- The principle of freedom of movement between member states is enshrined in European Union law, but are border controls making a comeback within the bloc? That seems to be the case, at least in practice, in some parts of the continent. Eight member states have reintroduced border checks, citing an increase in the number of migrants and the threat of terrorism. In Croatia, the issue of security and migration is a major focus of campaigns ahead of the European elections.

Totally understandable to want strong border control.
EU 🇪🇺 has meant to have a strong external border.

@@user-kg4jv4gr3d what. Im saying yay cuz we got mentioned
Once upon a time Croatia and Slovenia were the same country.
They were never the same country, they lived in the same state and it was called Habsburg empire. That's a large difference. Croatia is a seperate political entity from 8th century AD.
The clown of a politician you interviewed (Mr Kolakusic) on an anti-immigrant agenda belongs to a single seat party (out of 143 non-minority parliament seats), does not participate in the government and was not able to obtain his seat without being a part in a pre-election coalition. And those partners, who helped him to win the seat, he betrayed the very next day after the elections.
I understand that Arte is a Franco-German channel whose purpose is to shape opinion about world affairs primarely within the EU.
But please start to adhere to some more objective and balanced reporting standards. We were flooded with Russian and Turkish propaganda, and now have to deal with this. It's simply too much to bare. Find yourself other menthal colonies for this sort of agitprop.
