Hey everyone, it's Charlotte Dobre here, and today we're going to be talking about entitled people. You know the type - those individuals who think that the world owes them something, who demand special treatment and believe that rules don't apply to them.
In this video, we're going to delve into the psychology of entitled people, exploring why they act the way they do and what makes them think that they're above everyone else. We'll also be sharing some stories and examples of entitled behavior, both in real life and on social media.
From the entitled Karen who demands to speak to the manager over the slightest inconvenience, to the entitled influencer who thinks they deserve freebies just because of their follower count, we'll be taking a closer look at the various forms that entitlement can take.
But it's not all doom and gloom - we'll also be discussing ways to deal with entitled people, whether you're dealing with them in your personal life or in a customer service or work setting. We'll share some tips on how to set boundaries, stand up for yourself, and avoid getting caught up in their entitlement trap.
So, if you're ready to learn more about entitled people and how to deal with them, make sure to hit that subscribe button and tune in to this video. Let's get started!

Hi, I'm Charlotte Dobre. I'm an actor, reactor, singer and sometimes (not really) comedian. On this channel I do reactions, commentary and occasionally I make a joke or two. I love poking fun at social media, weddings, entitled people, tiktok and OF COURSE petty people. I upload daily, usually 7 days a week, unless life gets crazy or I get lazy. That girl with the landlord didn’t rent a room, she rented a mom
Oh for sure! That woman is very controlling and probably jealous too
A wicked stepmother, more like.
A toxic one
She moved in with a Sheldon 😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂 so true
Ok I love how the "no guests" girl clearly had a verbal convo with the super, but sent a text summarising so she had written evidence. Smart move
Always get it in writing!
@@kathleenbradley7142 it was not notarize. The writing means absolutely nothing I’m a landlord I’m letting y’all know the girl in the first video got kicked out.
@@LATMTVTenant rights in many states won't allow that thankfully. That text would hold up in court with the proper argument, as a lawyer I'm just letting you know :)
@@LATMTVdepends on the state. Not being notarized does not mean a written contract is void, that’s most states.
@@twitchy_bird what courts lol I work for a magistrate rn !!! Been barred for the state of California since 2012 lol you tried it but no it won’t hold up ma’am show me a case where it did, I’ll wait right here lol
"SHE'S NOT COMING TO VISIT YOU, SHARON" lmfao
LOL Sharon needs a chill pill
I love how the roommate girl starts smiling that’s when you know you’ve lost your patience entirely 😂😂😂😂
As a regular viewer of The People's Court and Judge Judy I am so very impressed at how this young woman firmly stood up for her rights and refused to allow the "landlord " to bully her.
Well, if you research the situation, the girl was kicked out😅😅😅
I lived in a woman's house once as a student. It got a bit much when she and her mom started commenting on when I got home. They were "worried" but I was an adult.
@@LATMTVseriously????
@@LATMTV Kicked out? She was moving in 2 weeks anyway!
@@LATMTVkicked out? Seems like she left on her own.
Also if she was kicked out and the girl wanted to push it, she could sue the landlord into oblivion. To be kicked out you have to serve and eviction notice and wait for court. Then the tenet normally gets around 1-3 months to leave and if she was leaving in two weeks anyway then either she didn’t get kicked out and moved out on her own or was kicked out illegally before the move out date.
For the landlords sake I hope it’s the first.
The 56 year old roommate is treating the 21 year old as if she’s her child and making her abide to her rules. That conversation went on farrrrr too long!
The 21 year old is entertaining absolute nonsense.
Yeah, she was trying to be "mom" and it doesn't work when it's a roommate.
Also sounds like Sharon doesn't understand what it's actually like to rent a room, especially without a written agreement.
Always get a written agreement, it protects both parties.
Woah I totally missed the ages..that’s a big ol yikes!
There is a lease. Period. Conversations do not matter. That lease matters and the law matters. If you cannot deal with the law of sharing an apartment with someone ...don't share an apartment with someone. Find a cheaper one bedroom and live alone. Not that hard of a concept.
it did go on far too long. an invaluable lesson i have learned is how to establish a boundary and simply walk away. dont let people drag you into an argument about it. the crazy lady is just trying to make you feel as crazy as she is.
I once had a roommate with a similar age gap and it was actually lovely. She was the best and let me do whatever I wanted (within reason). My boyfriend (now husband) was allowed to visit on and off for weeks before we moved in together in a different apartment. She let me take over the balcony with tons of plants which did wonders for my depression. Loved that lady. I still genuinely miss living there it was so nice
I have been in customer service for 33 years and I gotta say, that was some beautiful customer service by the lady taking calls. She did a fantastic job.
Took lot of patience that's for sure , have a child who works for large companies call center and have heard some horrible things, I definitely don't have what it takes 😂
She deserves a raise or a promotion for sure. I could not have remained that calm. She genuinely sounded like she wanted to help her. I, on the other hand, would have rolled my eyes so hard the customer would have heard it. HUGE props to her!
First girl has more! I followed her story when she posted it. Her psycho roomie got aggressive for using basic necessities, she covered all the furniture, and claimed she’ll never find love... The last part was ironic cuz said crazy roomie was an online date coach!
The woman renting the room out needed help with the rent but didn't want a roommate. I've seen people do this. They rent the room out, then bully the people to leave early and they get to keep the rent and deposit. It's literally how they make money. Thanks to crappy rental laws in the US.
That tenant should have called the cops for harassment. Let them explain that she's breaking the law, and she can't do anything unless she has a written agreement. No way I'd have entertained that conversation. I'd use the police to tell her to stop. 😂
Thats a good point. Hadnt thought about that. That’s why I was i never interested in renting with strangers, got to be someone you know. Sheesh, renting nightmares.
Rental laws vary from state to state. It isn't a nation wide thing. And if you don't know your rights, educate yourself. I was in rental management and I hated it for this kind of thing. Tenants rarely tell you the truth. Had one tenant that had 9 PEOPLE living in a 2 bedroom apartment, 7 of them were adults. So please stop with this "crappy rental laws" junk. It's BS.
