  • If the video feels like it jumps around a little bit, thats because I filmed a lot of it out of order while waiting for parts. Sucks that this happened, but the truck still turned out incredible and I am pumped! The truck feels much more usable now, and it looks better to boot. It is really going to transform the track days being able to carry tons of parts and not needing to worry about driving the car home. Should make for a lot of good content this summer!

I'd have skipped the rims and just bought tires, steel wheels make those a more capable truck,
I did a spray in bed liner a few years into owning mine, but hated it and later added a rubber mat as well, then I found a drop in liner and put the mat in the liner. to give me a flat floor that don't hurt my knees. (I also added a huge fiberglass cap). The drop in liner and cap are the two best things I did. I don't regret the spray in liner because I know its still protecting the bed from rust under the liner but having dry storage in the back is a major plus.
I had a three piece set of Weatherguard tool boxes at first but they started to weather and turn yellow, and they killed bed space, so I sold them for more than I actually paid for them new, and bought a used cap and minty clean bedliner for $200 and never looked back.

Sounds like you've had a chance to try it all! This truck actually came with a huge fibreglass cap, and as much as I like the dry storage I like being able to access the bed from the sides more. I took the plastic bed liner out because I was worried about rust forming underneath, sounds like you have the best of both worlds (rust protection with spray-in, and the benefits of the plastic liner). Thanks for watching!

you should clean up the front and rear hubs with some black paint to make the wheels look even better

Do you use a cap on your truck? I assume you'd need to keep them out of the elements right?

@@LooseFab I have tonneau covers but they're marine grade polypropylene boat carpet. Vacuum or pressure wash them when needed. The one in my old truck is 23 years old. It's been through everything.
