- »Time is valuable for any busy parent- there never seems to be enough of it! Self Care (as a busy mum) probably may be at the bottom of your to-do list... but that quickly catches up to you.
It's not selfish to make yourself a priority too. Self care HAS to be a priority- it's the only way to survive with any semblance of sanity. Self-care is relative and different for everyone but here's how I'm multitasking my chosen self care while my toddler is napping. Every day looks different- but I'm intentionally making the time for my prioritized self care time in some way, every singe day.

I’m pregnant with my third and currently working full time in healthcare. I find myself not doing almost anything for myself or things that used to bring me joy anymore. It’s hard to find that balance of work, family and YOU. These kind of videos are a wonderful reminder that there’s simple things you can do to make yourself feel taken care of. Thank you💕
As a new mom, I needed this reminder to do something for myself during naptime instead of rushing to do chores. Thanks for sharing 💜
Thanks for watching Paige!
There's always going to be more chores lol. May as well make some uninterrupted time for you, so you fill your cup beforehand! I know it's faster and often easier to do certain chores without a baby around, but I've really found that if you include them with what you're doing, they know it's just a part of the routine. The house doesn't magically take care of itself - we all pitch in. Rest and recharge while you can
Proud of you 👏🏼 taking care of yourself as a mom is HARD but so damn important. I have my second on the way and you’re inspiring me to remember to prioritize myself so I gave five back fully to my children.
** Self-care is relative and different for everyone - What do you like to do for yourself?
I take a bath and try to relax but I can hear him in the next room crying for me. He acts like the cord is still attached 🤣🤣🤣
I don't have children but I do need time off from my needy cats. I close myself in the bedroom, do a bit of NSDR, some breathing. I know that cold plunges or cold showers are so good for you but I'm too weak for it mentally. I wish I could pour cold water over myself but I have a physical block, can't move my hand over my bod haha.
Napping, reading, doing workout.. if only my kids sleep that long or at least the same amount everyday... It's vary from 20min to 1h30...
I definitely needed this as a reminder to take time for myself sometimes, as you can’t pour from an empty cup. Goldie is the cutest!
It’s so lovely to see one of your videos pop up again. Hope you are all doing well, I can’t believe how much Goldie has grown since we saw her last. I try and meditate every night before bed and now I feel like I’ve programmed it into my mind. I never forget to do it
You are soo brave to go in there 🥶! I could never . If there's one thing I hate is being cold. I won't even wash my hands with cold water lol. Great video btw. I also do my self care daily while my baby naps. Love it.
Thank you for unknowingly convincing me to do my skincare today that I was planning on skipping! Love this video and super interested in the Bon Charge!
Ahhh!!! Goldie is the most beautiful combination of you and Glen. What a blessed family you have 🙏❤️
It's so good to see you!
i have a 4 year old and my self care is taking showers nowadays and having uninterrupted phone time😅
Hey some days it looks like that! :) Still a win to make time for yourself
Adore this video!!!!!!
I love Jason Stephenson meditations, his voice is so calming
I don't know why, but I'd never considered making my own ice bath in my tub at home. Thanks for the idea Karissa!!
It works well! Easier to get the temp down in cold weather/ not as easy in summer months 😂💗
Short Stack! What a blast from the past
If you have an enclosed space where the child won't hurt themselves I recommend meditating in view of the child. A great way to model mindfulness and self care. I try to do as much self care in front of my kid as possible. They get into it too :)
We often do :) you can see a snipit of Glen’s meditation practice while holding Goldie in our newborn video. She sits and does big deep belly breaths with us, it’s pretty neat 🥰💗
I really enjoyed this video, thanks 😊 x
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching ❤
Sorry 3 seconds in and I see you are wearing a short stack sweatshirt 😭 brings back memories I love it x
Omg top from supre, love that 😂
I love that you use chapters in your video btw. just noticed that.
💞
What rosemary oil do you use?
So many videos all at once - I love it❤
Question, could I reverse the cold and heat? Like do the cold plunge then do the sauna?
You want your body to naturally warm up afterwards! You don’t want to rush that 💗
@@KarissaPukas ahhh okay good to know, I’ll keep it sauna blanket then cold plunge. Thank you!
