    • @Bauglir100
      @Bauglir100 Před 2 lety +23

      @@celphalonred1999 Yeah, but Skyrim's opening is not worth experiencing every goddamn time you start a new game. At least in Oblivion, you can skip the intro video and go straight to the character creation part. Skyrim takes three and a half unskippable minutes before you get off the wagon to get to the character creation section, and then you have to go through the whole execution sequence, and then you have to run to the keep and fight your way through the entire tutorial dungeon to get out of Helgen.
      And unlike Oblivion and Fallout 3, you don't get the option to change the character you created one more time right before you go out into the world for the first time, which would've saved you the trouble of having to go through the dungeon all over again. So you have no choice but to experience that grand opening over and over every single time you want to create a new character. And with all the re-releases and ports Skyrim has received, you're going to be seeing that grand opening a lot. So most people are basically sick of it by now, and it's become a joke over the years.

      "hey, YOU. you're finally awake" has charm in it's own way.
      the problem with this game's intro is it makes the imperial city seem so big and bad@$$, it's almost misleading since the actual imperial city is way smaller once you get to start up the game and explore it with your character.
      you can, of course, mod the game to fix this, but I just remember skyrim living up to how big it's world seemed to be compared to oblivion, which just felt a little smaller than I had hoped :(

    I found Oblivion a lot more enjoyable than Skyrim. Don't get me wrong, Skyrim was a great game and at first I absolutely loved it, but eventually Skyrim got really boring and I felt like the gameplay had become dull. With Oblivion it never felt that way and I still play Oblivion today. (I do really hate the way Argonians look in Oblivion after playing Skyrim though xD) This is just a personal opinion so I'm not stating that Oblivion is better.

    • @SenseiMewtwo12345
      @SenseiMewtwo12345 Před 9 lety +4

      Have you ever tried playing an Argonian vampire in Oblivion? My current file is an vampire Argonian Shadowscale. In theory, the most epic thing ever. However, when you become a vampire as an Argonian, your eyes are retextured to look like the eyes of a vampire of any other race, just larger, and it looks so horrible xD

    • @seedybiscuit
      @seedybiscuit Před 9 lety +1

      SenseiMewtwo12345 You have inspired me to become a vampire. My favourite race is definitely Argonians so I don't need to change that.

      I agree that oblivion was great. It certainly is a great game but i enjoy skyrim more. some say skyrim has lesser things to do and oblivion has more, perhaps. But i have completed all sidestories in oblivion aswell Both got boring to me until i discovered modding and replaying value. The story in these games is so solid and i don't want to pick a favorite. My favorite elder scrolls game is them all combined in this amazing lore and story.

    • @seedybiscuit
      @seedybiscuit Před 9 lety +1

      Oblivion seems more like a role play to me. Skyrim does the role play for you... if you get what I mean. Not saying that is a bad thing, not at all! I was just comparing them.
