The first goal was the kind of big save you need from an good goalie. The second was a doozy. The third deflected on Savard's shoulder. Then made a great save. And las one he had no chance. Overall a pedestrian performance.

As a habs fan who was at this game, the environment after that second goal was .... interesting to say the least LMAO. Booing and "ref you suck" chants for a good 45 mins at least. Fun game tho

I betcha $100 that Dave Randorf enjoys life in Florida compared to a gloomy life in Ontario. That goal by Cole Caufield was a giveaway, the next goal was an empty netter and Nick Suzuki scored from behind the goal line. I knew it would be different after Montreal led 2-0. Tampa erased Montreal's lead and scored 3 straight and never looked back.
a goal is a goal, does it matter how it go in? as a rebuilding team, we out play tempa, honestly, there's at least half a dozen players won't even be with the team in 2 years.

Finally a ref got it right . They ALWAYS blow the whistle too fast when the goalie has the puck with no one around to challenge him he has to get rid of it or be called for delay of game , which they never do .
I told my wife a few days ago... Montreal is on their 3 game road losing trip! Sure snuff.

The 30 goals for Cole is an accurate number. Maybe 35 isn't out of the picture. As long as he doesn't go into one of those slumps where he scores 3 goals in 20 games.
20 goals in 46 games shouldn't be a problem for a guy that has proven he can score above a 0.50 goals per game pace. The line just needs to stay healthy and together.

Suzuki and Caulfield are playing a man short every shift. Slaf is always behind the play; he doesn't know where to be! How many times did he touch the puck! One hit, one shot...he'll get the odd point because he's with the 2 best players but he does nothing.
I think you're watching last year's games. I'm not saying he's performing at a top6 level yet, but he clearly has an impact on the play.

He averages a margin over 1s/gm! He had 1s (again) last night..was it memorable? In 2 of his last 4 games, he didn't register a single shot. What does his low shot count tell you...because if you are open, Sujuki or Caulfield will find you. He is often out of position and behind the play...he NEVER leads. He got a point this game but I don't know how...he touched it along the way. Do you remember his single shot? Was it a rebound? He had a single hit, no TkA and as usual, didn't carry the puck 10 feet. He doesn't use his enormous size and he is does not possess quick feet. He follows the play and often he's out of position. How many touches did he have, did he rag the puck, beat anyone 1 on 1, launch a missile, punish anyone? As a Habs fan I want him to be the real deal but unfortunately, I see nothing that gets me excited. He's a passenger and unwilling to participate/engage.

Tampa was severely outplayed through most of this game and got a very lucky bounce. Habs were obviously the better team through 90% of this game.

@@sigmundferd1359 except that's a very typical situation where refs will not only hold on to see if the goalie puts it back in play, but often actually tell the goalie to do just that (don't know if a ref said anything there). Shot from far away with absolutely no opposition near the net. The sound and lights people in the building are the ones who fooled everyone.

Ну, так бывает, всегда имеет место быть человеческий фактор. Бывает, что всё идёт как надо, а бывает ничего не получается. Это, наверное, просто нереально быть в кондиции на все 100% каждый матч. Настрой у Mtl был, конечно, потрясающим, чего нельзя сказать о Tbl.
