There were 3 RadioShack DC comics starring the Whiz Kids Alex and I think the girl's name was Shanna they crossed over with Superman in the first one, Superman and Supergirl in the second, and Superman and Wonder Woman in the third. They taught the history of the computer from the 1940's to the beginning of the personal computer contemporary at that time. Have you ever read them? Could you do a show on them. There was another Whiz Kids comic only through RadioShack I think. It just had them in it with no super heroes😢 in it. No DC bullet on the cover. The stories were entertaining.

At least the comics kept true to the character as a whole...that movie, though possibly the most ridiculous thing I ever enjoyed watching on a loop, took liberties so broad it loops through parody and becomes serious, or as serious as the genre it itself is parodying *as part of that genre.* I have a friend who works for the Daytime Emmys and I asked her, at the time it came out, if she thought it could be nominated and the only disqualifying aspect was its length, I believe it either without credits was too short and with credits might be too long...and they actually left the door open for a sequel, which makes me laugh and cringe at the same time LMAO

And i think that makes most sense with Superman character. Im not sure how the "man of tomorrow" tagline started, but nowadays its mostly about how he shows humanity the way towards a better tomorrow. He dosent lead us there, he signals the way and hopes we go forward ourselves. And he will protect us along the way. So Superman dosent activally moves towards the future, he just hopes for it to come. Similary, Bizarro shouldnt activally be moving backwards to be his oposite. The proper oposite would be to not move at all. Cause he dosent wants to move. He lives in the present to tye extreme and refuses to sought any other way. Hence, being the "man of the present".

Speaking of clever KFC marketing: Back in 2017 they changed their distributor in Britain. Ditching the company that had done it for ages. Putting it out to tender. And naturally they went for the bid that undercut all the others.
Unions warned them that getting rid of people who had done it for a long time and knew what they were doing, in favour of someone who had no experience but just promised to do it cheap was all going go wrong.
But they went ahead and did it.
And within days, KFCs all over had run out of supplies.
KFC put out a full page ad in newpapers which contained a long apology, and at the top had a picture of an empty KFC bucket, underneath the letters: FCK.
    Well it made me laugh.

Some friends of mine used to live in this farm-compound kinda out in the woods near Saginaw, Oregon with a bunch of punks and freaks and metal-heads, and most of them were musical and artistic and they wrote and performed this BRILLIANT DIY Rock Opera called The Kenny Rogers Rock Opera. It was the story of Jesus and Mary Magdalene, except it was Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, and the Devil was Colonel Sanders! It was amazing and was really good enough to have taken on tour or Off-Broadway, but to my knowledge it was only performed once, though it was filmed. The Director of the film, Tim Lewis, was a long time friend, and at the time I was the Night Manager of a small two-screen Art Cinema in Eugene called The Bijou. The Bijou used to be a church and also a mortuary before it became a movie theater, but that's a different story. Tim asked me if I would do an after hours screening of the film for the cast and crew, knowing that I often had after hours screenings with friends, and I agreed, thinking that it was going to be like 20 people. Except around 250 people showed up! The theater only sat like 99 people plus another 8-10 in the balcony. They were sitting on each other's laps and filling all the aisles (totally against fire code!) and about 35 people crammed into the balcony (I worried that it might collapse under the weight, but they built things to last back in the early 20th century) Everyone had a 40 or a bottle of Evan Williams. Bowls and joints were passed around. I thought I would definitely be in trouble, but the screening went off without a hitch! Everyone was very polite and well behaved, and cleaned up after themselves. One person puked, but they made it out into the courtyard and did it in the bushes! My boss never found out (until she reads this lol) and the cops never came. What an amazing night that was!

I mean, I know she worked on another franchise selling burgers and actually I rewatched your video on that arc in Wonder Woman's title, and it came to thoughts, What if... sorry, wrong universe... Why didn't they do an "Elseworlds" story where there's a face off between the Colonel Sander from earth three and Diana, the main earth's Wonder Woman, while trying to recrute her for his evil franchise? It's just and idea.

Found this a little late, but I remember a Superman/Radio Shack issue shilling their TRS-80 personal computer. Some villain does something to muddle Superman's ability to do math so two school kids use their TRS-80 to help him do things like calculate how much heat vision to use to evaporate a flash flood without setting the city on fire.

First 👍🏾Lester for recommending you do this Vid on this trilogy, & for you for doing it Sasha. Next although this really has nothing to do with them when I was on vacation in Kauai, Hawaii where there are a lot of wild chickens running around the island, while I sitting outside of a Hilo Hattie store waiting for the wife to finish shopping, I saw some of those wild chickens running toward a KFC & thought it was Hilarious “ KFC Chicken So Good, Chickens Are Rushing Too Get In Them”… Favorite product placement in comics GI JOE comics period which just like their cartoons are All Product Placement

Colonel Sanders was a real person who had a major falling out with KFC before his death over the way they used (or didn't use) his recipes and how they treated his image. That kind of makes him an ideal character for DC comics in a way.

KFC has huge nostalgia for me, because my parents bought a bucket for one of me or my siblings' birthdays at least once a year as a special treat, and so I associate it with happy times. I'm very sad they got rid of the potato wedges, though. The battered fries just aren't as good. The chicken is still great. For a sandwich, though, I still go for Chick-Fil-A.
