You do not need to hit the gas paddle to redrive the car after staying longer time on the traffic. You can also push the redrive button on the steeringwheel to activate your ACC again and he will move automatically. Greats from a Volvo Car Belgium employee

It's enough to just have contact with the steering wheel. You don't need to hold it. I usually rest my thumb on the steering wheel and the car drives itself for hours.

It wasn't telling you to put your hands on the wheel because you didnt have pilot assist turned on 😂 you were in adaptive cruise control the whole time not pilot assist

Elliott Reynolds I never said it was telling me to put my hands on the wheels because I didn’t have it turned on. Obviously it was turned on and it was telling me to put my hands on the wheel. This is pilot assist 1, so it both looks and works differently that Pilot assist 2.

Oliver Lasch FYI. I know it is stated that it is good up to 80 mph here in the USA. Well. As a new owner of an S90. I was traveling from Orlando back to Miami on the Florida turnpike with the Pilot Assist on and set at 94mph. It did not disengage at all. Yes I needed to put in "Driver Input" which I have come to realize is just resting a hand on the wheel. I didn't know it had it when the wife chose the car. Too cool.