@@debbysouthworth5606 if your tenants aren't telling you the truth, you're probably a shady landlord. Yeah there are shitty tenants, but most tenants only "become" shitty when their landlords refuse to fix shit.
Not just the US either, we've got some pretty crappy landlords in Australia, though we do at least have an efficient tenant's advocates and pretty steep penalties for scumbag landlords (and scummy tenants too of curse).
While I was studying nursing a friend and I shared a house, where the landlord calculated the rent based on how many tenants lived there, the scummy landlord had snuck into our lease that any "guest" that slept in the residence for "3 or more consecutive nights" would be "henceforth considered a tenant and the rent would be adjusted accordingly". I had set up our rent to be debited automatically from my pay, and discovered she'd increased our rent by 15%. When I contacted her she told me it was because she'd "been made aware" that a new person was now living there. The new person, it turns out, was my 14 year old brother, who came to stay for 8 days while my mother was away.
Luckily she didn't get away with that, and also my friend and I were allowed to end our lease early, with no penalty, and the judge told her it was "a blatant disregard of tenants rights, and full of bad faith"
She tried to say "This is how we do things all the time in China and no problem", but the judge just looked at her and said something like "Well with all due respect, China doesn't get a say in my courtroom"
The first girl did herself such a solid by documenting everything
So many tenant/landlord/roommate cases on shows like People’s Court could be avoided had people just gotten stuff in writing
yes! that is the education our students need! Practical, useful, and honestly this could be saving a person potentially thousands of dollars and years of litigation.
Not everywhere. Don’t move to Oregon. We had tenants 3 months behind. We couldn’t get them out. If i hadn’t talked to a real estate secretary, Oregon law prohibits the owner from removing anyone after October. It’s cruel because it’s cold. The tip? In Oregon the owner of the property is responsible for water service. Water….off
Ah i see. Mystery psycho roommate thought the apartment was 100% hers even though she subleted out a room. She didnt realize that subleting doesnt mean shes the landlord who gets to make illegal requests/lie about terms/change terms wtc.
Too common unfortunately
“She is not confused, she just wants free things“ is a gem
That girl against the landlord is how everyone should aspire to be. It took me be grown to get that voice. Kudos for her being so young and so smart
Well, if you clearly look it up, she got kicked out and evicted😅😅😅
I agree 👍
@@LATMTVbetter than staying in that environment.
I get the sense that she’s a law student.
@@LATMTVNot you commenting under every post supporting the girl. Your just as bad as the landlord you might even be her hope you enjoy your power trip
56 year old citizen of DeluluLand needs to realize that unless its in WRITING, they can use facilities and have guests over WHENEVER. And you can't kick people out with a day's notice, its 30 days. Tenant can sue for A SHIT TON of money if you kick them out.
Not to mention renting out a room and not informing HER super! 🤭
And I'm 99% sure that it's written in DeluluLand Lady's lease that she NOT Sub Let the apartment, if I remember my own lease's contract...she can find herself being evicted!@@beingbeckeroni
There are some places in the US with a 72 hour eviction window, but that is the SHORTEST in the country as far as I know.
@@SquiddyHiggenbottomfrom what I understand that 72 hour thing only applies if a judge approved it.

Man, I felt bad for the girl who wanted her sister to come visit. The fact that the arrogant, controlling tenant/roommate was considering the idea of the girls sisters visit was gonna turn the apt into a "flop" house (what ever that means) is CRAAAAZY! I really hope she stood her ground and didn't leave until she knew she had to and when the time did come she left with the wheels to her car/uhaul peel up the driveway. She handled that better than me because I would have cursed her out 3 ways through Sunday had she been talking to me about the idea of my sister like that.
Flop house is an old slang term for a place you take a cheap date for a one nite stand.
@@ryverwynd3134Which is why it’s so bad in my opinion. I mean she’s basically saying she’s gonna have a one nighter with her sister. Yikes
@@ryverwynd3134which is why it doesn’t fit at all in this scenario. The older woman was crazy.
I feeI may have a problem lol. I cannot deal with confrontations and in my case I would have just left and try to find another solution for my sister to stay.
I would have assumed that is what anyone else would do
@@ryverwynd3134 aah bet thanks for clarifying! 💯🙌🏿
I've had this EXACT thing happen with a roommate... She used to go in my room without my permission until I finally charged her with trespassing. You should have heard her crying to the cops in the living room "but this is MY house!" I moved out as soon as I could.
Tenants have rights. It's perfectly within your rights to have your sister stay with you. Holy moly I could NOT live with a HORRIBLE PERSON like that for anything.
Exactly. Having guests, even overnight, is considered a core part of the enjoyment of your property, whether rented or owned. There can be limits set, but it's more about stopping a "guest" from becoming a "tenant"
Tenants have rights, but it gets messy with the sublet and the fact that the super/landlord had no knowledge. The psycho lady could have gotten the boot for it too.
MOST leases do NOT allow an overnight guest for more than 3 days... seems like the young girl keeps changing the timeframe and expecting the lady to be ok with random ppl running through
@Jeparad you sound like the jealous old lady
@Jepred it’s not random people.
It’s her sister. They already talked about it and she said it was okay and was excited about it. What she’s doing is not okay
Long but funny story.
When I was a manager at a pizza place, I got a call from a customer who said the pieces of meat on her pizzas were too small (🤔), and then began screaming at me.
She was so loud that the customers in the store all started staring in my direction. I told her that I couldn't understand her, so please stop screaming so I could resolve the issue. She said "EEEEXCCCUUUSSSEEE ME?!"
So I explained that I needed her to speak to me in a calm manner in order for me to help her.
She started screaming again. I told her that she obviously didn't want to resolve her issue, so I was hanging up and to have a good night, then I hung up.
Seconds later she calls again, this time my boss (who owned the restaurant) came over and stood next to me.
