I guess they think they need to make some super ridiculous beyond all reason plot to sell their game. I’d back a game line you described, give the characters stories of their own, make your own adventure type situation that just revolves around building a pack and town. Stardew valley meets werewolves would even work for me!

They should make a full on WoD open world RPG where you choose what you are, hunter, werewolf, vampire or mage etc, then give you goals based on that character type.

Kinda dumb that we end uo fighting mostly other werewolf and not mages, wraiths, vampires or agents of the Wyrm/wyld
We do fight agents of the wyrm basically they're normal enemies which if you kill them once they resurrect and mutate and become disfigured and stuff with giant pulsing claw arms it's nasty
None of those would make good opponents. Conflict between Garous and Mages either end up with the Wolves getting the drop on the Mages and insta-killing them or vice-versa. Wraiths? What the fuck would Werewolves ever do with Wraiths? They probably barely know each other exist. Vampires are better, but even so it ranges from a bunch of easily slaughtered young Vampires or an Elder Vampire that rips you apart with no effort on their part. And hell, even a relatively young Vampire could just mindrape the player, which wouldn't be fun at all.
And we did fight Agents of the Wyrm. Literally, every enemy you fight in this game is an agent of the Wyrm.
Also, Werewolves are on the _side_ of the Wyld. Its the one part of the Triad that they don't hate.

@@unclefiend2138 When I used to play the tabletop Werewolf Apocalypse, we would basically fight Wyrm monsters and Vampire. The peak of our game we fought a Nexus, where our pack alpha died. It was a great run, we played for 2 years or 3. We also would do crossovers with other players that had Angels, Mages and Vamp characters as well. For me World of Darkness even if with broken system that imo pended heavily on Werewolf's side as being the most OP after a well skilled Mage Player, it was one of the best tabletop games to play with different people with totally different characters backgrounds and history.
I almost believed that I was watching a match of Bloody Roar. Can't believe this is releasing in 2021.
That was just sad for what happened to Cahal's daughter.

I'm seriously disappointed. Werewolf's do not belong in "action" games. They are horror characters. They make this Werewolf out to be like Wolverine with fur.

If they had followed Vampire the Masquereade Bloodlines PC game recipe, this could have been a great game to expand the World of Darkness world.

80% of enemy bosses are same werewolves, without any special abilities or features.... Kind of boring, mediocre and predictable.
However the fighting system looks not bad at all.
They are werewolves but everyone has his own moveset and features. Predictable? Maybe but you know ... A werewolf fight similar to another werewolf as a dragon fight similar to another dragon etc... Mediocre for what? The story is about werewolves...
The fighting system is funny. Against bosses too. I had a lot of fun fighting bosses at hard difficulty. I died several times with certain bosses.
As a nerd I think allot of them are black spiral evil kind. but yea same deal and I think some of the ones were not evil the eyepatch and the large wolf one. eye patch guy after hero kills the large wolf after killing the spiral bad werewolf "oh woops you killed her well, lets go on no time"
That might be why they are on the usually losing side in spite of the super powers.

The last boss is not that big seem to blur in with all the mutants, then at the end it goes to a cutscene where he is just scared and not mutated at all. As if he never was transformed to begin with but its all in mind or on spirt realm.
The game though has allot of stuff that seems to be true to what lore I know, like having multiple transformation modes (because why not) and the protecting the earth thing and taking a trip to the umbra dimension. They even did the nature sprit thing as looking like a freaky tree god with a circular branch head to keep in with the setting.

Sadly, Mage's True Magick system is far too freeform for video games and their limitations; the Arts, Bunks and Cantrips of Changeling aren't much easier to work with. So those two WoD games will probably never be introduced in the form of video games.
...which is too bad. Watching a rogue Verbena tear her way through a Progenitor lab and turn the Technocracy's gene-spliced creations against them would be too cool for words.

This takes place in the same universe as Vampires: The Masquerade which is the World of Darkness universe, and Werewolves are pretty much WAY stronger than Vampires, so they wouldn't even be a challenge, nor a worthy boss anyways.

@Bawalchand I watched the opening chapter entirely and I don't think I'll like the game. It expected me to be invested into his wife way too early when all I knew at the time is they're Werewolves and want to take down [insert generic big company here]. I'm not dissing you if you like it but I don't think this game is that good. Also the combat looks extremely repetitive.

Heres the gist of it: the evil corporation Endron is being controlled by an extension of an all-powerful chaotic entity known as the Wyrm, who stands in direct opposition to the ruling goddess of the werewolves, Gaia, and the spirit of humanity, the Weaver. The Werewolves, also called Kinfolk, have been charged by Gaia with the responsibility of protecting humanity, the planet, and Gaia herself from the depredations of the Wyrm at any cost, whilst also balancing out the unchecked creative power of the Weaver, which was the Wyrms original purpose before it went rogue and decided that it wanted to destroy _everything._ The “Apocalypse” part of the name is indicative of how successful the Kinfolk have been at their job, which is to say, not that much. The Weaver is causing humanity to spread out of control, advancing too quickly for the Kinfolk to check them. The Wyrm is extending more and more of its influence across the planet in preparation for the eventual destruction of the world, and the Kinfolk as a species are on the verge of extinction. It’s all summed up rather succinctly in the tabletops tag line.

