Jacen's new obsession with bringing "peace & order" to the galaxy was born from an extreme desire to keep his daughter, Allana, safe. In the books, they even allude to how Jacen's grandfather, Anakin Skywalker similarly turned to try to keep Padme Amidala safe. Artoo actually had a recording showing this. When he showed it to some of the Skywalker/Solo clan, most were startled to see Anakin Skywalker act so posesive and threatening. Jacen was less concerned, stating that all he saw was a husband and soon-to-be father doing what he had to in order to protect his family.

So much better than Disney’s take. They kept a lot of the pillars for the Han Solo movie, him and Chewbacca’s thing in the movie is alright….but I’ve always thought it could’ve been way way cooler. It looks like there was more heart in the formation of their friendship in legends.

Years later, Thrackan joined the Yuuzhan Vong and created the Peace Brigade, a group composed of Vong-allied inhabitants of the Galaxy. Finally, Thrackan, who became Corellia's Chief of State after the Invasion, caused the Second Galactic Civil War after initiating Corellia's uprising against the Galactic Alliance. However, all his plans collapsed when he caused the death of Sintas Vel (Boba Fett's daughter) for which he was killed by her daughter Mirta Gev and Fett himself.

You could argue the Fel Dynasty in Legacy, Roan and Marasiah Fel, are probably Solo descendants as well from Jaina Solo.

I used to hate the books for that whole Yuuzhan Vong thing; which resulted in the death of Anakin, along with Jacen turning evil and being killed in battle against Jaina. But after seeing the movie, I think I prefer the storyline in which Han and Leia have a daughter who's not an evil asshole.

I also hated pretty much everything from NJO onwards because they did screw up much of what I loved. If it were up to me, the new movies would tell a slightly altered version of the Legends continuity; the characters we know and love would be there, but the stories would be a little less dark.

Well, imo, post-25 ABY Legends is probably a better story ("probably" because I haven't read much of it) but I feel that the sequels fit the franchise better. And the reason for that, is the Yuuzhan Vong: they essentially retconned the Rebel Alliance from being heroic freedom fighters to fools who got hundreds of trillions killed by a diabolus ex machina that the Empire would have handled better. And so, watching the celebration at the end of Return of the Jedi isn't really the same anymore. At least the sequels' bad aspects stay within the sequels and don't affect my enjoyment of the original trilogy.
At any rate, I prefer to stay in pre-25 ABY material, Legends or Canon. You keep most of the good stuff (KotOR, Clone Wars Cartoon, Jedi Knight video games, Thrawn Trilogy, The Mandalorian), while leaving out stuff I don't like or feel doesn't fit well in the franchise.
They also have some grandchildern.... The twins both have descendants. I think anakin did too.
I just wanna say, when I first saw the picture of the solo family used for the canon version thumbnail, I literally could not stop laughing for minutes. Kylo Ren in it looks so funny to me.

Even when the narrator blatantly states that the Force Awakens and its characters don't exist in the Legends continuity, these people keep asking why Ben Solo isn't mentioned in the video. Does that specific information just completely go over their heads or is this mostly just trolling?
I think people are just very very dumb these days and simple information goes over their heads.

Actually, a movie or an animated tv show that makes an allusion to Ania Solo would be cool.
Heck, the current Lego games and animated movies are rife with allusions and easter eggs about obscure characters and stories from the Old EU.
And on top of that, "Star Wars: Visions" is basically an anthology made by hardcore Old EU fans for hardcore Old EU fans. It's pretty much a fanservice fest.

Waaaaaaaait a minute, aren't Jaina's descendants the Fel emperors? From the Star Wars Legacy series? I'm sure I've read that somewhere... Galactic emperors from both the Skywalker and Solo lineages aren't really something you forget.
Star Wars was rebooted before they could get to that point.
All we really got to was Jaina and Fel's marriage. So in theory, yes, but it's possible that they somehow broke up (Or one died) before anything happened.
No, in the Star Wars Legacy comics, the Fel emperors are descended from Jagged Fel and Jaina Solo. This is Legends stuff, from before the Disney "canon". The same comics in which Ania Solo appear state that Marasiah Fel was a member of the Galactic Triumvirate.

He was, distantly. Two generations of Solos and Skywalkers were skipped between the last Legend novel (44 ABY) and the Legacy Era (130 - 138 ABY). My personal opinion about where Anya Solo came from was a result of Han's earlier smuggling days and him having had several significant others before Leia. He had a 'younger cousin' by name of 'Jarik Solo', although Jarik was not a relative and merely mimicked the name as a way to get close to Han. Although Han found out about this, he didn't challenge the youth's claim, and as Jarik died just before a New Hope, told him that he'd earned it long ago. It's also possible Anya came into being through Jarik's girlfriends, as the legacy would be one that a 'lost' parent would want to hang on to.