I tried again to get her to stop screaming so I could understand what she was saying, and again she goes "EEEEXCCCUUUSSSEEE ME?!" Then adds "I'm recording this call!!" I said "Great, so now do you want to stop screaming so we can resolve this?"
Off she went with the incoherent screaming again.
I told her that I wasn't going to put up with her behaviour, and to not call back. I hung up.
I start to help another customer when, you guessed it, she called back.
I answered it and told her that I was going to block her number because we are too busy to deal with her tantrum. She reminded me that she was recording the call, and I should call the RCMP on her. I said "I'm too busy to entertain you're infantile attitude, you are now banned from this restaurant, I am blocking your phone number and am telling you to stop calling us." I hung up and blocked the number.
Silence, finally!
My boss congratulated me on how I handled it, and the customers all gave me approving nods and some words of encouragement.
The phone rings, I pick it up, it's her using another phone. 🙄😒
I told her that I am granting her request to call the RCMP and have them explain to her what you're banned, stop calling us means. I hung up, blocked that number and called the RCMP.
While speaking to them on my cell phone, the store phone rings... it's her on a third phone!
My boss answered it and I immediately heard the screaming, so while still talking to dispatch, I grab the phone out of his hand, put my cell on speaker and held the other phone up to it so she could hear what we had been dealing with.
I give her enough tantrum time for dispatch to get the idea, and without saying a word, I hung up the store phone and blocked that number.
All was quiet for about 5 minutes, until I answered the phone to that all to familiar screeching voice.
How many phones does this woman have?!
Before I could hang up, I heard her say "Where are the cops? I thought you called them? I'm waiting!"
I said "Be patient, they'll be there. Now stop calling here!" Again, hung up and blocked the number.
By this time everyone had gone through all the emotions, and we were all at the point where we were laughing. The calls stopped but we weren't holding our breath.
Soon after, a cop walks in and says she shouldn't be bothering us anymore, but if she calls again, she's going to jail. His tone and body language said it all, she was definitely not pleasant to deal with.
She didn't call back.
Fast forward to me getting off work and going home. I go on fb and have a bunch of notifications showing that I have been tagged on some post, so I go look, and wouldn't you know it; she made a post saying that she called us and was just trying to politely explain that her order was wrong, and the manager started screaming at her and threatened to call the cops on her.
Now, I should mention that we live in a fairly small town, so I was kind of well known as the manager, and the comments didn't go the way she hoped.
So many people were calling her out, saying I was the nicest person, I go above and beyond to make the customers happy, etc. One person even said that on a day I wasn't working, she got the wrong order and was told I would call her when I worked next. I did and she explained what happened. I told her that I would make her a new pizza free of charge and deliver it to her personally, which I did.
I was feeling pretty great reading all the positive comments about me, and I felt it was important that I tell my side (which was anticipated by some of the commenters.
By this time it was around 1am, so I figured she was in bed but she would eventually see that I commented on it. I was sure to remind her that she said she had recorded the calls, and I invited her to upload them so everyone could hear them and decide for themselves who was telling the truth.
I have insomnia, so I was able to check the comments under mine for hours. They were hilarious.
I was still awake at 8am, when I checked again, and wouldn't you know it, the post was deleted! 😳
I had already taken screenshots of the whole thing though, because I knew as soon as she saw that I commented, she would dirty delete.
She did go in a few days later to apologize. I wasn't there but my boss told he that she still insisted that I was the one screaming. He told her that he had been standing next to me the entire time. He said she just turned around and walked out, but we never had any problems with her after that.
For those who made it to the end, thanks for reading my rambling novel lol.
Best Ted Talk of 2023! 😉

That young woman is so perfectly professional. She needs a raise 😊
The first one isn't called a landlord, it's called a person of whom is highly disturbed because someone else is enjoying there own life more.
The young woman handling the “escalation” was uh-MAZING. She is worth her weight in gold.

The girl with the controlling landlady is the reason why I always suggest to everybody to make a written agreement to protect oneself.
People tend to forget what they agreed to, especially if they are older or/and emotionally unstable.
I found it interesting that she "took a class" and knew her rights, but evidently the class didn't teach her to ALWAYS GET A WRITTEN LEASE.

“She’s not coming to visit you, SHARON!” 😂 Psychotic behavior.
I’m literally going to shout this at people being controlling/petty for no good reason.
That why she’s mad….she has no one to come see her 😂😂
Escalation call: that was some next level customer service, right there. So inspiring how she kept her cool.
I completely agree, classy & professional! I can remain calm like that for a very long time, but I likely would have lost my cool with that woman on the phone
Sharon said they didn't discuss it but then says, "you said ten nights".👀
That girl had had me at: " She's NOT coming to see YOU, SHARONNNN!!!". 😂❤
I hate to say it but for the Subway one, the worker who handed over the sandwiches should have informed the son that they didn’t have what they wanted and asked what he would like to substitute instead of assuming. That said, it wasn’t this girls fault at all and the woman sounded like she was unhinged.
Yes, the son should have been advised at pickup. BUT people do make mistakes. When the mom called in the staff member gave her options including a free replacement for the sandwich. I just don't know what the customer thought they were gonna offer her. It's not like the manager is gonna likely to do anything more.
My guess is that the son was told, shrugged, and said “Whatever.” No one cared until he got home to mama.
Two things could've happened, they told and the son said it was okay but didn't have the guts to correct his mom (which happens in unstable households oof), or they forgot to inform the son and it's on Subway. Both are possible.
I guarantee they probably did. She didn’t say because she wasn’t there when it happened. But I bet that teenage boy was like yeah sure that’s fine. The meatball sub was for him lol so he’s like why not another
As someone with pretty severe food intolerances, i would NEED to know if they did any substitutions. Luckily, anyone picking up food for me would know to tell me.
Shout out to the second girl for absolutely keeping her cool but also reading that lady for filth. She stayed professional but was 👏🏻 not 👏🏻 having 👏🏻 it
"She's not coming to visit you, Sharon" broke the dam. I'm crying laughing
I can relate to that first young woman who had the 56 year old roommate/mother. I had a roommate who was 20 years older than me. She basically got mad at me for the most insignificant things. I shared her Venmo username, asked about a cart in front of the house, sat in her chair in the COMMON AREA. There was more, but you probably catch my drift.
