    i might be old fassion but i still use old style manually in gimp hehe :D
    to expensive for me but i do love the substance program :)
    my workflow is 3dsmax and gimp :D

      Haha, it's whatever works for you! Substance just makes the iteration for PBR, really fast! :)

    I've just downloaded substance painter.. Any change of going the basics, I've imported an FBX that was grey..but I couldn't paint on it lol.

    Why not just create a cavity map for the holes? That way light will definitely not reflect on the surface.

      Honestly, I've never created one myself so I have no idea what the process is like. Is it as quick and easy as this method?

      @@SpeedTutor I would just create a new user channel and call it cavity. It works similarly to an AO map, so black is shadow a white is where light can reflect.