They got the eyepatch idea from the iconic Warewolf 80s series with John J York and Chuck Connors. It was Conners the evil wolf with the patch.

@@franklopez7019 I did enjoy the game but the knoweldge that there is a lot of staff missing, like the original scedule of the game that contained, spirit quests, wendigo area, ACTUAL SPIRIT GIFTS, haunts me till today. I still crave for an original werewolf the apocalypse game that contains all the awesome stuff and be an actual RPG with adventure elements than vice-versa.

The whole idea of a boss is that it isn't supposed to die in one hit unless it's weakness is specifically meant to kill it in one hit. That's part of the whole challenge of killing a boss! Wouldn't be much of a boss if it went down in one hit now would it.......

This isn't a big-budget game so I don't expect the graphics to be bleeding edge. The game kind of looks like it has a lot of the same fights. Only a hand full of enemy types with very little variation on attacks or making the player have to think too much about how to take down a certain enemy.

Who agrees that the guys who made Maneater could do a better job at making a full open world werewolf the apocalypse game I mean think about it they made a really fun shark game that's open world that has a gta like wanted system and the more people you kill then the more tuffer enemies will get and legendary shark hunters come after you they can use that idea in werewolf the apocalypse and have a wanted system where werewolf hunters will try to hunt you down if you kill too many people and among them will be legendary werewolf hunters who have special abilities and use different tactics to hunt you down and they could also be infected with the wyrm and so as a last resort they transform and they become a wyrm enemy with special powers we need a game just like that man.

They are calles werewolf because of modern times but their real names arw Garou. They have 5 transformation in total. Kahal only use 3 of them wich is Homomid, Lupine and warform Lupus.

@@seanhall141 I know man after the game was annouced I searched the tabletop game lore and it sounded so cool. They had weresharks,werebears and creepy spider people that would have been cool to fight. But they had to do generic evil people.
@@andergarcia4953 The Mokolé (which are weredinosaurs, weredragons, weresnakes or a little of each) are _my_ favorite of the Fera breeds, particularly since I have their Breedbook and its "Build your own -Crinos- Archid form" tables. I created a Mokolé who was a pteranodon with triceratops horns in his Archid form, which I figured would be great for flying "hit and run" attacks; sadly, my Mokolé never got to see gameplay. I think I still have his character sheet somewhere.
(And I'm glad that the Rokea/weresharks have had at least a smidgen of representation in White Wolf's video games, even if it was just a boss fight in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. But the Garou you have to deal with later in the game is _so_ much nastier, it left me disappointed with "Hengeyokai" (that Rokea) in comparison.)

well i know why calling earthblood... because the cac is really fixed on the ground... the game is pretty rare and has good feeling but the dynamic is not too good also what i see the bosses is very similar... it"s a half game!

Thumbs up if you enjoyed this game instead of graphic and some other problems. It was pretty fun to play. At hard difficulty it give his best. Obviously they could have done it better however its enjoyable.

In the context of Hack N'Slash/Action RPG, God Of War 3 for PS3, has much nicer graphics (as well as gameplay) than this game (which we remember is also for PS5). Amazing how a 2 generation ago console like the PS3, has games with superior graphics quality to this "Next-Gen" game.
@Pismon IVTM The fact remains that to be a game for PS5, it has such low graphics. The number of employees does not have to justify the quality (For example Media Molecule has less than 100 employees and their games are of quality. Same thing for Toys For Bob that with 180 employees made a spectacular Spyro trilogy and a beautiful Crash 4. last but not least, The Game *Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice* which has great graphics, was done by about twenty people). It takes skill, not many people to make a game. Better 10 industry experts than 500 inexperienced.
@Pismon IVTM 1 - If it is very difficult for them to make animations and models in a game, it is evident that being a developers is not for them. I'm not saying this out of nastiness, but if you don't know (in 2021, therefore in a period in which so many quality titles are running) how to make a game well done, what can I say ... change job.
2 - You don't need to be a small or large company to make good games, you need to have talent. Naughty Dog at the time before Crash was not famous, then with the success of Crash Bandicoot, they have always improved to become the giants of the sector. If those who made this game "Cyanade" had made this game as the first game ever, I would have accepted it, after all it is the first, but the problem is that these developers have been making games since 2001, that is 20 years, is if in 20 years you can't stand out and get recognized as a Software House, well, I'd start wondering why.
3 - I haven't played the game yet, because I believe that spending 40 bucks on a game that doesn't seem up to par is wasted money (at least for me). When it costs 5-10 $ I might think about it.
