No, you are allowed to 'cheat' by the rules, so it's not cheating.
Because you are not a cheater, he falsely accused you (which is cheating). Maybe, if you press space when he accuses you, you can get the good ending
@@Joco999 Yeah, but you're still cheating. The rules say it very well. You may cheat when the troll cheats. The objective of the troll is to turn you into a cheater, that's the reason he allows you to cheat in response.
Btw you do get the good ending if you only use valid moves.

The Bishop is op and worth much more than the rook, they can assassinate unguarded pieces from out of town

Yeah, pretty sure "jumping" means it doesn't "touch" that object. So horses, towers, bishops, and queens can ignore them during their movement. Pieces still have to do their normal movement, so if a piece can't make the jump, then they can't jump it.
this game has one of those concepts that i think about and wonder how it took this long for this concept to be executed
its actually genius and the execution is godlike

To get other endings:
Never cheat for good ending
Catch cheating, wait for a goose to appear and put the black king on the goose for the goose ending.
Catch cheating and try to put white and black pawns at the final row to ascend a total of 8 pawns for ascension ending.

Some of these moves are probably just to extend the video. Like clear blunders that you don't have to think much about to avoid. Sometimes his play-style reminds me of those hero wars ads. He highlights some good games but sometimes I just need to stop watching...

That was my first experience with the game, too. I won but the troll cheated constantly all throughout the game and I had no idea if he could actually cheat or not.

My assumption is that if you can somehow beat the troll without breaking his own rules (without cheating) you break the cycle and cross the bridge. Given how incredibly hard not cheating would be, it has to be a true ending, right?
Your love of taking logic puzzles and twisting them on their head makes me think about Variant Sudokus, Logic Masters Deutschland has so many excellent ones.

There are four endings. One cheating, one not cheating, and the other two are secrets.
Can your revenge cheat break multiple rules?
If so, move the opponent's tower (break the rule you can't move opponent's piece) to capture their horse guy (tower capturing own piece is legal) on the opposite end (break the rule only horse guy can jump over pieces) then fuse two towers into a castle (legal) to really cripple their board
In case anyone is curious, this not only works, but unlocks the "triple-kill" achievement.

For you to get the real ending you have to beat it without cheating.
Olexa kept on forgetting the troll rules and just uses normal chess rules....i can't count on how many times I've shouted for his pawn to just eat pieces on their (+)sides
and how passive he is, this just stressed me out 😂

I watch a couple minutes of this video yesterday then stopped so I could buy the game myself and go through the rest of the discovery blind. Now I’m back to laugh at someone else discovering the crazy rules.

What in the world made you think that? The rule is about the queen not cheating on her marriage by taking the other king.
this could be a sick game but to much reading. Needs a better learning curve or design :D
