Street Fighter ACE Move Steal Showcase

  • The Street Fighter 6 trailer has people speculating that it may include a 'create a fighter' or 'custom character' mode. This made me think about ACE from SFEX3.
    In that game you could complete challenges to earn points and spend those points on buying new moves. Some of these moves are taken from other games and even share the same inputs.
    Anyway, I've wanted to make a video like this for ages and this seemed like the perfect time.

    5:48 As much as I’d love for this move to be referencing Geese’s raging storm, the pose he strikes and the effect of the ground pound is much closer to Akuma’s Third Strike ground pound super. I believe the super was called Kongou Kokuretsu Zan.

    So basically, Arika prototyped the upcoming Create-a-character of SF6 more or less.

      If he'd done the super from the right distance, it would have caught at the end instead of missing, and Ace would've done the grab to finish it. But for some reason this super can just fail to finish right, if the opponent is the wrong distance away from the wall. []

  • @OTHERMRBABCOCK
    @OTHERMRBABCOCK Před 2 lety +20

    Some errors:
    The move for Geese actually comes from Shadow Geist
    The move form Heihachi is actually the end of Lan’s easy combination from Fighting Layer. Notice no electricity at all: could be a double reference but with all the other Fighting Layer moves it’s probably Lan’s.
    Also to note Blair’s Fairy gift will always have Ace land on his ass and you can’t mash the buttons for more hits/damage and a different ending. (Blair could pose like shown, fall on her ass, or land and bounce back in Fighting Layer).
    The Galaxy is much easier to perform with larger windows to input the commands unlike Fighting Layer.
    Akita’s Combo has the strictest timing of all of Ace’s moves and actually need to be done assuming your facing the other direction for the last part in addition to doing it all in a smooth motion and within 10-20 frames.
    Cammy’s Killerbee Assault will never land the final grab as it isn’t programmed at all.

    • @OTHERMRBABCOCK
      @OTHERMRBABCOCK Před 2 lety +3

      Tested and yes but the rhythm seems kinda off. Maybe because I mained Blair in FL and got used to that timing. I had done all 3 punches in sequence that’s why it didn’t work. Hadn’t touched this game in 10+ years can do that to you.

    Btw, 5:48 seems more like a modified Death Government super from Shadowgeist, rather than Geese's Raging Storm. Death Government tracks along the ground rather than shoot up in a pillar, though, so hard to say.

    Honestly, the CaC idea from SF6 sounds awesome, and a great way to balance it and not end up having a broken character, but also implement it to the World of the game could be an open scenario where you choose to train with some specific character to follow him and learn it's moves and combat style, at the end of the training / learning, you receive their signature move and super moves, for example, Hadoken and Shinku Hadoken or Shin Shoryuken from Ryu, Flame Shoryuken and Shoryureppa/Shinryuken from Ken, the sand blast from Luke and it's special art, Kikoken or Hyakuretsukiaku and the Kikosho from Chun-Li, etc.
