Loved watching Super Dave when I was younger on Bizzare. Brings back a lot of memories watching him again!!! You were a true comic genius Bob, Rest in peace.
I remember watching this when I was a kid back in the 80's. I used to think all his stunts were real. Always made me angry when no one would help him after his stunts.
I own a 58 GMC ton and a half. My wife and I have lived 210 miles apart since we married 10 years ago and am going to use it to combine households later this year and will drive through San Francisco, crossing the Golden Gate Bridge in the process.
I watched it a few times and concluded that after Super Dave hit the parking lot face down from the top of the CN Tower and amazingly survived, they switched to a dummy for the ambulance to run over.
For the longest time here in Canada before I was born and after, whenever a Mandrell sisters or Sonny and Cher or Cher alone show failed it would be replaced by or shored up by Super Dave (Bob Einstein) or Billy Van and his troupe. That was some of the greatest comedy on TV here, along with SCTV of course. RIP Bob and thank you for breaking so many bones for us ;)
Genius comedy writer and producer too many shows and series to mention. Catch one of Bob's last appearances on Jerry Seinfelds "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee!" He was an encyclopedia of jokes! Rest in peace man.

Friends started calling me super dave when i was a little kid. We had watched The John Byner Comedy Hour and saw the character for the first time. The name stuck up into my early 30s. I started riding motorcyles before i could walk. Sitting on dads 70 model 750 honda tank wearing moms metallic blue helmet with iron crosses on each side with a yellow bubble mask on it. My square toed dingos and biker jacket. The first memories i have on this planet are riding that leaning back against my dad and im steady screaming go faster go faster. There were times that the oversized helmet would fill with wind and nearly scoop me off the bike. The helmet would often turn sideways on my head. Dad would quickly stop thinking im hurt and crying. It was me screaming for joy yelling go faster dont stop daddy. I heard him telling mom one night he was going to have to sell the bike because i was going to get us killed. I still like going fast. Im a member of the 200 club. I still scream like a lil bitch too. Those are the best memories i have with dad. Too bad those relationships dont always stay like that forever. Dad made me swear id never ride on the steeet if he got me a dirt bike. Ut was a 71 indian with training wheels that lasted about 13 seconds. At 6 i got a 76 yamaha gt 80. Ive still got it. Itll still run 80mph with my 300lb ass on it. RIP super dave.
@@TotinosPizzaRollz you know if anyone saw a toddler sitting on the tank of a big bike rolling down the highway these days theyd have the dad arrested and take the kid. Perhaps i grew up differently from most but it was normal to me. My friends were watching electric company and those two poofs burt and ernie hanging out with that pimp the count and the elephant with a cocaine addiction judging by tge sound of his deviated septum and i was watching monty python and cheech and chong movies hanging out in music studios and back stage at concerts. Ill take hanging with the doobie bros all night over sesame street any day of the week
As a kid, BIZARRE was one of my favourite comedy shows- SCTV et al. It was Super Dave finishing up the show weekly that capped it. When he was on Curb Your Enthusiasm, he was entirely different and still just as funny- RIP Bob Einstein
You always know what's coming and it's still hilarious when it does.
The dummy replacement gets me every time.
The greatest stuntman that ever lived! We all miss you Super Dave!
I think networks should show reruns, there's so little to see on cable TV 📺

I didn’t care for Super Dave when I was a kid in the early 1980s; now, I love him. His slapstick stunts have grown on me.
