I think they sourced out some work to the AMF factories and the frames stayed CWC but I could be off. I have a '51 EV convert and a '52 stock Roadmaster and a Columbia Fire Arrow '67 that looks like late 50's maybe check date at CABE site.
I've noticed about to see post now if one was to take the seat off the bike that seat post may have a long Bolt from the top of the seat post and I believe that seatpost can be adjusted from the long bolt on the very top of the post that goes down the entire length of the seat post inside and I believe it works on the same principle as the gooseneck with a wedge down inside the seat post tube I believe this was an attempt to make it really streamline without the seatpost clamp on most bikes you'll see.
I have an AMF roadmaster and there is a book-tray over the rear fender instead of two pieces of steel, like you have Mine also has a speedometer It’s red white and blue
just got a 1960 AMF RoadMaster Sky Rider it looks just like yours mine also has the star sproket like yours and the same type of tank i got the headlight for mine it still works anyways you need to stay classic with it don't put new aged crap on it put some white walled tires on it leave that old bike rake on it and find someone that knows how to paint it well and get it back to it's red color that it's supposed to be and leave it alone it's called bring back the past not making the past better otherwise good bike dude
I own an AMF Roadmaster Nimble bike. I love old bikes.
