Artemi and especially Kuch are the best wings ATM. Pretty sure about that.
That second like is just nuts. All three of them have broken out like crazy this year. They all just seem to just believe that they can do it. The coaching has made a big difference. I’ve been routing for Laffy and his presence is always known on the ice this year. Troch is just too talented to play bottom six and of course bread is just electric this season. If he keeps it up I could see a hart nomination.
Hate to say it but best thing for this team was Chytil going down. Troch should've been on the 2nd line since he was aquired...hes the x factor in the playoffs as this team has lost big faceoffs for 20 years

Huge performance from NY Rangers yet again. The fight shown after every loss is so commendable, genuinely think they could go all the way this season🏆
They need goaltending if they're going to get anywhere in the playoffs. Quick with too many 3+ GA and Shesterkin being shaky doesn't help. The second half of the season will definitely be telling on just what they're capable of doing.
@@JavaBum as a Rangers fan that's watched every playoff game the last 20 years...I like what I'm seeing because we're no longer RELYING on goaltending to win. I don't care who's in net if that's your biggest asset your done...saw it for years with Hank. Try and win every game by 1 goal...guy stands on his head until you have a deflection that no goalie can ever stop. And the goals against are a product of bad play in front of the net which needs to get cleaned up no doubt. Even in games where they give up a few. These guys are making monster saves.
@@angeloneos2778 I understand that, but they need better consistency out of Shesterkin. He's all over the place. If that happens in the playoffs, those goals no goalie can save can and will crush a series.
I agree that them scoring more is a great thing, but if they can have Shesterkin at 80-90% of what he was at in the 21-22 postseason, they have a very strong shot at winning it all.
@JavaBum absolutely. He had a shaky start for whatever reason. But he's coming around. My point was I don't really worry about him cuz he's just too good to go in the shitter. He's been playing much better for sure but the key to this team winning it all is puck control. All these runs they've made they could never get over the hump because they were playing defense 60 to 70% of the time. Especially in that Kings series where they were just completely outmatched and were only there because of Hank.
@@angeloneos2778 Kings got a helping hand from the zebras in a couple of those series. Never anything that they made it off of that--they were a great team. The Rangers made that run far too difficult on themselves by constantly going down and having to claw back up. Playing 20 games before the Finals was brutal.

The guy was in the crease and hit the goalie and he wasn't pushed into him so no goal.
When you watch this Tampa team, you can see that it's still Cooper's team. It's still Cooper's system and it is good, but the team just doesn't have the talent to outscore good opponents anymore. Two games in a row when they need goals at the end of the game Stamkos gets a penalty. So, instead of scoring goals he leaves his team short-handed 2 games in a row. He is at the point of his career when he brings more harm to his team than benefit. This team is done for good. Mark my words.
Not that there isn’t talent, it just isn’t performing.

Is an actually good top 6. The problem? Only Kucherov shows up consistently. Even if they miss the playoffs, Kucherov will likely still win the Hart. But that doesn’t matter when he gets less support than 2018-21 McDavid. Leaf’s goaltending situation has presented the lightning with a chance tho. God bless Samsonov🙏🙏🙏
@@bodhithomas5684 The talent is only on paper and inside your imagination. Cirelli is a defensive center who never really a goal threat. Since when have Paul and Hagel become goal scoring talents? Those 2 were just lucky to join the star-filled Tampa team at the very end of their championship reign back in 2022. Stamkos stopped being a player who he used to be several years ago. And Point has always benefited from being in the same line with Kuch but managed to score more than 40 goals in a season only twice in his career. As I said, there is not enough goal scoring talent in this team. It's only Kuch there. When your 30-year old playmaker (who, by the way, not a natural goal-scorer) is the guy who scored the most in your team, then you are in trouble.
You don’t think the Lightning will make the playoffs? Maybe I’m naive but I still like the Lightning team more than the Leafs - their D and goaltenders suck. Having Vas and Hedman keeps you in most games. Teams can add guys at the deadline hopefully to solidify a team. As a Rangers fan, I see similarities between the two organizations. Felt like the Rangers established a team format to win with, Bolts perfected it, then the Rangers copied that to get to today’s team.
@@HarrisonHollers The problem is, while they still have the talent (on paper at least) to be a threat, Kucherov is the only guy who proves his worth consistently.
@@HarrisonHollers They can somehow make the playoffs but they will be out in the first round again. The talent is not there anymore.

We’re deep with lots of talent I don’t see any reason we can’t win a Stanley Cup I heard they are looking at a trade they have plenty of prospects Igor and Quick are solid the playoffs can’t come quick enough I think they can do it
The only problem is whoever plays the Rangers in the playoffs would take them very seriously while the Rangers might not raise their game for the playoffs. Happens to every president’s trophy winner but if the Rangers finish 2nd or 3rd in the league, I’d put money on them to win the cup.
Your only problem is your coach. I have a hard time imagining Laviolette outsmarting Paul Maurice in the playoffs, given they meet. Yes, Lavi won the cup once but it was ages ago.
@@phillipproussier3723Lavi is the reason the team is as good as it is. With Gallant we were just a solid playoff contending team, and we made the conference final. But under Laviolette, the Rangers are playing like absolute bonafide Cup Contenders and it’s not even up for debate. Rangers didn’t play their best game against PM & the Panthers, defense was nowhere to be seen and we couldn’t finish our offensive chances. It won’t be like that 4 games out of 7 in the playoffs. Maurice may be a better coach than Lavi, I really don’t have an opinion, but usually coaching isn’t the deciding factor in a playoff series. But we shall see, Panthers are a tough out but I have to be excited about how my Rangers are playing

At this point, I’m not even a lightning fan, I’m just a Kucherov fan. Not much of a difference considering he’s the only reason the lightning still have a chance at the playoffs. I don’t even care what happens if they get there, I just want Kucherov to win the Hart trophy. This is even worse than McDavid’s situation from 2018-21. He at least had Drai, Kuch literally has no one this season. It’s honestly gotten to the point he could win the Hart even if the lightning miss the playoffs. What makes this more frustrating is that Toronto’s goalie situation has presented the lightning with a window to jump way ahead of them for a playoff spot. Lightning better get something going before Woll gets back.
Well, at least the Bolts won those Stanley Cups a few seasons ago.

