  • Nigel Farage has won in Clacton, with the Reform UK leader declaring his party is 'coming for Labour'.
The Reform UK leader was projected to claim victory in the coastal town, which is traditionally a Tory stronghold, ahead of polling day.
Farage received 21,225 votes, leaving him with a majority of 8,405.
The result was announced just before 3:30am, with Conservative candidate Giles Watling losing his seat to Mr Farage in what's been described as a 'landslide victory'.
It's the party leader's eighth attempt to become an MP, having previously run in two by-elections and five general elections as a UKIP candidate before leading Reform UK.
LBC's Britain Decides panel discuss and analyse the implications of the events so far.

The way Labour and the Lib Dems marshalled their voting was superb and Carol Vorderman also fronted a massive campaign to vote tactically. While it didn't fully succeed in it's goals Labour and Lib Dems pretty much destroyed the Tory Party. Reform can complain about the massive share of the vote they had that didn't convert to seats but, however, The Lib dems historically can complain too. Pretty much what Labour and Lib dems did was not compete against each other in areas that one was more likely to win over the other. The number of seats that moved from labour to Lib Dem or vice versa this election was extremely low. That was not by chance. The result of that is the share of voting for either party was quite stagnant....but it was more concentrated and more effective.