Shouldn’t she be HAPPY if u shared her Venmo user name lmfao Karen’s man
Personality disorders left untreated create actual demons.
The customer service rep really handled herself with grace and poise. She deserves a raise!
I'm happy to see that customer service reps are given the opportunity to work from home. I think it's much less stressful for them, and it's one less vehicle on the road, and less money they have to spend on office attire.
A few years ago I was chatting with a customer service rep who was very polite and professional, when all the sudden her toddler let out a loud wail, very close to the phone. The rep was rather horrified and very apologetic.
I told her it's no problem at all, and her daughter should be her top priority. My issue is not an emergency, so how about calling me back later when things are calm?
Her daughter just wanted some juice, so she took care of it quickly while we were on the phone and was able to solve my issue in about five minutes. I told her that I think she's a wonderful mom and I'm really glad that she found this opportunity to work from home so that she could take care of her daughter.
I was a single mom, and hated having to put my toddler in daycare. As soon as he was in Kindergarten, I worked part time while he was at school, then started my sewing business from home so that I was always home with him after school. I've never regretted that, even when I was up until 3 AM trying to finish a sewing job.
You know what corporate might give her? A slice of pizza at the communal pizza party. Lol she was great though, seriously. I'm just jaded from corporate mentality.
@@jenniferwintz2514 Oh bye, Entry Level Call Centers don't even care enough to give Pizza parties 💀I did have a generous old supervisor at mine, she would pay pizza and stuff like that literally once to twice a week, which yea yea, I know, pizza isn't a raise but she likely did whatever was within her power.
I worked in healthcare customer service, and was an escalation specialist because of my forty plus years of experience. There were some that could not be satisfied because of unrealistic expectations.
@@kiraphobia222 yeah I was also in healthcare related call center. Even when I'd been there 10 years, gotten a few nominal raises, and "promotions" (i.e. take on more work for a pittance more pay) they would periodically do these "appreciation days." One time, (this occurred maybe twice a year) they brought in doughnuts. We were each allotted HALF a Wal-Mart glazed doughnut. Not even a good doughnut. I would rather have a bathroom break without explaining my cycle or my digestion or whatever.
I love my manager. One time w/ an escalation call I got to listen in and she was able to tell the member “So, what I believe is you understand what I am saying to you, but you just don’t like what I am saying to you.” That just made my day. She backed up the exact same policy that I gave the member. That made my day!
I worked at a call center for a month, you didn’t have anyone to back you up if a customer started yelling at you. Didn’t train on how to handle that either, they even told us most people would quit under a month. They let me go but I gave it my all, glad I didn’t work there longer.
At the print shop I used to work at, we had a sign behind the counter that said: "Suppose we refund your money, give you another one for free, close the store, and have the manager shot.
Would that be satisfactory?"
It is very sweet to hear managers take no shit and tell unhinged people the exact same thing we've been telling them all along and that they refuse to accept. I'm trying to learn from them. Most times it works.
I worked at a call center for 8 years. Props to those that make it their career!
The stories I have for escalations!
That first girl, I first heard it as gas policy and thought "wtf is a gas policy" lmao. She handled that very well btw. I hope she has a better place now.
As a former customer service rep, she slayed that call! She deserves a raise! Crazy people call in like that all the time and think they will get away with it, no ma’am! Not today! Loved it!
Back in the 1960’s, before my parents were married, my mom had a roommate from hell. The gal was cheating on her husband who was deployed. The gal also had a child with her husband. The woman kept trying to make my mom babysit the child so that she could go out with her boyfriend. She would get mad at my mom if my mom was going somewhere because she had plans and expected my mom to babysit (she never asked, always expected). At one point, when the gal was on a date, her in-laws called to talk to her. My mom told them exactly where she was. The gal got mad that my mom ratted her out. Oh well, my mom was planning on moving back home and her brothers were coming to get her and her things. The in-laws came and picked up the child.
I would have told the in-laws exactly where she was too. 👍
I took in a young woman. with a child to help her get on her feet. At first, she didn't have a car so someone in the same class drove her and I would take her child to daycare and pick her up. Well she eventually got a car but still expecting the other person to still pick her up and me Taki g her child to daycare. When both of us said no, you have a car, she became angry. She had not been paying to live here at all either. So she told everyone we both knew that I was the B**** from hell, found someone else to move in with, left her room full of trash and a $500 phone bill. Some people just have no sense.
The gal never told my mom where the boyfriend lived nor where they were going for that reason. But, my mom knew the gal pretty well and it was a small town. Only a few places she could go if they stayed in town. But mom was pretty sure that they went to the next town closest.
@@PeanutsMommy I would’ve told everything to the _husband_ - cheaters deserve that and more.

I lived with a lady just like this, her basement had a private entrance and a nice kitchen and bathroom, it was actually a cool apartment. But she was going thru my stuff and listening to my conversations with everyone and didnt like guests. I was telling a friend that i felt like i was being spied on and she left a note down there saying that if i was unhappy i could leave but id have to pay a "lease termination fee" and then when i left she harassed me thru text for that made-up fee, even though my rent was all paid up when i left, i had to look up all my legal rights cuz i thought she would try to sue me but it was empty threats
i am not a police officer but the definition of kidnapping is the action of abducting someone and holding them captive. he told her to get out and she is now trespassing.
I mean at that point she kidnapped him 😅
Holding him against his will
This might blow your mind, but you can commit more than one crime at the same time.
Yeah man you are right. If she was so incredibly afraid of her life, the normal human reaction would have been to run. Not to stay in the car. Shes an idiot just trying to get someone in trouble
It is also just holding someone captive. Like physically keeping someone from being able to leave.
