I remember always exchanging the Reisling for the japanese machine gun.
Shooting the Reisling in this game was NOT a pleasant experience (for me at least).

Did you know that the Japanese fixed machine gun fired way, way too fast in single player? You will find that it exhibited roughly the correct fire rate in multiplayer, however.

I don't think I ever successfully equipped the Johnson rifle that I heard was somehow available in Pacific Assault.

I believe it´s only in the Director´s Edition of the game. You can potentially find it during the Bloody Ridge battle, otherwise you get it afterwards in the Lunga River mission after you do the initial scouting bit (instead of the drum-mag Tommy Gun you normally have). It´s a cool looking weapon and packs a punch, but only has a 20-round magazine, so it´s essentially like a slower firing BAR.

@@Rimland23 That's the PC version and edition I had of this game when it came out - what was that, 2004? Anyways, I donated it long ago now. You know, I had immense fun with Medal of Honor: Allied Assaults' multiplay. Pacific Assault was a major let down and I did have high expectations. The same with Brothers in Arms. 2x2 multiplayer (plus bots) with Brothers in Arms absolutely sucked even more so than Pacific Assault.
