OLD LEATHER SMITH here, your Leather work is excellent Sir, Rivet Head idea great, one step further, carve a design in the tool so U can have a design in your rivet head, GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃

Now I know what 2 tools I have. They're really old rivet setting bars.

When the old telephone wires come down here in S/W Mt, I got some I can use now. In fact, when I had to move I left about 50 lbs of 1/8 " behind. I still have about 35', ~(:-})

Greatly interested in the homemade rivet set uve show. Im planning on doing one by myself and would appreciate further info about that. Thx a lot in advance.

The one I made is a piece of half inch bar stock with a 3/16 hole drilled over an inch deep in the center

I have never before seen anybody dome the head of the rivet. What a great idea.Have you tried swaging the head before using the rivet? Maybe a 9/64 hole in a 1" piece of key steel or the like. All the best

This could cause the rivet to cut the surface of the leather as the washer is being tightened and flared. But worth a try

What border stamp is that you used on your gun belt? I really like it. I think it looks sharp.
