Great advice, Julia! My husband is 39 and he has just decided to completely switch his career. I totally support his decision, and I'm proud of him. It won't be easy, he does have to go back to school, but the Union he's entering will pay for it. I'm excited, because it's definitely going to make our lives a lot better and easier in the long run.

The not knowing wtf to do in life is ACTUALLY me. I am so lost, I gave so much time and energy in high school to the idea that I would pursue a computer science degree in college. I tell everyone I’m majoring in computer science, but I am in my second semester and I can’t do it anymore. It makes me so miserable, and I feel embarrassed and like a lost failure, yet I feel happier in this state than I was in the course. I’m behind on course credits because I waited so long to drop and picking up another course a month in is kinda impossible and I don’t know what the end will bring college wise, but I know that I need to be passionate about whatever I study. I love the advice you gave❤️

Do you include babysitting as a job on your resume or no? I’m always so torn if it should be included or if it’s not a “real” job.
megan I would split up your work experience into different categories. For example if you want an event planning job but you also were a hostess I would put “planning experience” and list related experience and have another category titled “customer service experience” that’s where I’d put the hostess job and anything else that’s RECENT and unrelated to planning.
I have learned to put Job exp. that are relevant for the Job. For ex., If you are after a Job that needs skills that you got with babysitting, I would mention it. Aand, you can not put it on the resumee but you can mention it in person and say what you have learned from it or to show that you were working at that period :)
