    Wow! Thank you so much for sharing! I am new to needle felting, and I had no idea how feet are made. I had seen them on various sites, but without clear information on how they are made. I made a little mouse the other day - poor little fellow had platypus feet. Your tutorial is so amazing! I am going to gather the various tools so I can get started and make another mouse. I am so excited! Thank you, thank you!.

    I love needle felting because it relaxes me, I enjoy just losing myself in my project.
    Watching you work so skillfully with wax though has me on the edge of a nervous breakdown.😂
    I would end up creating a horrendous mess and knowing my luck, could end up in A&E with burns.
    I really admire your dedication and your attention to detail is just fantastic.
    Thanks for sharing. 💕💕

    This is a great! I can't find a video where you actually make a rat. A dear friend of mine just loves rats and I want to make her one so I would love to see one where you put it all together the feet and nose and ears to make the actual rat :)

    In some of your pics your waxed feet, noses etc look really shiney. Do you use a varnish on top of the wax? Lovely work by the way! I bought some of the clear wax from your Etsy store to help me make my bears claws and noses but would love a bit more shine x

    • @MumsMakery
      @MumsMakery  Před 5 lety

      Hi, Sorry only just saw your comment ... you can pop a bit of varnish on them .. very tips of claws .. but do bear in mind that varnish isn't flexible and the wax may make it crack .. I suggest testing it out first before applying it to a loved project and see if it does what you want :) I need to find out how I turn on notifications for comments hehe :)

    These are amazing and very helpful, thanks. I'm wondering though, do they get dried and brittle and break after a time?

    • @MumsMakery
      @MumsMakery  Před 5 lety +2

      Hi :) sorry for the delay in replying (i don't always realise people have left comments lol) .. if you use just beeswax then it can crack over time .. the felters wax however has more elasticity .. neither will become brittle but don't forget if you get light cracking just warm it up with a little gentle heat and rub it with your finger and any cracks will disappear :)

    Is it a special wax? or can I use candle wax?

  • @wolffchadd4440
    @wolffchadd4440 Před 3 lety +1

    I have a question, you mention the elasticity of the filters wax... would it work for a hand or foot that will be posed and reposed repeatedly in, for example, stopmotion animation?

    • @MumsMakery
      @MumsMakery  Před 3 lety

      Hi, I wouldn't really recommend it for that kind of moment as with small adjustments it would be fine the starting and end point of an animation sequence would probably be to big and the wax sets quite hard so it would have to be warmed to get the movement. Hope that helps :)

    • @wolffchadd4440
      @wolffchadd4440 Před 3 lety

      @@MumsMakery it does, thank you. Would you have any suggestions on what I could use instead?

    • @MumsMakery
      @MumsMakery  Před 3 lety

      @@wolffchadd4440 It's not my area so I wouldn't like to guess, the only thing I can think that is supple enough is something like plasticine but I am sure a google search will yield much more informative results lol .. good luck with the stop motion animation :)
