Nice video, thanks! My son just started as an electrical lineman about 4 months ago and worked his first snow storm a couple of weeks ago. You guys are heroes and I’m very proud of him for making that his career! I’ve always used SnoSeal and never heard of Kenetrek. You should treat one boot with each and then give us a comparison on how well each holds up. That would be the real test.
Hey man! Thanks for the kind comment. Tell your son to stick with it, line work has been good to me and my family and there are many routes a person go down once he gets some experience. I should do that! That’d be a great comparison.
I’m sure he’ll stick with it. He gets home Thursday evening and can’t wait to get back to work Monday morning. He absolutely loves it! He loves what he does and the guys he works with. He went to school in South Carolina, Conway to be exact. Is it correct to assume you are in Virginia as a “blue ridge” hunter? @@blueridgehunters
Sounds like he has it going on! I’m the same way as your son, I’m thick with the guys I work with. We hangout on weekends, hunt together and I was even able to be a wedding officiant and marry one of them this past summer. Yes sir, in a small town called Abingdon in the southwest corner of Virginia near Tennessee. Also, I just filmed a video tonight of the two boot waxes side by side. I’ll be wearing the boots the rest of the week to see how they hold up and then I’ll finish the video this weekend. Thanks for the idea!
Do you work for a co-op or investor owned utility? I retired from a Co-op in Pennsylvania last March. No, I wasn’t a lineman…. I started out as a programmer, moved up to the head of our IT department and then retired as the Dir. of Member Services. 31 years total. @@blueridgehunters
My daughters roommate at Liberty University lives in a town 30 minutes from you. She hasn’t responded with the name, I’ll let you know when she does. Small world…. @@blueridgehunters
Was looking at this today. Sno-Seal is still 50% the cost than Kenetrek. For the amount I will use, and how fast I will go through it, I cannot justify the cost of the Kenetrek
Glad to see a review on something different from snow seal. Thanks for sharing. I subscribed
