People are so annoying. There's people who boycott great games just because it's made by Ubisoft or EA. No doubt there's been some recent hits from both companies recently that are single player but people just willingly miss out on something just out of sheer stubbornness and emotional immaturity. It's a shitting shame.

But total most games have no lightsaber play as the core to the game. You got the battlefront games which yes have lightsabers but thatâs not the core gameplay loop and the first og has none. Star Wars republic commando, Star Wars, squadrons, racer, clone wars 2002, starfighter, demolition, rogue squadron etc. most of the franchise honestly has no lightsaber play

After watching some of the other gameplay trailers they dropped for this, I am pleasantly surprised. This particular team from Ubisoft clearly are passionate about Star Wars and wanted to make a Scoundrel Adventure in it.
Love lightsabers, but it is always awesome to see the more gritty underbelly of the Galaxy of Star Wars and see how regular people live under the Empire.
The Jedi, The Sith, The Rebels and the Empire are just tiny grains of sand in a massive massive galaxy full of countless planets and history, Iâm glad that for once we are gonna see Star Wars through the eyes of someone who isnât force sensitive or is fighting the empire etc. we need more of this. â€ïž

Ive never related to Jabba the Hutt so much.
They nailed the SW atmosphere and graphics! But it's still Ubisoft, so I'm cautiously optimistic. But it won't be open world like for example AC open world. More story driven and linear with bigger hubs. We will see.

Itâs a bit worrying they didnât allow you to play in the open world⊠for me thatâs the main selling point of the game. As a kid I played as a rebel soldier on Hoth (Battlefront) as a Jedi (Jedi Fallen Order/ The Phantom Menace PC game back in the day đ) but the ultimate one was just travelling around the galaxy, being a badass. I truly hope this delivers on that!
Because it's either empty, or it's a bunch of copy past outposts like Far Cry and Assassin's Creed.
That's not a dig either, AC Shadows blew me away and I loved Odyssey, so if Shadows is 100 hours of clearing 200 Forts, I'd be happy. I'm just saying that from what they've shown so far, there ain't hardly anything out there when they're showing off the speeder bike, and chances are they're ain't much outside of the usual Ubi style filler stuff.
Itâs because open world stuff canât be rushed and in the case they are rushing everyone to play the game because itâs a lot of media. Yâall just have to use common sense

@@troybracy2915 That is the common sense thing, but with the track record of games over the last decade, it is also valid that they are avoiding it because it is not as great as you would hope. Tons of repetition, emptiness, and more have been pretty common for these types of games unfortunately. So trust to automatically think it is just that is kinda running low.
Still cautiously optimistic about this game, but seeing the devs excited to bring something new to star wars was great since we've had nothing but copy paste for the last 10 years it feels
Agreed. Granted, it is the thousandth time we see Tatooine in Star Wars, but stuff like the new planet, new focus on a rarely explored part of the lore etc, makes me have some hope

All the CZcamsrs that I've seen cover this game so far say it's really good. It looks surprisingly polished for a Ubisoft game too which is cool.

Same. Cannot wait for the woke story and dialog dump to be exposed. Hopefully this won't be one, but they have been pretty woke on the starwars franchise as a whole... Except maybe jedi survivors that I know of at least. I just wanna immerse into the world without being kicked out of it with modern politics... Not looking good considering they did the turn the lady slightly uglier thing. Hoping though...

Some of us have been waiting for a game like this since Kyle Katarn got his Lightsaber.
Not everyone wants to be a Jedi and personally I can't wait for this. I loved my Smuggler back in the day playing West End Games Star Wars TTRPG and though Star Wars Galaxies, and to a greater extent The Old Republic, came close, we really haven't had a non-force user Star Wars game in a long, long time.
Im really looking forward to this game from what I have seen so far, not a fan of Ubisoft by any means but I will give credit where credit is due and this is looking awesome

While it wasnât exactly a Wanted system, Star Wars Galaxies had a Bounty system where when you were scene with a Lightsaber out or using Jedi powers you would get a bounty, and then after the NGE it returned but was turned into a punishment system for getting deathblows on players. The people hunting you were always other players of the Bounty Hunter profession (class). Bounty Hunters also had the ability to do NPC bounty missions which rewarded a sizable amount of credits and schematics for crafted Bounty Hunter armor which had the appearance of one of the components for creating Mandalorian armor.
Omg the original SW Galaxies before they destroyed it what an awesome time... the Guilds built were insane. Plus when you finally became a force user was an epiphany somewhat =P!