You forgot Jonash Solo's sister Tiion, her husband Randil, their son Thrackan (who was a very important character) and Dalla's illegitimate grandson Threkin Horm . Also, Jaina and Jagged actually had descendency (the Fel who appeared in the Legacy comics).
And now Solo is just a random name an imperial officer gave Han. Shameful
That's why we should stick to legends. I don't consider Disney movies as canon, legends is my Star wars and everyone, who likes legends more should think like that. I hope Disney will let authors continue legends stories along canon.
I actually think it makes more sense. His last name is solo. His character was originally a guy who did life on his own (except chewie). That's just who he is. I feel people really ruin sci Fi characters by giving them TOO much back story and history. It's cool he was just a random no one and made something of himself. It's what made Rey interesting until.... You know
I actually have the Young Jedi Knights books, which are the books that Jaine, Anakin, and Jason are in. They are such good books and I recommend them to anyone who loves star wars

Well, we don't know what Jagged Fel's and Jaina Solo's children were named, but they had to have at least one, because Jagged was the founder of the Imperial Fel dynasty.

Roan Fel and so on are descendants of Jaina Solo. That's more or less factual as it explains both the Fel dynasty's sudden force abilities and it fits well within the timeline of Legends.
That's not "more or less factual" , it is fact that Roan Fel himself calls Jag Fel (who is married to Jaina) his grandfather and every other official source confirms that Roan is Jaina and Jag's grandson. There is no uncertainty at all there.
What I hated the most about Solo was that a random imperial officer gives one of the most influential people their last name. There’s no legacy behind it
Ania Solo does not use the force! She even asked the question "who needs the force when you've got a good blaster at your side?" Ania always relied on her wits and her skill with a blaster and also on her friends to get out of jams.

This story is so rich in content and historical context inside the Star Wars Universe, in my opinion the old cannon is the best and the true cannon. With respect to the new Disney Cannon, but which I don't like, want or approve.

Think about it: the Disney one would be canon, the old Legends EU would also be canon, just in a different reality, and there exists a possibility to come up with new variants later on! Everybody wins!

The problem with that is Disney controls both now. And they say what gets put in either. At the moments, Legends is just a cash magnet fueled by nostalgia and actual good writing. They allow no one to touch it as to not undermine their authority and parody their joke of a Star Wars timeline that they stole elements of Legends from to make (yes stole. They never credit anyone for their obvious copies). It is literally censorship and theft. All the authors and game designers don't get their money from *their* work. Dave Filoni and Timothy Zahn would have been penniless if Disney didn't allow them to write for canon.
So in conclusion. There is only one timeline. Disney's. The other has been rendered fanfiction.

Good video but you forgot a couple important things about Han that would have been good to include for this one.
Dulanna-the Wookiee among those pirates who helped raise him and that's how he learned to understand the Wookiee language. Also, Han's first love, Bria Tharen. And that cargo he dumped? Drugs. It was Spice.

When it comes to Jaina Solo, she married Jag Fel and that is not really where the story ends.
Jag constantly teased Jaina about creating a rival Jedi School in the Galactic Empire.
In the EU comic series Star Wars Legacy the Imperial Knights were common place and the seated true Emperor was a Fel. The Fel family line had no Force sensitives so it is heavily implied that Jaina and Jag sired children and over the years the Fel line, one of them became the seated Emperor.
This is far better than the Disney version.
You should honestly just call this episode Canon. Let's be fair, the so called "episode 7" doesn't belong in the star wars universe. It's just a happy days reunion special.

Why is everyone making this joke? Is it a reference to something? Also, it’s inaccurate, as they clearly said Allana (Han’s granddaughter) is the future Hapan Queen Mother, and the video fails to mention the line of Emperors who trace their lineage back to Jaina.

I enjoyed this. I wish he included the Fel family though. It's stated in wookipedia that Ronan Fel is the grandson of jaina and jagged fel. So that would make Marasiah Fel their great granddaughter. It's not a big deal but since he is using all of legends, they should have been included.

By implication, yes. It was never officially confirmed, but Emperor Roan Fel calls her and Jagged Fel his grandparents. Roan's daughter Marasiah is a distant cousin to Ania Solo, which couldn't happen if Jaina wasn't a part of the Fel dynasty.
Also, to add on, in the Legacy Comics, there's one panel where Ania's friend asked her if she's related "to those Sol...", which got caught off. So, that's closest we can get into confirming that Jaina Solo is the ancestor of Roan Fel and Marasiah Fel.
