John Rutter's Candlelight Carol has become one of the most popular, modern Christmas carols. The vocal qualities of the music have been transferred to the voice of the cornet here. Originally arranged for cornet virtuoso David Daws, the solo has become a popular staple of the Christmas cornet repertoire.
It is here performed by Chris Martin (New York Philharmonic Principal Trumpet) with the New York Staff Band.