She isn't trespassing... their lease ends at a certain time. The 56 year old is abusing her privilege... you can CLEARLY hear the older bitch running out of shit to say...she lost. And she KNOWS IT!! If there is NO PROOF OF TERMS, then the landlord has nothing. She has no right to treat her tenant like shit when there is no documents stating terms. The landlord is WRONG
Regarding the Subway issue, as many people say they should have informed of the lack of sandwiches instead of just making a substitution. I think what the OP was saying is that it had absolutely nothing to do with her, so it was ridiculous that the woman was getting angry with her.
As someone who works at a call center I resonate with her calmness I get paid the same to read you the policy regardless of you being angry I’ll do my best bc that’s what they pay me for lol
I work at a restaurant, which has a branch chain all around the USA. Get a call from a lady who wants the grilled cheese meal with one side. That side, she wanted to replace/substitute the french fries for our onion rings. I told her "ma'am, unfortunately, since french fries are not additionally charged, you cannot substitute them with one of our newer menu items. If you order the meal with onion rings, it is an additional $1.29." SHE BLEW UP! She was like "Now, listen here! You are to substitute the fries for the onion rings. I ain't paying that $1.29." in the loudest voice, and keep in mind, this was the hand-held phone that was right against my ear. I told her. "Ma'am, I understand your frustration, but I am not permitted to do substitutions for an item that doesn't have an additional charge with an item that does. It simply cannot be done. If you want onion rings, you can get onion rings, but you'll have to pay that additional $1.29." She was still furious and asked to speak to my manager.
I told my manager about the call, and he told her the exact same thing. She apparently had to be told a total of 5 separate times of what I told her before and when she tried to order the onion rings on the side, which by themselves is $5.99, she blew up and then decided to hang up. Sorry lady, but if you can't afford less than $2 for onion rings, maybe don't order at all.
Two minutes into this video and my blood is boiling. This woman's patience is amazing.
Girl's probably raised to handle conflict - or she's got a lot of practice with debates and dialogues or crazy family 🎉
My old lady ears heard "no gas" policy. Like does she toot to much or use a gas stove? Nope Girl I am deaf.. lmao 🤣🤣🤣 Only took deductive reasoning and finishing the video did I realized it was No guest policy.. Edit: Charlotte Did I tell you how much I just love your videos? They make my day Thank you!!!!
I heard “gas”, too! 🤣
@@caljones Oh thank god LOL I am not the only one. 🥰
I think we all heard gas first LOL
Same gurl!!!
I'm thinking her mental capacity couldn't handle both speech and logic so she failed at both.
People in customer service amaze me at their patience. That's why I try to never lose patience with them either. Just remember that the person on the phone does not set company policy and that they are just doing their job. To the lady having a meltdown over her roommate wanting to have a guest--you can't make rules that prohibit things if you don't have that person on your lease. If you're worried about getting your stuff stolen or something like that, take pictures or video of everything that's yours along with their receipts. Anything truly valuable, keep it locked up in your room in a safe that your roommate doesn't know about. But the roommate is correct that she has rights too and if she's not on the lease, you have no right to make unreasonable demands.
“She isn’t coming to visit you, Sharon!” XD got me rolling
I think the annoying roommate doesn’t want anybody else in the apartment because she hates other people. She needed a roommate for financial reasons, but she’s barely tolerating having one other person in the apartment let alone having guests round.
Could very well be, but it doesn't give her the right to restrict her tenant's rights.
Yeah I've been there, like when the woman filming said "you spend all day in your room" I was thinking, how do you know, you spend all day out and about. I've been the roommate who only comes out when other people are gone. Still not okay to go back on your word and kick someone out because their sister is visiting for less than a week. ('Cause she did get evicted.)
Yeah sounds like she doesn’t get out much either.
As someone who was able to comfortably afford a two bedroom apartment on my own, I made the terrible mistake of not only renting out a room to my best friend, but also agreeing to allow her to pay only a third of the total rent because she was moving out of her parents house at 28. Additionally, I (against my better judgement and my gut feelings) let her convince me that we didn’t need a written roommate contract…
Long story short, we made it about 4 months before shit starting going downhill, and another 3 months before she finally moved out. Needless to say, we are no longer friends.
Happens every time I see or hear of people living with best/close friends. Always choose friends to live with that you wouldn't mind if you end up not friends with.
Do not live with friends 😂😂😂 it NEVER ends well
Took my landlord over a year to get a couple of crackheads out of the apartment. Literal drug using crackheads.
So happy you could get out that situation, mine had to stay for two years under the agreement and the fact that we were both on minimal pay and couldn't afford too. Sucks a lot but you find out how much people really respect you when put in those situations
Yikes
Giiiiiirl! I identify SO much with the second girl, customer service rep. I had calls like this constantly. I will never understand that mentality. Don’t wanna pay for the service rendered but still adamant that the service be performed until such time as they decide they can/want to pay for the service. That’s not how real life works! Get your head outta your butt, it’s not a hat!
It’s not a hat. Love it
My anxiety can't handle this.... but I'm gonna keep watching 😂😂😂😂
"You kidnapped me!" Ma'am he's literally telling you to get out of the car. Its your choice to stay. That's not kidnapping
That last lady was like, "How dare you let me kidnap myself. You should have stopped me from staying in an unlocked, non-moving car. You will be punished for allowing this freedom."
The young lady renting a room will succeed at whatever she sets her mind to. She’s brilliant.
I can't get enough of the moving in the shadows dance 😂😂😂 I crack up every single time!
We all know why Sharon doesn’t have friends or a romantical partner. Girl has issues. Her sister is visiting for 6 days big deal
Poor girl in that awful living situation. I had to deal with something like this and it affected me so deeply mentally. I wish her the best and hope she found her peace!!
It reminds me of the NPD parents a lot. It was actually a bit triggering because they’d do the same gaslight bs this troglodyte is displaying.
My friend used to rent a room all the time. She got so fed up with people coming in coming out bringing people over and messing up her utensils and pans. He finally laughed after four years. I don’t know how she put up with that long. God bless her.
