ZZ Top- I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide (lyrics)

- Well I was rollin' down the road in some cold blue steel,
I had a bluesman in the back, and a beautician at the wheel.
We're going downtown in the middle of the night
We was laughing and I'm jokin' and we feelin' alright.
Oh I'm bad, I'm nationwide.
Yes I'm bad, I'm nationwide.
Easin' down the highway in a new Cadillac,
I had a fine fox in front, I had three more in the back.
They sportin' short dresses, wearin' spike-heeled shoes,
They smokin' Lucky Strikes, wearing nylon too.
Welcome back, we're nationwide.
Yeah we bad, we're nationwide.
Well I was movin' down the road in my V-8 Ford,
I had a shine on my boots, I had my sideburns lowered.
With my New York brim and my gold tooth displayed,
Nobody give me trouble cause they know I got it made.
I'm bad, I'm nationwide.
Girl I'm bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, I'm nationwide. - Hudba

Rest in Peace Dusty
tightest blues trio that consistently put out good shit ...
That "little ole band from Texas" 1 of the greatest 3 man bands ever.
The Bad!!!!! ZZ Top!!!! RIP D. H. Seen them in Concert!! Early 70's. They Rocked!!!!!!! Weed being passed around!!!!! Yeah!!!!! Awesome Era!!!! Im 70 still Rock n Roll!!!!!!!
Me too. 71 here. Rock & roll forever!! 🎸 🥁 🎶
@@joaniegoddard1653 That's Right!!!! Forever!!! Rock n Roll!!!!!!
I remember back in the day when I went to these shows with a zzz. Me and my friends would roll it up and start passing them around. Believe it or not. We did this at the denver coliseum back in the early to mid seventies. I sure wish I could back. For those who don’t believe me I wish if you are old enough to go back in time. On second thought these kids need to learn how to live life to its fullest. Burning hating that’s not fun. You would know if only you young folks had been there.
60 here!!! Long live Rock and Roll!!!!
Sad day. RIP Amigo.
Just saw them last night here in Tyler, TX. AMAAAAAAZING!! At the end, the played Dusty singing “Tush”, not a dry eye in the house! BEST CONCERT EVER!
Sounds like an amazing and emotional show…
Saw them live and they are by far the 3 badess dudes to ever take a stage. Been a fan since about 77 or 79 they rock. Rip Dusty.
RIP Dusty. I was 16 when I first saw ZZ Top 1980. Thank you.
This is one of their best songs ! What great musicianship...high cool factor!
Agreed!!
And by far the coolest song ever written, and still b kickin it,coming local Charleston WV in Sept
Sad about Dusty 😢
ZZ Top the greatest. Billy and Frank keep playing and keep Dusty's memory alive.
Love Billy's guitar work, and Dusty's bass, Frank brings it all together. Can't beat ZZ Top .
Individually they would have been the it in any band but we got lucky to have all three together to mesh their individual talents and make something that will last the test of time. Be Beethoven Bach Prince boom ZZ top baby!!!!!!!
My girlfriend Stacia Spahni Bonnie rottens mother has Road in Frank beard Ferrari
@@stephenmartin1402 : Couldn't've said it better myself.

Wow. One of the greatest rock and roll songs ever recorded.
A fun one.
This might be my favorite ZZTop song ever. Cheap Sunglasses is right there, too. This song is so strong with the groove and the greasy soloing. Lyrics are strong....so badass.
You damn right 😁
Mine too. Easily their best.
It reminds me of Hot Tuna.
OMG love that use of the word greasy to describe the solos.
@@IndyDefense You like making people Stink! My name is Lewis Robert Burton Jr!
R.I.P. Dusty 😔 thank you for so many great memories.
🍻
What a rock solid band. Three guys who can fill a hall with sound. Some of Billy's licks arent technically complicated but it is near impossible to play them the way he does. Masterful work.
Same 3 guys,same 3 chords.
@@tippimail1 that's funny. Billy Gibbons is one of the greatest players to ever touch a guitar.
@@rticle15 I can't take credit for it-Billy said that in an interview.
I just realized it was a fuzz pedal used to get the gritty tone on this bad boy!
@@rticle15three dudes who obviously loved to be together, create some crazy blues songs and grow big big beards lol

@@johnland1528 I grew up with ZZ Top and am the same age as them. 73 ish. I used to fly them around in the late 70’s. What a kick that was! Always got a backstage pass from them and an invite to the party after the concerts. Dusty would always crawl up in the cockpit with me. Got to know him well!
Same 😉👊

Frank beard is the most under appreciated drummer of all time, he is badass
Still one of the best live acts I’ve ever seen. Simply put they were nothing short of amazing.
Always so ahead of the times and innovative isnt even enough to describe them.
All you brainwashed MTV goons should thank ZZ Top for helping them build that channel.
With the pin up girl videos they put out. 3 back to back to back classics. That alone helped put MTV on the map back then.
May the music live on forever
17 in 1977 ZZ was a fav band right up there with Zep, who, Floyd, stones, Aerosmith, so many great songs from the boys like this one.
Just gotta get my two cents in. This band was great in many ways and you either get "it" or never will. They were consummate musicians, could write songs and sing...yeah all of that. But it was their ability to deliver it in such a powerful and unique way. I've often thought that to really appreciate their music, you had to grow up in the Southwest because in a way, ZZ Top is epitome of RRnR...Redneck Rock 'n Roll. There is an attitude, a swagger that comes thru in their music. But underneath it all, it was their ability to use classic delta blues licks and transform it into their brand of music. I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide is prime example. Unbelievably powerful music.
The coolest band in rock history
I met Dusty once at his backwoods cabin, very cool guy
This song is a classic as well as a masterpiece, love this band.
Rest in peace dusty hill and I just know that you are in heaven with juses.

Things just. Turned out that way 🌠I just wanna thank you!
I was about eight or nine when I saw a giant ZZ Top poster at my uncle's house. It was the one where all three of them are standing in front of the Eliminator wearing those long coates. For some reason I was mesmerized....I kept staring at that poster for entire summer. Few years later I start getting interested in music and I finnaly discovered them. I've been a huge fan ever since....I remember thinking how cool it's gonna be when I can finnaly grow epic beard on my own.....I am 38 years old now, still a huge fan with an epic beard on my own.