What rosemary oil do you use? Looking for a good One 😉
I just found one on Amazon!
Loved the cute mom content at the end 🥺❤
You are such a badass with that cold plunge! Did you work your way up to four minutes? Goldie is the sweetest soul! 🥹🥹🥹 That smile ✨✨✨ So nice to see Lola 🌻🌻🌻🌻
Thanks Sara!! No! hahaha actually, the first time I did it at home, Glen dared me to do 5 min so I did out of sheer stubbornness lol. I think 4-5 min is the sweet spot for me for this temp, but if it was cold cold (like winter lake water) I'd do maybe ~1-2 min to start.
Longing to be a mom so bad. I’ve had 2 losses in the past 4 months. Been focusing on self care these days too.
Sending baby dust your way
Every one I know and my self have a sauna and a hot tub. Also coming from someone who went to medical school none of this is proven to do anything but if you believe it helps good for you.
Lucky! I hope more people discover how awesome they are :) There's actually quite a few studies that have been done showing positive benefits to saunas- Mayo Clinic or NIH is a great resource to look them up. Regarding cold therapy, Wim Hoff has been a part of several studies definitively proving the benefits of cold exposure- worth a read :)
I have had perfect skin my whole life I just bar soap and lotion never have a problem. Never use sunscreen. Also never worn deodorant lol. I don’t sweat and no one has ever told me I smell even after a work out I have asked friends even my husband to smell my pits nothing
**waves back to Goldie** 🥺🥺😭😭😭
Mini Glen is so adorable 💕😂
Not sure if this is the right place for these questions, but nevertheless I'm doing it (feeling rebellious today):
Have you ever heard about the Rambam diet? (it's actually more of a lifestyle then purely a diet). I was reading a lot about it lately and was wondering if you have experience with it or heard of it?
In particular because I read many reviews that it drastically helps improve your skin, nails, weight loss (which I don't think you need btw) and other general health issues. It focusses on a healthy relationship between mind and body, food and exercise. Not necessarily what you eat but more how, when and in what ways and combinations.
Since I know you have struggled with some of these things (I think mostly skin) I wondered if you know of it?
I am considering trying it myself but want to know more about it first.
My apologies if I am very bold. Like I said, not sure this is the right place for these questions. But appreciate your thoughts and ideas on self care topics :)
🙏🧘
You're such a beautiful and natural Mum ❤️. Would love to see a video on your parenting style!
Hello ❤❤❤
Greetings Friend! Self care helps the day bringing the strength to show up as our most selves! Cool how wellness helps! Hoping life is well these days it’s been a while the leaves feel pretty lovely 😊
Isn't that the truth
another random question:
As a fellow Star Wars fan, do you also enjoy all the new content that Disney is producing? (especially The Mandalorian!)
😁🤭

Hi , I want to learn English from your nice videos may I know is this Australian accent?
Hey! My husband is Australian, but I am Canadian 💗
@@KarissaPukas good luck 💯👌
Omg cold bath! You are hardcore
It makes you feel so good after!!!
@@KarissaPukas Goldie is so sweet as well. I remember crying watching your birth video and now look how big she is!
I feel like a sauna blanket is also unrealistic, it's cool but 1k is really expensive.
I guess it depends on your priorities and budget! Everyone’s going to be different with that. For example- I don’t have my own car- it wasn’t a priority for us having a second. For many families it’s a major priority ☺️ ever since my explant, I’ve spent my money on therapeutic modalities to help my body recover. When it’s a priority, you likely will find the budget for it.
@Karissa Pukas i get that, but we don't have one single car. If you make something a priority you're more likley to achieve it but the majority of people this is out of reach.
@@merrimankaylynn not everything I show or speak about will be a fit for every viewer 💗 Thanks for the feedback & for watching 💗
So glad your potty training. No child should be in diapers or pull-ups after 2 I had my son good to go at 15 months
We've been doing elimination communication since she was 4 months old! We're about 75% successful catching on the potty- it's been incredible seeing her start to recognize her needs and tell us at such an early age.
