I hope he is still wrenching. Kids got the right attitude and patience. Working on cars/trucks/equipment etc is a good living right now. He could be running a shop or own his own by the time he’s in his late 20s early 30s
Nice overview. Well thought out. Missed a few details, though. I found the transmission lines to be hard to get to and difficult. The upper transmission-to-engine block bolts were very difficult to get to. It would be nice to have heard if the starter can stay or must be removed. Apparently you were not aware that the transmission shift linkage can be disconnected from the metal arm without tools - it is snapped on and will disconnect if you push/hit the plastic end horizontally towards the tranny.
Do not remove the starter do not remove the intake box there is no reason for that do not mess with the exhaust the bolts will break and you will be stuck doing a bunch of extra work you don't have to do the transmission will come down and out out moving exhaust components
2002 and up you do not have to remove the starter theres a hole for a screwdriver to fit in and the ratchet or breaker to get the three torque nuts the starter bolts do not go through the trans either the are on the motor the motor and or trans can be removed without touching the starter but you do gotta remove the wires from the starter
I can tell you, you dont have to take the starter out out the exhaust and the shift linkage is best to disconnect from the shaft not unbolt it so all that screwing around for no reason
Like that Paul you don't waste time and to the point. Great job
Great 3 minute explanation with demonstrations!
Young man, this excellent 👌. You should be making more videos. Don't give up.

Yeah there is all that hot air is got to go somewhere?....
You don't have to remove the starter from a 2005 TrailBlazer. It's a pain in the ass and you have access holes in the bottom of the bellhousing.
You’re doing way more work than what’s needed half the stuff you took off was useless and no need

I do need help i have 2004 Buick rainier do you kno any ways on how to replace the engine in them
I could watch it after he called the yoke spline a soldier joint.
And replace the transmission cooler lines while you have it down. Trust me.
Or just flush them really well
@@youngtragedy3281 not about what’s in it I’m talking about corrosion. They get eaten up bad.
@@fsu3784 well yeah. but I wouldn't replace them unless they are damaged.
Good little vid. Thnx
I'm guessing not or there should have been more steps
We cant here
Great stuff! I’m about to r&r a 4l sh**y E from an 04 envoy. Those transmissions are trash
Can this be done for a gmc envoy 04
Good video
Nice video. I wish I could bring my TB to you and let you fix mines it just started slipping 3rd ⚙️. SMH need it fix like now
Will an 03 transmission fit in an 04
Your 3 minutes is up
Good vid 👍🏼 not like others talk so much 💩 n a 25/30min vid.
first i bet you figured out you don't have to take out the starter
Hey is this one 4wd?
Considering ive done this many times this isnt that great of a video
What is a better way?
