Nice set of knives right there. The more and more I see that V44X the more and more I love it. Gonna have to try and get one the next time they drop. Looking forward to the showdown!!
I had my own version of this a while back. I was very suprised which ones did best. My kabar big brother was one of the best choppers for me and I never would have thought that was remotely possible.
Good selection of big blades. I'm looking forward to your end results. However, i would like to see how a Bark River crusader or 1909 Michigan Bowie would stand up to those in your test group.
@@timthomas2075 their models looks cool but I don’t like how polished/smooth their handles are. Also over the years and having owned some myself I’ve seen some QC issues from them. That said I know a lot of people who loves their BRKs so there’s that. I just haven’t had the best luck with them personally
6:09 It is very interesting to me that the BK9 is included, but not the Cold Steel Trail Master! The Trail Master weighs pretty much the same but uses much thicker steel ( 5/16ths or 8mm) than the BK9 (3/16). Another big advantage is that the centre of gravity is much more forward than the BK9, which makes it slightly blade heavy and great for chopping. However, when one picks it up (even for someone with quite a small hand like mine) one is immediately struck by the amazing balance to the knife. My version is the San Mai III and convex grind, which makes for a very robust edge. With its finer point geometry the Trail Master is ideally suited for penetration and for finer cutting at the tip edge. The handle is very grippy, even when very wet, so safety is ensured. In my opinion, the Trail Master has to be one of the best 9-10 inch blade knives out there! So, how come it doesn't rate a mention?
I start off the video series by saying these are large knives that I have. I think the Trail Master would be a pretty good knife in this series. I just don’t own a trail masters and I don’t have a lot of money nor is knife companies giving me knives like crazy
Never get tired of seeing that WT V44X!
Me either!!
I’m ready!!!!!!
Me too

Hello again, Mr. Gabriel. 🙂
I like the looks of that Bolo styled one. I figure if you are going big might as well move more into the machete relm.
There is a lot of variables there. A lot of these can be used like a machete
Looking forward to it👍👍👍.🇺🇲🔪🔥🌲

Be cool but I don’t own any bark rivers. I’ve never really cared for them honestly
@@thelasthuntsmanoutdoors can you explain why, please?
I have a Crusader and it's an all around beast.

What will win?...Speed and/or Precision, or Brut Force/Knock-Out Power...
I always find a balance usually wins
Let the Heavy Weight Championship begin...
👍 go big or stay home....
👍👍
Trailmaster didn’t make the cut? 😧
Definitely not up against those knives
I think the trail master would’ve done great, I wished I had one but done