I feel for the first one. I had a similar fight with a previous landlord. They thought I was going to take care of their dogs when we specifically discussed me not taking care of them. Fun how they conveniently forget 🙄
That customer service rep did a beautiful job! A stellar example of maintaining professional conduct on a call.👏
I've never wanted to scream at my phone more. "Get out of the car!!" Imagine the police having to show up and you say She won't get out of my car.
Right? Like that doesnt make ANY sense! He didnt MOVE and you just what? Dont know how to open a car door? Some people literally wtf
@@elisehoyt4107
Yep! Some just are too stupid to live and to stubborn to quit.
That customer service lady was great. I watched the whole conversation. At first I thought it was too frustrating to even watch. Then I thought, she has mastered IDGAF, which I have chased for decades. I should get a CS job. It would be valuable personal growth.
Most apartments typically have clauses that don’t allow visitors/guests to stay beyond a few days (how many days will be advised in the lease). They do this so they have control of who is living on the property. You usually have to get prior authorization before longer visits for special cases and must get authorization to sublet.
If this is an apartment the older lady can’t just randomly take in Tenants on her own anyways because she’s just a renter herself. 😂
I love your channel❤🎉
That first story triggered me. I mean that literally, as I have medically diagnosed CPTSD.
I went through a lot of gaslighting like that for 34 years.
I was so proud of the young lady for the way she stood up to the gaslighting. It took me way too many years to reach that point. I was 40 by that time.
It is now nearly 20 years since I cut my toxic abusers out of my life.
I am still shaking from being triggered, but to see how the young lady handled it, is helping me a lot.
Once I have calmed down, I will have gained a lot from this inspiring young woman.
Sometimes in healing, we have to relive trauma, in the long term it is worth it. I am glad that I saw this video.
I would like to add that I am a Boomer, and I wish to state that as an older person, I recognise that we can learn a lot from younger people. I don’t think that this is something that is heard enough.
I wish you could heal fast 💕
I had to stand up to my ex boyfriend that lived with me. He is a narcissist. It was hard.
@@sherriv4860 Thank you for your kindness.
The reason that it has stayed with me so long, is because it was my mother, then my first wife. I had no period in my life before abuse.
Having said that, I am now 59, and I have come such a long way from where I was.
It is quite possible that I will never fully recover, but I can live with that. I have many coping strategies, and much of the time these days I’m okay, but I do still get triggered sometimes. I have been through a lot of therapy, which has helped so much.
I cut ties with my wife in 1999, and then with my mother and one brother in 2004. Life has improved a lot since then.
After I got the courage to leave my abusive wife, I met another women, and we fell deeply in love. We had the most amazing 18 years together, up until she sadly passed away in 2017. Devastating as that loss has been, it has been worth it, to have shared such quality time with her.
But since then I have gone on to find love a second time, with another wonderful woman. I never expected that.
So even though I have complex PTSD from many years of abuse, I have had much happiness over the last 24 years. Of course there has been sadness too, but I am an optimist and a hopeless romantic. I am so grateful and truly appreciate the positive things in my life.
Life is mostly very good. :)
I had to run from an abuser last October while pregnant and sleep on the street because not one DV shelter would help me. I also have cptsd from many years of trauma and abuse in previous situations so getting stuck with that guy this last time broke me for around 5yrs until being pregnant forced me to leave- no way was I going to allow him to use my baby girl as a pawn in his game to destroy me.
Am still healing, I know how hard it is. That situation also disturbed me, but as you were happy to hear her stand up for herself that way, so was I❤ we are worth standing up and are worth being around people who treat us with respect and love!
Much love to you, and remember you do have control and the right to live a decent life💕
@@OffTheWagons Thank you for sharing your story, I am so sorry that you had to live through that.
Much love to you too, and thank you for your encouragement and inspiration.
I felt the same mild triggering from it, because what I went through was more subtle and there usually was someone else around so it could only go so far. Still, it is kinda validating as someone without a diagnosis that these feelings aren't just me being sensitive.
❤️ So thank you
Yas to the first woman for standing up for herself! ❤
Something similar to 15:44 happened to my husband. She did that because she was a drug addict and it would give her access to victim benefits. She was getting evicted from her appartement because she didn’t pay rent. My husband had also filmed the whole thing and it helped him a lot. I feel like this is what this lady is doing.
The woman working from home was so impressive. I've been in her shoes and I really struggled finding nice words.
Guys, PLEASE, if you rent a room ALWAYS have your agreements on paper. If the landlord does not know of your presence in that apartment, they can not do anything for you. Make sure before you even set foot into that apartment everything is signed and the landlord knows about you.
Right. And honestly that girl is lucky the super was cool. Many times the super would probably be like. Um. Yeah get out. You are not supposed to be there in the first place
That customer service rep was AWESOME. I don't know how she remained so calm and professional.
As someone who worked in high contact retail for a while, I was blown away by how well she handled it.
@@johanaklaudyova8764Same. Bills are the same no matter who they're from, but people still like to play dumb, even after paying bills for YEARS!!
I have unfortunately learned from first-hand experience that in a number of locations many common tenant protections go out the window if you are renting a room in someone's house where the owner/landlord lives in the same residence as compared to when the landlord does not live in the residence you are occupying.
I've lived with roommates in a shared home. It was her home. She was allowed to have her boyfriend spend multiple nights (almost like he was living there) and her sister stayed with us when she came to visit. She even had a friend move in for free. Yet I couldn't have anyone over, let alone let someone spend the night. Glad to not have to deal with that anymore.
Yaaa for the subway one, they should have asked if she wanted a different sandwich or give her a refund, its not just about a sandwhich its about her paying money for a product she thought she would get and getting something she didnt order with no contact
they arent allowed to contact the customer by phone if it isnt a door dash order so she couldnt do that plus she wasnt even there when the order was placed or picked up
Okay, so just give her the refund on the item that she couldn't get instead of replacing it without her knowing what was going on. The customer was way out of line and rude, but the employees were wrong too, so
@@nicolerivera7106How a refund works at Subway is it cancels the whole order including all sides. The manager has to approve as well. To cancel a whole order for one sandwich is actually not the best option. As for the number no, half the time it doesn't show the phone number of the person. I can't tell you how many times another person has come to pick for a person who wasn't the name on the receipt.
