The Tagalog version is a cover released by Ted Ito using the same tune with very different lyrics. It was released as a single in the early 1990s by Ivory Records. Ted Ito is NOT Filipino. LOL. He's Japanese and does not speak Tagalog at all. There is even ANOTHER Tagalog cover of the song in the 1990s by Maso Diez called"Kailanman" (google it). Like "Ikaw Pa Rin", it uses the same melody but with different lyrics than the original Japanese.
There are A LOT of songs like this in the 1990s. All imported from Japan, given Tagalog or English lyrics and then sold in the Philippines.

I just love how they use "ano" when they are thinking of something they'll say, and it's the same as tagalog when we forget what will we say or a word can't come out of our mouth we also say "ano...yung ano..."
