As far as vlogs go you definitely don’t have to show your daughter. There are tons of influencers that don’t show their kids (or just their faces) at all on camera. I think it’s whatever you’re comfortable with! But I would love to see a day in the life with you and your lil girl ❤

I love this video Karissa. I totally agree with you regarding introducing sign language. By 10 months my daughter was using 5 signs. Now at 2.5 years old we are constantly told by professionals including educators and speechies that her language skills are so advanced, her vocabulary is very sophisticated and i truly think it is because we introduced auslan at an early age (my husband and i also speak different languages apart from english). I feel like all your opinions/thoughts shared here really reflect my own id love to be friends in real life haha love from the Inner West of Sydney ❤️

Totally agree with wanting what you want for your child. I did so much research, and didn’t want people to spend their hard earned money on something I simply wouldn’t use. Especially for things that go on her skin or in her body. So, no you don’t sound ungrateful, but for those of us that research all the things, it can be very wasteful and id rather have things that she actually will use.

I was super sick and tired in my first pregnancy, and basically not at all in my second. I was breastfeeding my first up until I was about 16 weeks pregnant.

I’m happy to hear that you are protecting your child by vaccination. But afterwards you say that this is an individual choice and I think it’s important to say that it is not an individual choice. By vaccinating your child you also protect other children from being infected and it’s a social and solidarity choice to get vaccinated.

I know I shouldn’t comment on appearances either way but I just want to say I like seeing your more natural face (Deans Botox and filler)! I like seeing faces that move and people who don’t look like carbon copies of each other. I think as a society who consumes a lot of media, social and otherwise, we a have grown so accustomed to seeing frozen filled faces that we forget what a natural face looks like, and when we see them, it can be shocking! You do you, obviously your body your choice !! But just want to say that you look great with and without Botox
Overall I loved this but… “I don’t understand why someone would wait to introduce potty training…” Because daycares typically don’t do ec, some kids have delayed speech/communication, different kids take to different things at different times, etc.
Obviously I'm referring to neurotypical children who have families who are able to do so :) I can't disclaim every thing I say. Delayed speech really doesn't play into it, there's plenty of families who have children who are and still are successful, and many day cares are also on board. You also could do when the child isn't in daycare :) (I am a part of multiple EC groups online where it's talked about often- there's always a way to meet a need). It's obviously not right for every family (as I said in the video, nothing is) but I can't imagine why one would wait if they had a choice :)
I am baffled by the neighbor situation. You don’t seem to be an unreasonable person, and you realize sh!t happens with a construction site. So that’s annoying, and unfortunate but at the same time maybe unavoidable…? However, I can’t for the life of me believe that they got their yard manicured and looking beautiful … so clearly they see the value in it, but they didn’t fix yours at the same time? That’s a literal slap in your face. And as awkward as it is, it sounds like you’ve given a SUBSTANTIAL amount of time for them to correct it, and at this point they’re just being rude and they’re very lucky that you don’t feel like, nor want to have the awkwardness to sue them. What an awful position to have been put it. Apologies and hope it’s fixed asap.
Also, at this point I think I would have a conversation with them saying you expect them to hire someone to begin the work within the next two weeks (I mean, hell summer is already over - at least where I am) or you’re going to hire your own company and bill them. There is no reason that you should have to look at the beautiful work you’ve put into your house and paid for, ruined. I know you have more important things on the brain and are trying to live a happy and peaceful life… but I simply cannot get over that they had theirs done and didn’t correct yours at the same time - or if they couldn’t afford both, they should have corrected yours FIRST! Ugh. And partially fixed, isn’t good enough, so I hope they hurry this process along!
The change month to month is pretty drastic, that's why people say age in months up until around 2. Don't be "that" person that tries to tell a parent what they should do ;)

As an Australian about to have a baby, can confirm no longer $30-40 a day. Think it’s about $150-200 a day depending on your income. So sad 😅

I’m happy to hear that you are protecting your child by vaccination. But afterwards you say that this is an individual choice and I think it’s important to say that it is not an individual choice. By vaccinating your child you also protect other children from being infected and it’s a social and solidarity choice to get vaccinated.
I think so too- hence why I said I understand why we do it as public communities - but it’s not up to me to make that judgement publicly on others decision 🤍

Because daycares typically don’t do ec, some kids have delayed speech/communication, different kids take to different things at different times, etc.
Obviously I'm referring to neurotypical children who have families who are able to do so :) I can't disclaim every thing I say. Delayed speech really doesn't play into it, there's plenty of families who have children who are and still are successful, and many day cares are also on board. You also could do when the child isn't in daycare :) (I am a part of multiple EC groups online where it's talked about often- there's always a way to meet a need). It's obviously not right for every family (as I said in the video, nothing is) but I can't imagine why one would wait if they had a choice :)

I am baffled by the neighbor situation. You don’t seem to be an unreasonable person, and you realize sh!t happens with a construction site. So that’s annoying, and unfortunate but at the same time maybe unavoidable…? However, I can’t for the life of me believe that they got their yard manicured and looking beautiful … so clearly they see the value in it, but they didn’t fix yours at the same time? That’s a literal slap in your face. And as awkward as it is, it sounds like you’ve given a SUBSTANTIAL amount of time for them to correct it, and at this point they’re just being rude and they’re very lucky that you don’t feel like, nor want to have the awkwardness to sue them. What an awful position to have been put it. Apologies and hope it’s fixed asap.
Also, at this point I think I would have a conversation with them saying you expect them to hire someone to begin the work within the next two weeks (I mean, hell summer is already over - at least where I am) or you’re going to hire your own company and bill them. There is no reason that you should have to look at the beautiful work you’ve put into your house and paid for, ruined. I know you have more important things on the brain and are trying to live a happy and peaceful life… but I simply cannot get over that they had theirs done and didn’t correct yours at the same time - or if they couldn’t afford both, they should have corrected yours FIRST! Ugh. And partially fixed, isn’t good enough, so I hope they hurry this process along!
