I got my Dyson gen5 outsize and I was so happy because the laser roller helped me see the invisible dust and pet hair and Torque Drive cleaning head is very useful for long hair because I see the hair vanes. Also the battery run time is 80 minutes and there even a second battery which it turned 160 min, wow just wow🤯
I’ve just ordered mine today that will be my birthday gift to myself it should be arriving on January 9, 2024 I can’t wait I’m excited 🎊 🎉

Mine arrived today, purchased to replace my 10-year-old multi-floor and V6 Animal. I love it, especially the new emptying design, so much easier than my old V6. And the suction on Boost is phenomenal!

I’m replacing my Dyson from 2007 with the Gen 5 Detect Outsize Abosolute and I can’t wait to use it! It truly looks impressive and is extremely innovative for a vacuum cleaner. I can’t wait to try the laser head on the hardwood floors. The only downside I’ve seen so far with the outsize is the XL motorbar has slightly less suction at the head compared to the standard size motorbar. I guess I’ll know soon enough since mine arrives this Friday. Funny the things that excite us as we get older

Please consider developing cordless upright vacuum.
You did incredible work miniaturizing motors and improving battery life, but over time your handheld models still grew significantly in size. Although the bin size also increased to the more practical levels, the emptying experience is still miserable. The dust is flying around, undermining your great HEPA filtering system.
Just imagine the possibilities of bigger form factor combined with your latest technology.

They should make a torque drive digital motorbar for the gen 5 detect for both the outsize and the regular gen 5 detec. The regular digital motorbar lacks the oomph like the torque drive has on carpeted stairs. The conventional powerhead is way too underpowered for stairs and slightly heavier carpet which I have noticed. My V11 absolute pro has it and it works marvels. And some V15s.
I sent my wireless vacuum cleaner to service due to a trigger problem. After the repair was completed, the product was delivered to me by courier in a crashed manner. During the video calls, it was determined that the device was pulsed. In the callback made by Dyson, it was stated that the impact did not prevent use and the service was terminated. In other words, I sent the device, which I had purchased at a high price and used with care, to the service in good condition and received it back damaged. It was delivered to me in a pulverized form for me to use. If you need technical service, either get it delivered by hand or don't need it at all. They sent the cargo that I delivered from home to my workplace without asking. The service department may be understaffed due to increased sales. I've had constant problems since the day I bought it. When I first bought it, it was not possible to install the parts sent and they had to send a new one. My problems are endless. I request that the damaged part of my pulsed device be replaced and I hope that my complaint will be taken into consideration and responded to.
The problem is that the back mounting plate comes installed in the back of the wall door and there is no detail about how to relive it before this video is even relevant.

We have battery powered cordless lawn mowers. Why can't we have battery powered cordless upright vacuum cleaners?
So, there's no extension wand, which means attachments can't reach far. And you basically have to have a utility room to store it because who wants that hanging on their living room wall? Is the 2nd head necessary? Won't the main one clean hard floors as well?
The extension wand is for those hard to reach places. The fluffy head is designed specifically for cleaning non-carpeted surfaces. With the soft nylon and anti-static carbon filament brush bar the soft roller head can pick large debris and remove the fine layer of dust all at the same time. If you have a good amount of bare floors in your home the soft roller cleaner head is a must-have. We also have the floor dok as well.

Hello Dyson, I'm really sorry to admit that the unboxing experience of your vacuum cleaners is very complicated and not very suitable for a 999€ product. However your packaging is very eco friendly. I’m saying that because I’ve discoverd the same issues on my unboxing of the V12 Slim detect. I hope my feedback can help you :)

Just got mine, seems to be missing a part, no proper instructions on how to set up or wall Mount. Really disappointed. Calling Dyson. And this video does not help.
If you can't reduce its weight, call it Gen 3.
It’s called Gen5 because it uses their 5th generation brushless motor.
@@battery_wattage yes, supposedly has a smaller but powerful motor than gen4. But the machine is heavier by half a kilogram. I'm using the gen 4. I can barely manage the weight. Now this one is even heavier.
@@Dpak1980 I don’t know where you got your info but Dyson never claimed lighter. It’s much more dense and actually requires additional material for dissipating heat. Still a marvel of engineering for a vacuum cleaner motor.
@@battery_wattage Dyson never claimed lighter. Yes. But the new motor is significantly smaller. Yet the weight increased. Slightly more powerful. More run time. Yes. Not worth the extra cost .
@@Dpak1980 then don’t buy it😃. You don’t need to upgrade a vacuum cleaner every technological generation. In fact you can still choose older models still relevant. I bought the V11 and still use it because newer models aren’t worth the upgrade.
The Gen 5 uses a whole new generation of motor that is both significantly more powerful and efficient. Responding to your original comment, weight is nothing to do with motor generation, vehicle generation, smartphone generation, etc..
