@@bradb9146 No sir, I did not. But the 90s had some of the best country songs ever. From John Anderson's "Money in the Bank" to Garth Brooks' "Night I called the old man out" and so many more. The 90s had some of the greatest country music ever.
I WAS BORN IN NOVEMBER 1993 JUST AFTER THIS SONG WAS RELEASED I GREEW UP LISTING TO EARLY 90'S TO THE EARLY 2000'S COUNTRY... OLD COUNTRY BEATS NEW COUNTRY ,...
John Anderson issued some of the greatest country music singles of all time. Excellent material and energy, and a real knack for choosing the right tempo for a powerhouse music backup to his unique and wonderful backwoods vocal style. He is a great one!
I pulled my blue 1989 Bass Cat bass boat w my blue 85 Z28 when this song was out, I’m from the south a lot of young country boys wanted these two things!
This was my go-to song when people wanted me to sing in high school. Once on the bus, a couple of guys made a bet: a friend bet that I would know the words to the next song that came on. The other guy bet that I wouldn't. The next song that came on was Money in the Bank. My friend won.

Congratulations on the Country Music Hall of fame nomination. He’s one of the few artists I got to see play live and he put on a Great show in Tuscaloosa at city fest right on the banks of the black warrior river with Carlene Carter🎶🎹🎸🏈⚾️👍🏻
I remember about 1992 my buddy forced me to listen to this guy, I was more into metallica and Anthrax back then. But it was his house and we had to listen to it. Its good tunes, I like country, people say why you like country!? I like hip hop and metal. But today country is using slide guitars amd banjos, where pop doesnt. Its similar music but country is more ooen to new ideas. Yet old school twangin geetars and fiddle solos, I love that shit

One thing about John we don't have to worry about him not ever staying country. Because he is country and that's what he will stay. So many new singers now days calls themselves country and they have no ideal about it. Keep up the good work John 👏 👍❤🥰
@@adriantomlin2902 I knew him in person yrs ago when I work in myrtle beach sc I used to live there and went to all his concerts and they let me back stage. Really wonderful person ❤
I live here in Florida , which is Mr.Anderson's home state , and have had a few chances to see him perform . I've even met the man once at a festival down here in Brooksville called Super Ride . It's a weekend long equestrian event , where there are live concerts going on throughout the night . I'm not sure if it is still a thing or not , as I went between probably 1999 or 2001, can't really remember that we'll . Anyhow , he was a very nice man and he sounds as good live as he does on the radio , which is a rare thing .= )
@@mikiesmustangs4803 Me too. That's why I have Willie's Roadhouse on Sirius XM Satellite radio, a station that plays nothing but the old school country music.
That's it right there. John Anderson has a voice that screams country. Not very many country artists can say that and even less want to be able to say that I suspect.
I remember this song being played on everybody's radios while my brother and I were playing with our toy boats in a ditch-creek. Y'all remember those really cool truck and bass boat combo sets they sold? Had a little motor on the boat that actually worked. Anyway, I was proud of my bass boat whenever he mentioned it in this song..because I was too young for love. That new model z-28 had just come out to though and it was amazing looking. I'm sure I wanted that though. This was in Texas right after the Oilers lost epically to the Bills..and it still hurts. Anyway I hope Florida appreciates John Anderson like everybody I know in Texas does.
Took me a long time to understand this song, but i get it now. 90% of my disposable income is spent on the wife, not because she demands it, or even really asks for it, but because her smile is far more wonderful than anything i could buy myself with that money.
@countrygirl countrymusiclover no it isn't folks like Kane Brown use snap tracks in their songs and use pop sounding chords etc. Plus all songs have similar stories with no soul into them and it's just copy and paste music
@countrygirl countrymusiclover also you call them disrespectful for a small typo while you also tell people to fuck off and bully them despite you quote "I'M NOT A BULLY" which sounded an awful lot like bullying to me
It would be hard to find anyone more country than this guy. He kicked out hit after hit and this is one of them. The bands that backed these guys up in the 80's and 90's were outrageously good, too.
1985 PHS I got my pic taken with him My Local Sheriff's Department Association brought him to Parkersburg,Wv. Front Row Seats that was a Great Concert 🙂

Never listened to a lot of country as a kid outside of cash and hank but been discovering some of the 90s artists. John conlee and john anderson are great
@Austin Grace I grew up in John's back yard. Krystals and the 99 cent movies were the sites of many dates in high school. My sister gave me so much guff when this song came out.
John Anderson was actually one of my favorite singers in all of country and that's saying a lot considering guys like George Straight, Clint Black and Garth Brooks....
The only man who could turn BANK into a five syllable word! 😂
And make it sound good, too....
Agreed! I actually had to listen to this song again after what......30 years. Because love is better than money in the bayayayayayayayank!
This is 100% a TRUE FLORIDA SOUTHERN ACCENT VIA APOPKA FLORIDA!!!!
So many wonder why the 90s was perhaps the greatest decade for country music? This man alone is responsible for a good deal of why.
°\(-_-)/° I guess you missed from the 50s to the mid 80s . = (
Yup it sucks country music aint like this anymore i miss it a lot
I was 7 wen this came out still had 8track but this was on tape had all the good stuff
I disagree because that is when it became too pop. I love the 80s and prior.

John Anderson has such a unique voice and can belt a country song. 😁👍

I was in John's band in 6 and 7th grade. I still see him every time he comes near where I live.
You can always know his voice , it’s one of a kind
Exactly!! Back in the day every artist and their band had their own unique sound!! Where the flyin Frankfurter is that at nowadays??!!

Both John and his beautiful wife, Jamie, are cancer survivors, also. they are a great couple. loved her in his videos. hope the best for both of them.
90s country. Nothing like it. Love the old outlaws but the nostalgia with 90s country is just do different.
