    There’re are two kinds of people in this world, those that give up and those who grind it out ! I learned a long time ago that by putting new shocks on a wore out suspension will bring out all the screaming demons you didn’t know were there.

    For anyone who is thinking about doing this, do not use polyurethane bushings. I put some in and it rode horribly. Every crack in the road was like hitting a pothole. It also wouldn't hold an alignment. I ended up putting in new control arms. I think Dorman made them.

      @glennaguon5165 Před 2 lety

      Poly bushings are designed for heavy off road/track use(depends on the motor sport) and replaced more frequently than regular rubber bushings. Poly bushings provide a more rigid ride due the material. So you'll feel every bump, crack, dip and rise. You get more feed back with poly bushings vs "rubber."

    You need to add the small black nylon spacer under the bushing washer so that you get maximum droop out of those front shocks. I have the same KYBs on my 91 pickup. You should also consider a ball joint spacer lift. It allows you to get lift AND relax the torsion bars a bit to reduce the bounciness.

    One suggestion I would make for the green truck before you bother with the wheel alignment though, is to do something about the near zero droop in the front suspension. After market upper and lower control arms and a diff drop will keep you at a nice ride height and straighten out the cv angles a bit, or.. lower the front end and and have the rear springs reset to level it out for better functionality off-road.

    Thank you sir, is there a reason you didn’t upgrade to Teflon bushings on the lower arm? I have a 1989 2WD Toyota pickup. I’ve bought a kit to replace the steering and ball joints. Since I’m going that far I bought a kit to replace all the rubber with Teflon. I don’t see anyone replacing to Teflon and it’s making me wonder if I’ve made a mistake? Thanks for the video, liked and subscribed 👍🏽

    Hey man, I have a weird question. My son has a 1992 Toyota pick up 2 Wheel Dr. It has a little lift spacer upfront and the torsion keys are cranked up about halfway to give it about 1-2 inches of lift. my question is one day he was driving home and the front and just sagged and drop down out of nowhere. And we tried cranking the torsion keys up more but as soon as r hit a bump, it goes right back down. Do you think that the torsion keys or the torsion bars may be busted or stripped out? I can’t seem to figure it out at all.

I have the 2inch bj lift on my 94 and then just did the add a leaf for the rear. I run the 32x11.50x15 STT pro tires. I think it is the perfect hight and tire size. It is also my daily truck.
