We take a second look at the Pilot Assist automated driving aid, to uncover some "Hidden Features". - Auta a dopravní prostředky
You do not need to hit the gas paddle to redrive the car after staying longer time on the traffic. You can also push the redrive button on the steeringwheel to activate your ACC again and he will move automatically. Greats from a Volvo Car Belgium employee
Thank you
Thanks again for the useful info...!! Keep up the good work.
My pleasure, and thanks for watching :D
Great tips. Thanks. I huge to receive my xc to use the same feature in the coming Belgian dark rainy September days.
It's enough to just have contact with the steering wheel. You don't need to hold it. I usually rest my thumb on the steering wheel and the car drives itself for hours.
My dad keeps touching the steering every 5 secs, he needs to know the point of self-driving, it's so annyoing
🤔 Dark day in rainy Oslo. Greetings from bright 56°C day in Saudi Arabia 😆
I just bought a XC60 in Colombia. Here in traffic motorbikes cut you off a lot. Will it brake in that case?
Very helpful, thanks a lot
It wasn't telling you to put your hands on the wheel because you didnt have pilot assist turned on 😂 you were in adaptive cruise control the whole time not pilot assist
Elliott Reynolds I never said it was telling me to put my hands on the wheels because I didn’t have it turned on. Obviously it was turned on and it was telling me to put my hands on the wheel. This is pilot assist 1, so it both looks and works differently that Pilot assist 2.
@@KrisRifa You should watch your own video again..
@@KrisRifa pilot assist comes up with a green steering wheel you don’t have that. Pilot assist works at any speed the adaptive cruise control works.
@@KrisRifa and you are under 20kmh with adaptive cruise control the car does not need you to touch the wheel
You are completely wrong. The car he is driving has pilot assist generation 1 which is also called queue assist and only works up to 50km/h.
Hey I loved your in depth interior review of your xc90. Can you do an in depth interior quality review of the new Audi Q7 soon??
Thanks! Have a bunch of XC90 videos in the making the next few months, but I'll see what I can do!
How to activate the pilot assist?
'Completely and totally safe'... Just not legal. People using their phones in autonomous driving are still breaking the law currently.
Well, that depends on what country you live in. I don' recommend breaking the law :)
awcoslo.wildapricot.org/driving-in-norway Well in Norway it's Illegal lol..
It works in Indian roads too. Thanks to Volvo made it available at India. It works excellent. And this video showing only ACC not auto pilot .. auto pilot shows green steering wheel icon.
hi, great video thanks. can you tell me what year and trim level xc90 this is? thanks.
Thanks mate! This is a 2016 Volvo XC90 D4 AWD Inscription :)
How do you turn off the "hands on wheel" prompt the car give you?
Turn off cruise control.
The pilot assist Without touching The steeringwheel is up to 50 km/h i think.
Oliver Lasch FYI. I know it is stated that it is good up to 80 mph here in the USA. Well. As a new owner of an S90. I was traveling from Orlando back to Miami on the Florida turnpike with the Pilot Assist on and set at 94mph. It did not disengage at all. Yes I needed to put in "Driver Input" which I have come to realize is just resting a hand on the wheel. I didn't know it had it when the wife chose the car. Too cool.
thanks for showing us this feature
Except for - this is not the Pilot Assist on the video. This dude is wrong - he shows Cruise Control and thinks this is PA.
Traffic assist no hidden 😂😂
У меня руль нарисован зелёный когда он сам рулит
you were not on pilot assist.
Yes I was, this was Pilot Assist 1 - which is different from Pilot Assist 2.
I see. I have a 2018 Volvo...
If you are talking abut the Volvo why are you bloing it
The autonomous driving is only available in 2017 model, not 2016. I work with Volvo in the U.S.A.
Pilot assist has been available on all years of the new XC90. In 2015 and 2016 the system only works up to 50kph/30mph, but on the 2017 model they upgraded it to work up to 130kph/80mph.
there will be a software update that will allow the 2016 ones to be able to pilot assist up to 130 km/h
I drive the 2016 model at the moment. It does work up to 130 km/h
@@StournPL are you Polish? I have some questions about pilot assist gen 1? Will you help?
@@boban61 sure. I can give it a try
This is not demonstrating pilot assist. This is adaptive cruise control.
this is first gen pilot assist.
@@KrisRifa OK thanks for clarifying, maybe update the title?

Can you up the top speed for pilot assist??
