I do think Jericho has been a tad bit overexposed in recent years. That can lead to him feeling stale. It also doesn't help that wrestling fans are a fickle bunch. What they like one week, can change on a dime the next.

But he got this gimmick from cornetts show and I think that’s partly why lol he trademarked the learning tree and Jericho vortex after Brian and Cornett mentioned it as a joke on their show.

The camera faces the stage at DP, the stands are behind the camera here. There's usually around 3000 people in the seats behind the camera at DP and probably around 800 or so at ringside/on the stage. Don't you remember from all the other episodes they've done there?

Chris Jericho is such an unbelievable, one of a kind, one in a generation individual. His ability to be a chameleon and change with the times, regardless of what is needed from him, is truly something special to behold. Here is is now, as kind of a sage cult leader, straddling the line between face and heel. I wasn't so sure about the character until he said "Hook, you FORCED ME to hit you in the head with that baseball bat." The gaslighting sold it, 100%. I know he has a number of rumors about his personal life swirling around, but as far as I'm concerned, just like the rest of us, he's innocent til proven guilty. And if that day ever comes, I'll adjust my love of the man accordingly. But for now, I'll continue deeply enjoying the legend that is the Lionheart! Thank you Chris for being awesome for several decades.

Jericho is really just swapping face/heel with every feud, but... I am not hating this one.
It's a "I am THE veteran"-gimmick, which fits him perfectly, he has messed up his air and did not shave properly which gives him the "fallen out of favor superstar"-vibe that is just what his career has become, but it fits perfectly for the gimmick. He even talks in a fitting tone.
