You do not remove the blue clip! That is to hold the wires into the connector!! Just pull the gray clip!

What are the lights next to the amber colored lights? How do they turn on or what are they for? They don’t turn on with any switch on my 03 tahoe.

Why did you remove the blue clip!!!!
That clip is if you are going to replace the wires and pins, the gray tab is the only one holding the bulb in.
