home. It makes me very happy to see how your people try to take care of each other. Random kindness and home cooked meals. What a place
That sweet cat lady woman was so kind! What a generous offer to you. There are good people around. I think people are interested in your story once they start talking to you. Sorry about you wet pants!
I lived homeless for about 6 months. I related very much to this. Waking up every time I heard a siren, ready to grab and run when I just wanted sleep. It’s so sad that it’s illegal and unwelcome to simply exist. We’re just animals, just living.
When I was living in Tokyo, I used to go hiking up the many mountainous areas nearby the city. One time I got lost as I finished my descent from the top and ended up in a completely new area. I didn't know where I was and nearby station was quite far. But this older Japanese couple traveling in their farmer's kei truck decided to pick me up and drive me to the closest station. I don't think I would do that in the US to be honest. Japan is relatively safe to get picked up by strangers.
This video popped up in my feed tonight and I immediately watched all your others! I’m spreading as much word as I can man keep it up! Thanks for the adventures!
The kindness of strangers, there's hope yet! When I visited Japan (fuji), I needed to buy medicine for my gf at the time. The local pharmacy was cash only, but the kind old owner drove me all the way to the closest ATM and back. I spoke no Japanese and him no English, but it left such a good impression on me. They even refused to accept my tip after buying the medicine. Lovely people and country!
i felt the cold when you head a cold shower with that cold temperature you're very breve 👏👏👏just discovered your channel today and subscribe 👍 your English is great thanks for this great video I'm your follower from Türkiye 🇹🇷🇯🇵
If you still were a salaryman, I think that type of life would not allow for this type of experiences, although your situation is not the best, at the end of the day you always have something to think about and reflect on and also will give you lots of memories, from Portugal I wish you the best of luck.
I am a social worker and work with homeless in California. You need to give some of our homeless people a master class on doing this! I can only do so much!
It's really interesting seeing the way of life and parts unseen in Japan that you normally don't see on CZcams. New subscriber and hoping to help support you and your channel
I’m American but my mother is in her 70’s and I’m to far to help most of the time. She found a very nice young man in your situation who stays in her extra room in exchange for rent he helps her out and she feels safer with a man present. He’s been there nearly a year and he’s like family now.
Meeting new people that are so hospitable to you while you travel it's just cool. Japan has always been like that even in the Japanese movies that take place in the past.
Problem with cold weather is that clothes don't dry. When I washed my only denim jeans at a hotel & it wouldn't dry overnight in 2009, I used the hotel's ironing board & iron, & forced the drying process to 15 minutes in the morning. It was wearable.///Shower when homeless is difficult unless there is a public toilet with a (clean) bidet hose sprayer. U can try that (if there's public toilet in the rural areas?). Squat down to use the bidet sprayer. It's great if the spray is strong & water amount is good. Better & faster than a hose.//At least it is safe in Japan to be homeless like what you are doing. No police to disturb you. No people bothering you. Difficult in Singapore.
You're very blessed to meet so many pleasant and kind random strangers who helped you in one way or another! 👍🏻👍🏻 Have I told you that your videos are interesting yet? It's refreshing to watch your interactions with the locals 👍🏻👍🏻 Another unsolicited suggestion - give us the locations/addresses of these unknown local gems in the video or the description in all your future videos pleaseeeee! I like your videos because they introduce me to places that are not that touristy Keep up the good work, and set up the Patreon or PayPal account soon and update us, I think there will be some subscribers who will be willing to subscribe or send some money gift as an appreciation for your interesting videos
I absolutely love these videos. Nomad life is very popular in the US because of expenses. Many who don’t have warm clothes will stay in warm places during spring or winter. You might be able to do something similar like staying in Kyushu Island for the cold months. I pray for your health. Thank you for your videos 🙏🏼
What's really crazy to think about is comparing an experience of being homeless in Japan vs say the USA. People in Japan on average seem so kind and while the rules may be strict for you some places it seems from these videos that you remain quite safe, same defintely can not be said for most other western nations.
Omg! That’s too cold! Hopefully you don’t need to shower in cold water too often. But it’s nice to see that you always find a way to get a shower. That was so sweet of the old lady driving you to see cherry blossoms and inviting you to her house…I’m hopeful you will find a place or someone that will invite you to stay with them more often. Lucky us we get to see very nice people helping you. Take care!
I wish you were already monetized. I'd donate to you. Also for those of us in the US could you explain the tori gate and the paper and the photo and why they do that and what it means. We don't generally have any idea. Ive been to Japan but I dont really know what that stuff is or means. Thank you.
My husband and I are living in a small town in one of the most abundant places on the planet. Even here all over our state and country are countless homeless peoples. About 11 years ago I found myself homeless and living in my car for 9 months. It was not easy. I get the shower predicament and the feeling of not being safe at times. It is a world wide phenomenon that anyone can find themselves in. No judging from this lady. Best to you on your journey.
hey bro, a cold shower is very good for you, you will only catch a cold if you get really cold, then hot, and then cold and then hot again. being cold wont make you sick =) but dont become cold -> hot -> cold again. :) pro tip. taking a very cold shower is VERY beneficial for your health.
I Love your channel. Have you thought of getting a patreon or a P.O. Box so maybe people can send you stuff? I have questions like where did you learn to speak english?
damn, im from germany and know some homeless people who havent showered in a year, but i guess that comes with the drugs since they just start negleting themselves, the whole subway smells like shit whenever they enter. no disrespect though, im battling a heavy addiction myself. ❤ all love to the homeless
If someone, woman or man, where I live asked if I wanted to go with them to anything and I didn't know them? I'd be suspicious and probably wouldn't go with them. But I've been to Tokyo (I was in the Navy in Tokyo a couple times in the late 70s) and perfect strangers, speaking no English would invite you to their home, introduce you to their family, feed you dinner and have you stay the night making sure you got up early enough in the morning to get back to the ship. I'd do that in Japan without any worry but NEVER in the US. The only time it was cool in the US to do that was over the holidays families would have service men stay for Christmas or Thanksgiving, stuff like that. If someone from the ship didn't get back to the ship? Because they know where every serviceman went with a host family. Guess who comes looking for them?
@@NomadPush1 pair of pants looks rough. I like the spandex thermal wear. I think theyre surprisingly warmer, dries fast and pack small and light. Even the stretchy T-shirt material has me not wanting to wear a cotton t shirt now. Its lighter and cooler in the summer. No BS if you try them you'd understand.
There seem to be a lot of situations in your homelessness that are more safe for a big dude like you than it would be for a small woman. Traveling alone, walking in the dark in an unfamiliar place, following strangers into their cars and homes, etc. Not a criticism- just an observation. Thanks for sharing this side of your life.

You said it perfectly! I totally agree.

That is true!!!
I've had strangers pick me up, and I've picked up strangers in the US. I agree it's probably not the safest but most likely, nothing would happen.