The problem is that the customer failed to see that was a corporate issue and policy and the worker had no control over the situation because her hands were tied. I used to have that issue when ordering from a mobile app. If they didn’t have it, they couldn’t issue a refund so I’d have to get something else.
Sure, that may be the case. But nothing ever excuses piss poor behaviour like this. Over a sandwich nonetheless.
“Why have company if you don’t want company?”
Exactly right. Why would you rent your space if you aren’t interested in having a roommate? It’s definitely mean and unnecessary to try and ban her from having her own sister stay over.
Bc she needed the rent money is my guess!
She wanted to show her power
I’ve had my share of entitled people when I used to work in retail. I used to do little personalized items by hand which included putting names and designs on piggy banks. A lady had come in and ordered a bank with the name “Emily” on it and had asked if anyone else had ordered something similar to this in the last week. She was going to a baby shower from what I understood. Anyway I told her that I hadn’t done a bank with that name lately but the name Emily is pretty common but I had a good memory of things like this.
A week later I had the “pleasure” 🙄 of answering the phone at work one day and it was this same lady with a complaint. Here’s the conversation I had with her:
Customer: “ Um hi… I had a bank with the name Emily on it that someone had painted for me last week.”😒
Me: “Oh okay.”
Customer: “Well I have a complaint. I was at the baby shower and I was highly embarrassed to find out that someone else had a bank with the name Emily on it, too. You told me that no one had bought a bank with the name Emily on it in the past week. I’m sooooooo disappointed. You need to keep records on the things you paint on so this doesn’t happen again. Emily isn’t a common name so….” 🤨😩
Me: “Well I’m sorry ma’am but we don’t keep records on the things that we paint on. And yes, the name Emily is a common name but I had told you that I hadn’t done a bank with that name on it HERE in the past few weeks. Do you think that maybe the other person who gifted the other Emily bank might have purchased it somewhere else?” 😌😁
Customer: *dead silence*😳😒
Me: “One of us can take the name off of it if you decide to bring it back.”😁
Customer: “Well…. uhhhh… you should really keep a record of the things you paint on.” 😕😒
Me: “Okay have a good day!” 😌😁
What a nut job. My boss was like, “Who the hell was that?” After I told her about the crazy conversation I had, she responds with an eye roll saying, “Oh good Lord! People like her need to get a life. Obviously she had nothing else to do today.”
Last clip "how are you not embarrassed!"
When dealing with _ANY_ flavor of narcissist and/or gaslighter, *ALWAYS RECORD YOUR DISCUSSIONS AND KEEP THE TEXTS AS PROOF!!!* Doesn't matter who they are to you; a relative (because @$$holes like that aren't family), a "friend", co-worker, boss, or whatever. Always have and keep records and evidence, to make sure they can't talk you into a corner or lie to everyone around you and twist the narrative.
Absolutely agree, I can't tell you how many conversations i have saved from situations like this. but make sure to check the laws in your state! Here in Indiana, we are what is call a one party consent state. That means as long as one person being recorded consents, it is legal AND admissible in court. There are two party states where everyone being recorded must consent and it can be illegal to do so with out it. The biggest caveat is if you are in a place with no expectation of privacy, which is basically free reign at that point
@@scmontgomeryTrue; knowing your local laws can be crucial, but even if a recording isn't legally admissible as evidence, it can still be used to keep the narc from twisting everything and making themselves the victim.
In places where two-party consent is required, often just having your cell phone out can be legally interpreted as 'I'm going to record this; are you ok with that?' and if they don't outright say that they do not consent to being recorded, it's taken as implicit consent. That can be a legal loophole that can absolutely save your bacon.
@@alexisgrunden1556 that's some solid info. Always protect yourself first, because 11/10 times you will be the only one doing so. Theses nothing quite as satisfying as pulling out your phone and loudly playing a gaslighter's real words to undermine the lies
Yes. I lived with my ex bf for a year. He was a narcissist. I had no proof and he would say I had an attitude and I gaslit him.
He didn't want to leave, so I had to force him. (I gave him a month and half to get some money).
So my neighbors helped me kick him out.
When the neighbors told me that he belittled me... Disrespected me... Never let me talk .. and I had to deal with that for a year...
the reality hit me. I was hurt and cried....
The first video: it took a bit before I understood they said "guests". I thought they said "gas". I was like; she's not allowed to fart? 😂😂😂
The subway story made me laugh. It's crazy because Door Dash would have given her a full refund if she sent a photo of the sandwich order being incorrect. 99.9% of the time they will refund you no questions asked lol
It wasnt door dashed
5:25 In Germany, the law is you can have someone stay up to two weeks without even having to announce it. We do have very good tenant rights though! (Obv you normally do announce it out of courtesy)
I rented a room at the house of an older lady when I started university and I would never do it again. we had an agreement that I could use the kitchen, but she was always sitting there and wanted to talk every night for hours, so I used to buy myself pizza and just eat it in bed. In all fairness I did break the rule there, as we agreed that I could not eat in my room, but I just couldn't sit there with her every evening and listen to her problems. I moved out as soon as I could, which made her very angry for some reason.
Good lord, you had enough stress with keeping up on your studies. That would be a nightmare, although I can understand that perhaps you were a lifeline to her if she didn't have other people to talk to. But still, that wasn't your problem.
Maybe I am a different kinda of Seasoned Lady but I've always shared spaces with younger people and it always worked out awesome!
I don't know why but I always seem to mesh with Younger People!
OMG, sounds like roommates I had after I graduated. Her and her husband (both between 57-70 y/o) would talk to me about their relationship problems for hours. I felt bad not giving them an outlet, but it was miserable. I just wanted to cook, eat, and escape to my room, not play therapist for people twice-thrice my age.
She just wanted the rent money and an ear she could pour her problems into.