Отличная игра,не смотря на счет команды сыграли отличный матч...Гол в ворота Шестеркина не засчитан не справедливо,атаки вратаря не было,игры в зоне вратаря тоже не было,но так или иначе Ренжерс в этот раз объективно был сильнее,итог на лицо!!!
Я было тоже так подумал, но на повторе на 3:02 видно, как нападающий коньком сдвигает конёк вратаря. Может это. Ну и с новым годом!

@@FAITHandLOGIC Tampa Bay has had an excellent team for years now, unlike my BlackHawks. TB has been able to transition while holding a core team together, but we're rebuilding with Connor 'The Lesser' Bedard. LA Kings rebuilt, and Kopitar is still an excellent player. TB is tough, Rangers need to make it to Conference Finals or they'll be mayhem in the Garden. Best wishes & Happy New Year to you!

Hack announcer complaining about the goaltender interference. Even if it had no bearing on the second shot the penalty was on the first shot attempt so as soon as the lightning touched the puck it should of been blown dead
It hurts to see ex-Hawks lost because of the cap. So many are doing so well across the NHL
I feel the same way for ex-rangers. I hate to see them go, but it’s great when they end up performing well on their new team.

Vasi had a rough night. Can't remember when he let so many soft goals in.. Hedman is becoming a parody of a d-man. I have never seen such a world-class player lose it so quickly.
Vasy has been letting those in for the past two seasons. Not the same since the Colorado Cup Final.
None of those goals were soft and the team didn't help him much giving up so many odd man rushes a 2 on none and at least one other breakaway which he saved.

Something tells me Lightning will be going into a full rebuild next year. JBB has made some really bad deals including the ridiculous signings of Cernak and Sergachev. I doubt Stamkos will be staying once the season is up and expect Hedman to go also.
Nah, they’ll rebuild but you have to prioritize the face of your franchise finishing his career for your team. Plus, Stamkos still implied he wanted to stay. Sergachev is so damn inconsistent. Don’t even know who you trade.

@@HarrisonHollers JBB was still in the organization and while his trades have been risky, they put the team over the top. That’s all you can ask for. Plus, the Yzerplan is shaky in Detroit so you have to wonder if the lighting were just an incredible organization overall. Yzerman and JBB are both legends tho.

Top draft picks have to pan out -Stamkos and Hedman did so theres the success. As a Rangers fan, we need a 3rd line Center after an injury to Chytil. Maybe a trade for Gourde and replicate Bolts 3rd line in NY.
Bolts defense is soft, Rangers had many chances today, it could be 2:7 or 1:8.

Vasilevsky and his blocker have been exposed the last 2 years. The Leafs were the first team to find it and now a lot of teams shoot on his blocker side and score

That no-goal call was bs. Two different Rangers players bumped their own goalie. Zibanejad hooks the Bolts forward into the goalie before the goalie then *pushes himself* into his own player trying to stop the near-side tuck play that was available thanks to Zibanejad's penalty.
I didn’t agree with it but the lightning just made too many big mistakes against the best team in the league currently. Lightning were basically beating themselves at points. You can’t do that against anyone, let alone the rangers. Kucherov gives this team hope and then the lightning can’t even block a predictable pass to stop a 2 on 1. Then Vasi gets caught sleeping to make it 4-1. Hedman was atrocious too. Maybe if the lightning would actually help the front runner for the Art Ross, Ted Lindsay, Hart, and dark horse for the rocket, they’d have won this game. Kucherov playing his ass off every night for a team that looks like they just expect to make the playoffs while putting in no work. So annoyed as a lightning fan

I think you can make an argument both ways and that's coming from a die hard rags fan. Don't think it would've made a difference tho. Vasseys blocker was brutal and think we win 5-2 if that counts.
de Haan is the biggest liability I’ve ever seen for Tampa. I’ve really tried to be patient and give him chance but he lacks so much awareness and vision. He has single-handedly lost Tampa more than 3 games this year.
As has ALL the Tampa D. A far cry from the D corps that won the 2 Cups.

He did interfere on the rebound that Igor gave which lead to the goal. Maybe that’s why they called it.
I think they called it because if you watch the play Igor was pushed out of the paint. So after that sequence he had no choice but to slide completely out of the net to challenge that second opportunity. If that initial push doesn't happen it's highly unlikely he's out of position that badly. First glance I thought it was a good goal but thinking about it thats maybe why they called it.
Agreed. I'm a Rangers fan and I agree with the announcer. Yes there was contact but it did not affect the goalie going that far out of the net. He did that on his own. I think that goal should have stood. 2-1 at that point and it's a different game.
I agree. The only thing I can think is that the interference affected his ability to control the first save, which lead to a bad rebound, coming out too aggressively after the rebound. But that’s a stretch for sure.
