I just recently heard about junk journaling, with much investigating what it all is about, I discovered you!!! You have inspired me beyond words! I now have a solution to keepsaking ALL (or most) of my granddaughter's schoolwork (toddler to 8 years old) schoolwork, love notes, drawings, painting etc etc. using all your wonderful ideas! Then I'm excited to start creating journals as gifts. The idea of junk journaling will encompass all of the hobbies I love to create and build upon. Thank you soooooo much!!

I've been searching for videos on making large junk journals and yours has me hooked I feel like I can make this with less stress than other videos I have seen. I'm a newbie to junk journaling. Thank you your teaching, I really do appreciate you. Blessings.

I love this whole process, so much so that I will be making a tome myself! As you say, we all learn from each other and that’s why I follow so many channels 😊. One thing I do when using modelling paste and then wanting to gild/paint over, I simply replace, or reposition the stencil over the dry modelling paste and then paint or gild over, very carefully of course but I don’t have to worry about being too precise because the stencil is protecting my image somewhat...if this makes sense? 😊

Then I will paint over that to give it a textured look. Here is the Magna-tac description from Beacon: Permanent adhesive , Fast bond for most fabrics, leather, felts, trims and more , Ideal for crafts & hobbies, home decor and quick repairs , Crystal clear, quick drying and washable. Acid freeClear, fast drying, permanent & washable for many household & hobby applications. • Bonds a wide variety of materials including lace, felt, fabrics, feathers, wood, trims, canvas, ribbons, leather, suede, & much more. • Prevents fabrics from fraying and is ideal for seams, hems, drapes, cushions, upholstery, dried floral arrangements, lampshades, bridal veils & accessories, picture frames, hats, etc. • Original formula since 1956 won't stain or soak into most fabrics & is great for creating costumes, dolls, stuffed toys as well as general household repairs.

I got mine from Amazon. I couldn't find them in my local stores, and other fabric options were just too expensive. The package I bought online will make quite a few covers.

I found them in the kitchen department near the utensils on the bottom shelf in packs of 5 or ten. They are called flour sack towels. Its possible they are a seasonal item?

Hi Anna, you can find the tree stencil in my Amazon Store main link: My Favorite Products and Tools: Amazon Affiliate
Click here to see all my items with pictures in my Amazon Store!: www.amazon.com/shop/thepaperoutpost
But here is the direct link to the tree stencil :) www.amazon.com/dp/B01FG34BA0/?ref=exp_thepaperoutpost_dp_vv_d
The paste wax I cannot locate anymore as I think this company stopped making it but here is an alternative: www.amazon.com/dp/B06VTT6CSM/?ref=exp_thepaperoutpost_dp_vv_d
Note the inside cover with the trees was colored with this ink pad and the tree stencil: www.amazon.com/dp/B0016287JW/?ref=exp_thepaperoutpost_dp_vv_d

Hi Cindy, are you asking about the spine fabric? It is a flour sac tea towel that comes in 10 packs at Walmart in the kitchen section. It is white cotton. I dyed these pieces using an ecodyeing process.

Hi Pat, I believe they do not make this brand anymore. Here are a few options of gilding paste or gilding wax that also will work. :)

Pat Henley she used the basic brand of modeling paste but any brand would work. Find in art dept of your craft store, not in the craft section.