For real, having to chait chat is the worst. I almost had heatvstroke cuz being in the cool off trailer ment having to chat with the job sup... apparently id rather die. Lmao.
I held my breath through the whole sister coming over argument. It RATTLED me. I am usually the girl filming. I get set up with the most TOXIC people. I am too nice. Poor girl, I'm glad she is sticking up for herself!
I’ve worked at a call center for sprint in 2017-2018, I know how the call representative feels. I’ve had that multiple multiple times too lol. I applaud her, she did such a great call for that situation
I've worked with customer service before and that interaction was so similar and so common to my calls literally telling them that my supervisor will tell the the same thing.
When I bought my first apartment, I rented out the 2nd bedroom to a great tenant. It turned out his mom worked for the head office of the company I worked for. I found out the day he moved in. His mom was thrilled when we called her. She told her son that I was the head of the team that was named the "A team" at head office. It doesn't get better than that.
That's cute
Customer service of any kind requires a mental strength that is on level with a super hero, man. I have worked four and a half years in a deli inside a department/grocery store. I've reached my limit with the general public. I switched to a department where the only contact I will have with the public is whenever I'm out front walking to the bathroom and a customer stops me to ask where something is which I can definitely handle. That's it. I'm over these people. You would think grown adults would know how to act. Tired of dealing with five year olds in adult bodies.
I worked 15 years in a customer service call center for the local phone company, then 15 year as a bookseller then department manager at Barnes and Noble. And I can verify some customers are off their rockers. I loved my jobs and co-workers, but there were days I never wanted to go back again. Thankfully am now out of the work force and can just watch others deal with the crazies.
I have almost 10 years in retail. And it is a battle every day. I did 4 years in deli and had to get out. You meet all sorts working in retail. I do have some contact with people but it is usually when I am on the floor stocking and they want to know where something is. Most of the time I am in the backroom. So that is great!
I feel like customer service in the food/drink industry is especially trying… the last customer service job I had was as a manager of Starbucks in a very busy airport… these people had just waited in a long security line, been frisked & forced to throw away their $200 perfume because it was over the 3oz limit, AND they’re all trying to get their coffee at 4am before their flights…basically just already angry & hating life by the time they got to the counter. Suffice to say, that was also my LAST customer service job 😅
@@ktwhimsy6946 Yikes. I am currently in the process of trying to get out of customer service. So far with no luck. Small Towns suck sometimes. But hopefully soon.
The fact people would look for furnace repair/cleanings but when my husband would call the people to set up a quote, the gave him death threats. Is someone calling about a furnace cleaning really worth screaming and death threats? Customer Service is full of crazy.
That late fee video, oh my gosh I feel this in my bones. I work at home doing this. Lol

My daughter rented a room from a woman who first said she could have friends over, then after moving in changed her mind and said no guests at all. Not even to just hang out for an hour. My daughter didn’t argue like this person, my daughter moved out. She only lasted 2 months.
What part of her sister was there to help her move out did you miss 🤦🏽♀️
Hopefully they reported it.
When my mom was younger, she used to work in customer service & thinks everyone should because of the experience those who work or have worked in it have.
With regard to the wrong sandwich, it seems odd that the store would not inform the customer that they were out of the ingredients for what she ordered and give her a choice of what to substitute. They shouldn't just make that choice on their own.
We don't know that they didn't inform the son. Maybe he okayed the substitution? If that was my mum and she got that mad about it, I probably wouldn't admit to it. And the worker wasn't there so we may never know.
They usually don’t, they usually wait until the customer is there to get the okay if there’s no mobile number attached. I’ve had multiple times where I’ve had a mobile order need a substitute and have never just been blindsided by a random sandwich I didn’t ask for. Chances are the son gave the okay and didn’t want to deal with the moms wrath. On the off chance he wasn’t, she was provided options such as a substitute for the sandwich or to speak with a manager in person for further resolution. Which most refunds needs manager approval so arguing with a teen wasn’t gonna get her what she wanted.
I agree with you because if I ordered a steak sub and I got a meatball sub. I wouldn't be happy either. A meatball sandwich compared to a steak or two completely different things
It's common practice. I order a lot 😅
That happens all the time to me
I guarantee that woman’s son was asked if another meatball would be ok to replace steak and he was like “yeah why not”
“Kim, there are people dying” is the vibe I am getting. 😂
My level of respect for these people that can work with the public and not go to jail is through the roof because it could not be me 😂
To be fair, it is the store's responsibility to contact the customer to let them know if they are out of a specific thing that was ordered unless it was specified somewhere that the store can sub if needed. Generally when something is out of stock you have to call the customer so they can decide what they want instead. You don't just give them a duplicate of something else they ordered without telling them
No. The employee at the store very clearly stated that they are not allowed to call customer's unless it's a Doordash order. Very clearly.
Not necessarily, if you're ordering online they often have the option to substitute for everything. This is automatically selected, you have unselect for each object. It's very irritating! This can be true for groceries, non grocery stores etc., just make certain to ck.
@@azariazulu Yes, while it makes sense to call the customer to advise them their item is out stock, I absolutely believe the staff was told not to do so. That's then a policy issue the customer should take up with the manager. Hollering at the employee (who apparently had nothing to do with your order) is not going to solve anything. The employee explained the issue and offered to replace the sandwich. Not sure what the customer expected beyond that. She can request a call back from the manager and/or call again to reach the manager.
@@ering2467yeah but they don't always pick up or answer the texts from DD so we have to choose for them.

I once had this issue. I still did what I wanted and I knew she would change the locks. I kept a copy of my lease with me and when I can back I found my locks changed. I called the cops after I had to break the door to get in. She had to pay for the door and locks and was asked to move.

This is why it’s really important to choose the right roommate and agree on house rules from the jump. I had a roommate and we both *mutually agreed* to not have guests, overnight or otherwise, unless both of us were present-and we did it for safety reasons. We’d both been burned by former roommates’ friends/boyfriends before, stealing stuff and being inappropriate.