The sneakiness of this game reminds me a lot of the way I play Skyrim, I really like it
I feel good being able to brag to my brother that I told him so, when I first heard about this game I instantly had faith in the process. Now here we are, the game look unbelievable! Just as it should be. The world, the costume, the charactersâ, all look very interesting. Iâm a huge critic on NPCâs so weâve yet to see how they come along. Iâve seen other commentaries that hinted that you would have to ask around for things in small towns or cities, so if they deliver like Skyrim on that, then well.. lovely at best. Also, if the NPCâs actually randomly have chores and relationships with one another similar if not better than Red Dead Redemption, then wow. Thanks for pointing out the snow on the jacket, the cold air breathing effect, how nice it felt to fly, ride the bike, and unlock the puzzles. These notes all make me feel even more anxious. I absolutely love it.
That the debris field the ship is flying in has a really creepy vibe to it I love it I know itâs not a horror game, but I hope that certain parts are kind of scary because the Star Wars Galaxy is a pretty scary place weâre playing as a scoundrel that seems to explore the Galaxy so they have a good opportunity here to show off some of the horrors that lerk in the galaxy

@Betlethom43 Yea those games are open world but I guess my definition of what an open world should be is a game that let's me make my own character and do whatever I want. I like how this game offers a story but it's the main focus of the game and ig I'm just not the biggest fan of that. I really just want a Stat wars game that let's me do those things

Ok this looks fvckng cool. One part of me tells me âdonât trust in Star Wars gamesâ but one little shinny part of me tells me âto doâ I feel like I might give it a shot and try it. My last fav Star Wars game was battlefront 2015. It was my first online multiplayer game I could ever experience. And it was really good, before EA started giving updates and messed the game up.
Iâm playing and canât wait. Iâm not a star wars fan, but Iâm excited to play this and explore the world.
While it does look better than initial perceptions (at least for me) there's no way I'm paying $110 for a complete game. Even if I eventually get it, it'll be when it's on sale.

This game looks great its set after Empire Strikes Back and before Return of the Jedi! Love that section of the era, basically Shadows of the Empire. No lightsabers? Perfect played those enough!

My fav bits of the Jedi Knight Jedi Outcast game was the bit on Nar Shaddar and I remember wishing I could just explore more of that world, not just follow a linear path. So this game is already on a winning line with what it's showing.
The fact we aren't force sensitive or a jedi is also SUPER refreshing as having Jedi in everything is... Getting boring. Which the Jedi should Never be.
The planet and environment look really good but the combat seems kinda dull.

Not a HUGE star wars fan, but I do love star wars, every real guy loves star wars, and this game actually seems really cool honestly.
NGL, I came out of Ubisofts demo feeling really "meh" about the game but all the clips in this video look WAY better than what Ubisoft themselves showed.

GTA and RDR smashed together but its Star Wars, also lets be honest at 1:41 how does the character make the jump like it looks like they are just hovering over in a straight line at one point. Jumping that high and lets be honest in real life with a 9ft gap at 1:45 like I get this is star wars but like come on

At least it is a game mechanic that looks derpy rather than being a show. Honestly my issue is that stormtroopers are being used as regular imperial grunts, especially in the middle of the war. Yeah, they are more common in this period, but it would have been cool to see some regional police forces with droids and interesting uniforms.

well it looks like the devs are actually passionate about the game and built a very solid experience but we're talking about having ubisoft as a supervisor so the game probably will probably be bugged as fuck on realease and the princing is horrible (day one dlc for $11 and season pass in a single player game) but it'll probably be a good game to buy for $30 bucks after 3 or 4 months.
