Just ordered my wax today, can't wait to play
feel free to post pics of your makes on the Mum's Makery Facebook page ... enjoy your purchase :)
Thank you!
This is so cool! I got a small amount of wool to start felting and saved my dog's fur to make a replica of her. Made the armature a few years ago but never got around to felting it. I breed rats, so am very interested in seeing tutorials for making those too! I just subscribed to your channel.
Fab!!! Look forward to seeing some of your makes :)
Gday, just subscribed. Just wondering how the wax fairs in the heat? I am an aussie needle felter and I haven't seen the wax used here. I use fabric stiffner but it doesn't have the same realisitic effect. Love your work. 👍
Hi :) .. I have had the wax sat in direct sunlight ... obviously it isn't recommended lol ... but it held up ok .. honestly I have no concept of just how hot it gets there lol .. but it should hold it's shape fine it will naturally be a bit softer in constant heat but because it is a blend it should hold up ok :) just keep out of direct sun :) .. hope that helps
Very interesting method on making noses. Definitely going to try this. Could you tell me what you used for the whiskers please?
Hi .. of course .. the whiskers are horse hair :)
Asum tutorial ThanYou
Thank you :) x
Hi there, very helpful your tutorials, do you have one for the ferret, i want to make one for a friend, thank you
Hi, no I don't I'm afraid I just made him to demonstrate parts :) maybe will do one in the future :) .. glad you enjoy the videos :)
@@MumsMakery ok thanks , will try to do it on my own :-)
This is awesome plan on using this. Where do you get your melting pots?
Hi :) thats great! I got mine from amazon .. it was a glade one but there are many on the market .. look for one with a removable dish on the top then you can just use the hotplate. Its a wax warmer for melting those scented melts :)
Go to the site for the wax, they have another good tutorial beside hers
www.mumsmakery.co.uk/products/felters-wax-needle-felting-wax
there are several videos on the channel on using the wax for ears, feet and more :) Hope they help :)
Do you ship to the US? I would love to try out your wax.
Hi Terri, Yes we ship worldwide and only charge a flat rate .. www.mumsmakery.co.uk :)
I live in Canada, looks like the best I can get around here is beeswax. Will you be restocking this in your store?
Hi .. yes I have just finished making more wax ... so it should be back in stockbin a few days
Can you add wax to an already finished piece, to make it look shiny ✨?
yes you can. obviously it is more tricky to do it this way as you don't want to get wax on the rest of your project so I would recommend adding it in tiny amounts with an applicator of some sort. Also test out the wax first on trial pieces rather than just going straight for the finished project. the wax wont be really shiny but does add a nice finish to noses :) .. hope that helps :)
@@MumsMakery thank you so much for your advice, much appreciated!
@@maryannpetri3230 Anytime :)
Would this method work for hooves I wonder??
you can certainly use it for hooves over wool it gives a lovely variation in colour and can look very natural :)
What sort of hotplate are you using please?
hellsmermaid it's glade .. Glade Wax Melts Warmer www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B012NP7O6M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_u9puBb18A88JK
Thank you, that's great!
What happens if the air conditioning goes out on a 90 degree (F) day?
Hi :) thank you for your question I am not 100% sure ... it should be ok providing you don't have it in direct sunlight the wax may soften slightly so handling it could add additional indentations ... but the honest answer is I don't know this is my best guess. I have had it sat in direct sunlight here in the UK but I don't think it was that hot! :)
Hard to see if you don’t close up, try please.
Hi, I am not sure what you mean as I use a close up camera in the video. regards,
